    • I like this tape measure.

I've been using this tape for about a week now. Some of the reviews indicated that the hook on the end was loose and affected the accuracy of the ruler. I discovered I had exactly the same problem. However, upon examination I realized that if the rivets were set better, it would put it back into an accurate position. For that reason I used a peen hammer and was able to tighten up the rivets to where they do not slip anymore. It didn't take very much pressure and I did not hammer hard. Just a few taps and things tightened right up. It is now dead on accurate. I like the heft and feel of the housing of the tape in my hand. I enjoy the separate finger break underneath and the regular locking mechanism works well. I also enjoy that I can stretch the tape out somewhere between 10 and 11 ft before it kinks and falls. That's much better than the other tapes that I've been using. I hope that it will last as long as it feels like it will. ... show more

This tape measure is very sturdy and seems like it will be very durable! It is a little on the heavy side, but I feel like that just makes it seem like better quality. A great purchase for our first home that will last many years!

Overall love the product, especially the opening for you to use your finger to easily hold the tape or control speed of retraction. At about four feet, the tape will fold and fall, so will need a helper or nail to hold the end for longer measurements. Nice big markings. Easy to use.
