  • Must Have Tool
This is my “go to” tool for measuring on small projects. Easy to use, the knob makes adjustments quick. I tried another brand because of price and it’s not the same quality. I bought this for my son. I’ve now given several away.

  • I Love This Tool
I know some of the reviews are not that great, but I found this tool to be very helpful, and I use it quite often. Great for making multiple boards in exactly the same place every time.

  • A Must-Have for Every DIY Enthusiast!
I've been tackling home improvement projects for decades, and the Kreg Multi-Mark has quickly become one of my go-to tools. Whether I'm marking precise angles, transferring measurements, or just using it as a simple ruler, this tool does it all. It’s lightweight but feels sturdy, and the adjustable arm is a game changer when you’re working with irregular shapes. I’ve taken this tool on the road with me during my travels across the US, and it’s saved me more than once when working on impromptu repairs or quick carpentry jobs. It’s compact enough to fit in my tool belt but versatile enough to handle most measuring tasks. If you’re someone who values precision without the hassle of carrying multiple tools, this little gadget is worth every penny. It might look simple, but it’s one of those things you don’t realize you need until you start using it. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Save wear and tear on your measuring tape.
This has been a handy tool across many trades while I've been building a large addition my house. It has mainly served as a depth gauge and quick level. As far as being a square? Use a square if you need a square, and after I read the reviews complaining about this tool not being square, I chalked that up to inexperience on the part of the users. Here is a quick list of great things it did for me and others on the job site: - Laying a line to rip-trim a board or siding. The old tape and pencil trick worked fine for years, but the Handi-mark and pencil trick is the way to go. Even in gloves, you'll get a straight and accurate line for the entire length of the material. - Transfer a measurement. Take the tool to a gap. extend the rule across the gap. Secure it. Take the adjusted tool to your material. Use the tool to make a mark. Cut. Fit the cut piece to the gap. That is. Perfectly fit the cut piece to the gap. Leave you tape hanging on your tool belt the whole time. -Hardware guesser. Pick the perfect size screw or nail for even the most oddly shaped structure. It even helps if you need to add shims and spacers before securing the hardware. -Quick square. The square and the 45 angle setting are close enough for the average work day. If some of the posters were building fine furniture or space shuttles, they should have gotten precision tools. -Helper's helper. Stay where you are. Send you help to set this tool to a measurement you need. Take the now set tool and make an accurate cut without wondering if they read the tape correctly. So easy, an 8 year old can do it. All in all, this little tool will save a lot of time while doing the tedious little tasks associated with building and assembly. For simple furniture and indoor woodworking, it will do an acceptable job. On construction sites, it will save time. I bought it with the understanding that it wasn't a precision instrument and with that in mind, it exceeded my expectations. This tool is in my pouch now. 24/7 The possibilities are as many as the things we've had to do with tape measures over the years. ... show more

  • Key item to have
Use all the time for projects. Was recommended to me by a friend and I didn’t realize how much I needed it till I purchased it. Great tool just to have and the uses will pop up when you’re doing projects.

  • I wish I knew about it this sooner!
This thing is awesome! I never knew that I needed it before now. It makes drawing long straight lines a snap. I’ve been making planter boxes with it left and right!

  • Useful but Limited Capabilities
I was aware of the shortcomings of this tool from reading other reviews, but it showed up on sale and for $10 so I decided to give it a try. The tool arrived in a blister pack and is provided with no case or protective pouch. Also there is just one ruler included, some of the sellers pictures may lend some to think that more than one ruler is provided. The body of this Kreg tool is the same blue plastic that Kreg uses on a lot of their tools. In the body are two brass threaded inserts that are used to secure the ruler using the knurled thumb knob. On the backside of the tool is a standard bubble level. The ruler itself is 6" with Imperial graduations in 1/16th increments on one side and Metric graduations in 1cm increments on the other. The measurements are on both facing sides and run in opposite directions so you can measure from right or left. The ruler fits nicely in a recess when installed straight and adjusts easily and securely using the knurled thumb knob. I also found the ruler on mine to fit snugly when installed in the horizontal slot when using as a 90 degree angle guide or square. Pictures show this Multi-Mark also being used at other angles, however there are no angle markings on the tool body and the metal ruler slides easily out of place when it is not installed in the recessed vertical and horizontal slots. After some use I can see this tool will come in handy when using as a basic rule and for quickly marking layouts. It will also be useful for marking 90 degree angles on 2x4's, and for setting heights on router bits or saw blades. Having an extra level around also never hurts. This tool is far from perfect however. The large knurled brass knob is great for making quick adjustments but gets in the way and does not let the tool lay anywhere close to flat when trying to use on a flat surface. So, this tool is pretty worthless for marking any angle other than a 90 degree line on a 2x4 (or smaller) as the knob gets in the ways and the ruler can slip easily not in the recessed vertical or horizontal slot. Note: There is a circular recessed area on the side where the level is found. I thought this had some use but appears to be just a recess for the thumb knob to fit in to allow for a thinner shipping package. Overall I'm pleased with this tool as I am only going to use this as a marking gauge. However, this tool could have easily been designed a whole lot better allowing for more functionality. ... show more
