Handy design for travel or specific situations, but not spiky enough for real relief. I'd give it 3.5 stars, because it could improve. I like the size & the carry bag, and since it doesn't have padding I can wear it under a shirt. I originally purchased to wrap over my shoulder for an injury that was bothering me at work, and I was able to wear it that way. On vacation, I can lay it over a hotel pillow or a rolled up towel to avoid packing a neck pillow, or use it on a car ride. The flaw is that the spikes are more like blunt pyramids than needles, so they only loosen things up a little bit instead of really breaking through the tension. If they were sharp like other mats and pillows I'd be much happier with the product. ... show more

It doesn't help unless you have some way to push it where you need the pressure. There are ties on both sides that are supposed to apply that pressure but they don't, at least I couldn't figure it out. I returned it.

I purchased this for my father as a Christmas gift this year. He broke his back when he was in the military in the 80s. While it has been a very long time, he still deals with a lot of residual pain. This acupressure belt has worked to relieve inflammation which is what causes a lot of the pain.

I have several acupressure products and love them, but this one is not like the others. The "nails" aren't nearly as sharp and are more rounded and smooth. They look like rose petals rather than the "nails" that all the other products I own.
