    • Enjoyable to play

Beautiful uke. The neck feels great in the hand. Easy to play chords. Finish is really nice. Great sound for a laminated uke.

Size: Baritone Style: Gloss
I bought this to get back into the music I played in my misspent youth -- but with four strings to be easy on my old hands -- and I've been really pleased with it. The baritone uke is tuned like the top four strings of a guitar, and it's perfectly adequate to accompany a solo alto voice. You don't get a lot of volume out of it, but it's a beautiful, mellow sound and the narrow neck and gentle strings are easy to play. ... show more

    • Kala KA-TG tenor uke
Size: Tenor Style: Gloss
Beautiful and sounds awesome. Delivered quickly, packed well. I also own the made by Kala Makala baritone ukulele and love it although it actually required some help to get it working properly. This tenor is perfect for my needs and worked well straight out of the box. These are not pro-level instruments but they get the job done well for beginners or for folks who aren't freaked out by every tiny thing not being totally perfect. I highly recommend Kala brand products. They are very well worth their modest price and sound beautiful. ... show more

    • Good value Baritone
Size: Baritone Style: Gloss
Very good instrument at its price point after a few tweaks, I had to sand down the bottom of the bridge saddle a bit as the action was a little too high. Went through at least five different manufacturers strings until it really came alive finally for me with the Oasis Fluorocarbon set for DGBE tuning. Neck and instrument are very pleasing and enjoyable to play. Little issue with the 3rd string having a bit wonky resonance at the 6 and 7th fret for some reason . I recommend it ... show more

    • My Review
Size: Baritone Style: Gloss
First impression, I am very satisfied at this time with this Baritone Ukulele. It is a nice ukulele for the price, it sounds good, and I like it. It came with the strap button on the bottom and it has fret markers on the side. It has a deep sound and does not sound like a tin can, The tuners turn easy and stay put. I would recommend this to others. I am keeping this one. ... show more

    • Inexspensive
Size: Tenor Style: Gloss
It is not a top of the line ukulele but for the money it is very good. It arrived 3 days ahead of predicted time and well packaged. I will change the shoulder strap and the case. They were both less than what I would use. The ukulele itself is very nice looking and of descent craftmanship. After tuning it up I checked the tuning at fret 12 and find it still in tune up the neck. That says a lot for the usefulness of the instrument. Forget about the strap and bag, the instrument is well worth the cost. ... show more

    • Beautiful!
Size: Baritone Style: Gloss
The Baritone Ukulele arrived in beaten up package. But inside the Kala Ukulele was perfect. I attached my RODIE 2 to tune it up and 30 seconds later I played the instrument. The sound was beautiful. I have 4 Baritone Ukuleles and this produces the richest most soothing sound. It immediately became my number one go to Instrument. The quality of the finish is superb. Thank you Kala Music! ... show more

    • DO NOT BUY UNLESS IT IS BEING SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM KALA
Size: Baritone Style: Gloss
Many small companies will buy up these instruments and keep them to sell through Amazon fulfillment. A high quality ukulele like this one is made of wood which is very sensitive to the environment. When these ukuleles sit in warehouses for months on end, the humidity can fluctuate rapidly and cause problems. I purchased one of these and it had a problem with the truss rod so rather than getting it fixed, I returned it and bought a new one. This new one was very dry. The wood of the body had actually dipped slightly. After humidifying it in a case, it appears to be normal but there is still a faint buzzing sound that i can hear when playing. If you would like to purchase this instrument, do not buy it from any amazon retailers unless they are a music store that knows how to take care of instruments. I highly recommend you purchase directly from Kala instead. ... show more
