  • Quirky little printer that’s “okay” for teaching the concept of 3d printing.
Color: White
The media could not be loaded. When I saw this little printer, I wondered if it really worked. The answer to that question is yes! This quirky little printer isn’t going to win any awards for accuracy, but it does indeed print. It arrived in a very small box with everything ready to assemble. Assembly involves connecting the interlocking pieces by either sliding or twisting and locking them in place. This does have the advantage of being able to take it back apart also. Just plug in a few connectors after assembling the structure and you are ready to print. The printer comes with a rather unique magnetic bed. You get two mini sized build plates for the printer which are unique. They have perforations in them to help assist with filament bonding to the surface. There is no heated bed with this printer. Everything about this printer is very minimalistic. There is no screen, it prints only the last thing on the SD card (which it does come with). You level the printer by pressing four buttons, each representing a corner of the bed. Pressing each will cause the print head to move to a corner and descend to the bend, allowing you to adjust each corner of the bed. Once done, you can raise the print head, (again using a button) and start printing. This is where the lack of quality shows. Because of the way this printer has been designed, each of the axis has way too much play. For example, the print bed moves along a rail using a simple plastic slider. But that slider has too much clearance. As a result, you can see in my video the bed will shift side to side when moving either one direction or the other. From a design aspect, one could probably 3d print components to modify it to eliminate this issue. If you want to show someone how a 3d printer works or teach basic concepts of 3d printing this printer would be okay. However, some of the problems this printer has could make that difficult and because of the quirky methods of printing could be discouraging. ... show more

  • This is not a good 3D printer
Color: White
I have been into 3D printing for about ten years now. I started with a DaVinci Jr. 1.0 Pro, I upgraded to a Longer LK4 Pro, I then upgraded from that to an AnkerMake M5C, and I picked this up thinking it could be a nice little supplemental printer for small pieces. I'm sad to report that this printer isn't worth the money. - First, it's small. It's very, VERY small. - Second, it's very, VERY slow. - Third, it's very shaky. The printer wobbles and vibrates so badly that you basically have zero chance of getting a crisp line out of it. All prints look "lumpy" for lack of a better description. - Fourth, this printer is a pain to level. My Longer LK4 had to be manually leveled, and it was a breeze compared to this. Because the printer only has the one gantry, the print head tends to slope downward as it moves away from the gantry. - Fifth, the software that came with it was unusable. I tried installing the version of Cura that came with it onto my Mac, and my Mac wouldn't allow me to because it couldn't verify that the software was safe. I ended up installing Cura directly from Ultimaker's site and adding this printer manually. - Sixth, the SD card readers that came with this printer were buggy and actually broke both the SD card that came with it and the spare that I had lying around. Both cards became "read only" after plugging them into the adapter. I ended up having to plug the SD card into my Windows PC using my own adapter and using command prompt and "diskpart" to get the card working again. - Seventh, for around $30 more, you can usually find much better printers on Amazon. Believe me, it's worth the extra $30. - Eighth, the printer documentation is difficult to read (because it's so small), and it's inconsistent. The listing refers to this printer as a "K10," but some of the documentation refers to it as a "K9." The EasyThreed website doesn't even list a K10 printer among their offerings. If a printer like this had released ten years ago for around $100, it would have been a huge hit. Unfortunately, this printer is NOT releasing ten years ago. It's releasing today. And given the market today, I cannot recommend this printer. There are much better options out there for just a little bit more than this price point. ... show more

  • Pretty cool
Color: White
This is great for a beginner with 3d printing. Print quality is good and dries really fast so it's not sticky. Has a little chemical smell but not over whelming. Great for starters

  • Eh go elsewhere
Color: White
Can't recommend this. Very tricky setup for any one as there first printer. No screen no any thing very barebone machine. Print quality is lack luster and not worth the effort. The hotend is very very cheap and has quite the heat creep and struggles to stay at temp for the whole print. Which is probably why it has no screen so you can't see that part. Very very lose fitment of parts and overall shotty build quality. For this price get something like an ender 3 it's about as complex but atleast has potential to be a good printer. ... show more
