The hangers work extremely well. They are very sturdy and have a good weight to them. The swing mechanism operates smoothly and the hardware is solid. I used my own screws because I wanted longer ones to run into studs, as I was hanging a lot of weight. However, the screws that come with the hangers are of high quality. I just needed something a bit longer for my specific use. The hanger itself can certainly handle a lot more weight than what's stated. I am using this item for Gymnastic rings. The positions which we physically get into could be extremely dangerous should the bracket not hold. I feel very confident with the bracket with regard to stability and believe longevity will be good. For those who need install instructions like me, this item comes with 4 lag bolts, their dimensions are 3/8x3. Each requires a pilot hole to be drilled, I used a 5/16th drill bit to do this as I was mounting on to soft wood. I used a 9/16 socket on a socket wrench to tighten them.
