  • Best rebounder on the market
Style: JumpSport 550f PRO
This is not my first rebounder. I have seen and used many, even the Bellicon. None of them are made as well as this JumpSport. This rebounder is made like a tank. The size of the tubing used is thicker than any other AND they don't just paint it like most other companies do - the powder coat the finish on so it last a lifetime. The thickness of the frame is also much beefier than other rebounders. If you plan to kepp your rebounder for many years than this is the rebounder you need. The bungee cords are fully adjustable to get the perfect amount of bounce you prefer, and it is very quiet to use. Looks like Bellicon is no longer the king of the hill. I just wish they made a T-Bar for it. Other than that I highly recommend this rebounder. ... show more

  • Awesome Quality
Style: JumpSport 550f PRO
This rebounder (though expensive) is awesome! It is so sturdy and you don't feel uneasy under it at all. Spreetail offered EXCELLENT customer service and was so helpful when I reached out. The bounce is perfect and I know it will last a long time. I bought a much cheaper version and was not happy at all. This 550 Pro is a great investment into your health. I feel stronger already! ... show more

  • Really quality, fun to use, does take up some room
Style: JumpSport 550f PRO
Love it- GREAT cardio workout and much easier on my knees than other cardio workouts which I also love. I set the timer for a 5 minute workout while watching tv and it IS a workout. Now, in my home gym, I do the 45 min or hour long Bob Harper DVDs (no problem). So, this is said by a non-wimp exerciser. It is different and adds to your usual exercise routine. If you have NO knee or hip problems, it is probably a great apartment or home exerciser for even longer exercise periods. As my husband was putting this together for me, he (an even more discerning consumer) kept saying "this is a quality product" It is a quality product-- VERY sturdy. I weigh 150 Lbs (I am also 5' 10" tall) and I do one legged kicks, etc. It has been rock solid for me. A friend reminded me how much I enjoyed this activity 30 years ago so I got this model. You may not need the 41 inch model- it does take up some room. With the handle bar which I HIGHLY recommend for anyone with joint or balance issues as safety feature, you are unlikely to be folding it up. Given that we are okay with this in our foyer (so I can watch tv and do my own routies), I give it a 5 star rating. Pricey but worth EVERY penny, I think IF you have balance problems, it will HELP them (unless severe, check with your doc) but please please get that handle bar. I have nothing to do with this company by the way; just love these products. ... show more

  • 5 star Customer service
Style: JumpSport 550f PRO
When I received trampoline there was a small safety part that was broken. I contacted seller and explained situation. They were supper prompt with a response and very responsive. I've received the replacement part, installed and all is well. Actually this is a great mini trampoline, I'm super happy with the quality and I'm glad I spent the extra money to purchase. I've read about people having this brand for over ten years before replacing the bungee cords. Did I mention how quiet and stable it is? It is and I love it. ... show more

  • Love this rebounder!
Style: JumpSport 550f PRO
I am so glad I purchased this brand! It was very easy to put together. I’ve been using an inexpensive one for awhile and wondered if there really was much difference with the more expensive ones. It’s night and day! This one is much larger and the bounce is amazing! I was beginning to feel some irritation on my lower back with the inexpensive one and this one is so much smoother and a much softer bounce. I look forward to using it everyday!! Totally worth the money. ... show more

  • Decision Making Process & First Impressions...Will Update
Style: JumpSport 550f PRO
There are so many fitness trampolines (rebounders) on the market. Since I'm someone who obsesses over purchases, coming to a decision took me a couple of months. I know there are others out there like me, which is why I took the time to explain how I arrived at my decision. If you are someone who just wants the review, skip the part where I give my first impressions. Decision Making Process Criteria *Safety (construction) *Cost (best value) *Materials (Spring vs. Bungee) *Size (size of footprint vs. my personal needs) *Ease of Use (assembly and upkeep) Research Methods *Safety: I watched several videos created by manufacturers and consumers. I looked at the type of bounce each trampoline provided and looked at stability it provided for each bounce. Also looked at how the person looked when bouncing. Last, I looked at manufacturer websites to see if safety was even addressed. Manufacturer reputation was also considered. *Cost: I had no idea how expensive trampolines could be. My budget was flexible to an extent because I wanted to find the best value. Ultimately, I wanted to buy a solid trampoline that would deliver a good workout, without falling apart, or risking injury. Additionally, I considered cost for replacement parts if needed. *Materials: Through my research, I found there are essentially 2 types on the market: Spring & Bungee. YouTube videos really helped me here because I could see both types in action. Ultimately, I wanted something quiet, which is why I went with a bungee type. *Size: My height was the determining factor, I'm 5'8" and wanted something that would give me room to do a modified jumping jack. So I knew I needed something with a larger diameter. Had I only wanted to do the simple "health bounce," a smaller diameter would have been fine. *Ease of Use: I wanted something easy to setup and easy to take apart (if I went with a folding model). Since I decided to go with a bungee trampoline, I wanted to make sure replacing and making adjustments to each bungee would be relatively simple. I had read that spring versions were more difficult to replace, which was another reason why I leaned toward the bungee type. JumpSport vs. Bellicon These were the 2 major bungee trampolines I researched. There are others out there, but these were the 2 I thought stood out over the rest. So I stacked my criteria against each model to help me decide. Overall both brands met my criteria, so it really came down to cost. Bellicon overall, is more expensive than JumpSport. Bellicon models start at 679 dollars, while JumpSport PRO models starting prices around 400 dollars. Obviously, I decided on the JumpSport because I felt the advantages of the Bellicon were more like features found on a high end luxury car, which were not necessary to getting a decent workout (in my opinion). Plus putting things in perspective, even the JumpSport entry models are superior to many of the "cheaper" models on the market. JumpSport Models There are several models and I think all of them can deliver a great workout. Main differences between PRO and non-pro models are the number of bungees and I believe their overall bungee strength. PRO models were designed to be used in commercial gyms, where they would be used several times each day for intense workouts. Some PRO models have larger surface areas as well. For me, it came down to size, as I wanted to have a large enough surface area to do a variety of exercises (remember I'm 5'8"). So my options were narrowed down to the 550 & 570, as those are the largest. Again, cost was a factor as both models are nearly identical. The main factor driving up the cost of the 570 is the skirt that goes around the top of the trampoline. After watching videos, I did not think a padded skirt justified the difference in cost for me, however, it's good JumpSport offers the option for those who might like it. Added bonus, the 550 can be broken down and folded in half for storage. JumpSport 550: First Impressions This was delivered only a few hours ago, but since there are not too many reviews posted on this model, I wanted to at least give my initial impressions with intent to update this review after using it for a few months. *Unboxing: I believe this weighs around 25 lbs. Mine was delivered in a rectangular box with the JumpSport Logo sealed with staples & packing tape. The box is long, but I managed (I'm 5'8"), though it was a bit heavy for me. The trampoline is folded in half, like a taco. Be mindful of the staples as you open the box. It was packed with large chunks of Styrofoam to keep the frame stable during shipment. There's a sturdy plastic strap keeping the trampoline closed, so use strong scissors to cut it. Inside of the trampoline, there is a box containing the legs. Each leg is packaged in bubble-wrap the trampoline itself is encased in a large clear bag. Inside of that box also contains a clever pouch you can use to store the legs if you ever want to breakdown the trampoline. In the main box, you will find a bag containing a fitness DVD and pamphlet showing you how to set up the trampoline. *Assembly: I had a hard time getting the frame open, but there is a card attached to the frame illustrating how to do it. It could just be my model though or operator error on my part (highly likely). One of the benefits to this model is you do not need any tools to screw the legs on, which is nice. Each leg is secured with a twisty contraption (not sure what you call it). All you do is turn the dial until tight and you're done. Each bungee is already attached set to factory settings and easy to adjust. With unboxing and assembly, it took me 25 minutes. I'm not handy or mechanically inclined so it's highly possible to get it set up faster. *Use: Like I said, I haven't really used it yet, but I did test it. Overall, it's very quiet. It seems stable & well constructed. The bounce is great too and I'm excited to start working out on it. Notes About Folding & Storage: Though I wrote earlier in my review that the fact it folds is a bonus, it's not convenient. In fact, when I talked to customer service, the representative advised me not to purchase this model for the folding feature alone. She said the advantage comes into play if you on occasions, like travelling, or longer term storage. I now see why, as you would have to unscrew each leg from the frame to fold it in half, which takes time. Sure, the more you do it, the faster it will be, but it still takes effort to detach and then attach each leg. Bellicon has the option to upgrade to folding legs, but it costs extra. I could see folding legs as a great option for those in smaller dwellings, where it would be space prohibitive to leave the trampoline out all of the time. This way, you could fold in the legs and store it under a bed, sofa, etc., and pull it out for use. I'm not certain if the trampoline frame folds on the Bellicon...so check into that if your curious. ***Update 11/13/13**** I have been using this every 2 days or so since it arrived. One observation about the legs. I find i have to tighten the legs before using the trampoline, as they seem to loosen up during use. If I had stronger hands, perhaps they would stay tight. ****Update 11/29/13*** Still using the trampoline. What's nice is on days when I have a lot of energy, I can do the cardio workout. On other days when I'm not so energetic, I can just bounce on it when watching a TV show, allowing me to go at my own pace. I'll mix up the intensity while bouncing and do my own thing, which adds versatility to this equipment. The legs still get loose after a session of using the trampoline, so I will see if I can get someone with strong hands to tighten them for me. ***Update 02/14/14*** Yup, still using it. However, I'm still having trouble with the legs and find I have to tighten a few of them during my workout...very annoying. I haven't had anyone help me tighten them, but still... ***Update 04/24/14*** Haven't been using this as much, only because I'm lazy. However, I wanted to say wearing Yoga Toeless Socks, 2 Pairs Set, For Yoga and Pilates, by YogaAddict gave me more stability during my workouts. ****Update 03/15/15*** So I admit it, I slacked off from using the rebounder. Two reasons, one having to do with the work; the other having to do with the legs. I found myself having to tighten the legs every 8-10 minutes, which became really frustrating. So much so that I didn't go out of my way to use the trampoline. After revisiting my review of the rebounder, a few nice people suggested I try tightening it with the Allen wrench the trampoline came with. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it (figures), but was able to use a hex key we had in the garage. Anyway, using the hex key, I was able to tighten each leg -- tighter than ever before. Decided to test it out for 10 min and not one leg needed to be tightened! YAY. Side note, having a hex key is so handy! If you don't know what one is, just enter "Hex Key" into the Amazon search field - you will get several hits. I have one that resembles a Swiss Army knife, which contains several sizes. ... show more
