This motherboard supports PCIE-5 and WiFi-7, while having an AM5 socket. I looked at its specs and it seemed to have everything I needed, so I went ahead and bought it. Everything on this motherboard is great, but I would mention a few things. Good: 1. There are 2 PCIE-5 slots for SSDs. One is near the CPU, and the other is under a big white plate on the opposite side of the graphics card lane. 2. All the M.2 slots have cooling pads on them, so your SSDs will run cold like they should. 3. There are 4 RAM slots. This makes it really nice for future-proofing. If you want to buy 32GB (2x16gb) today and maybe upgrade to 64GB later, you can do that without worrying about the original cost of 64gb. 4. The motherboard has 9 screws. This is E-ATX, but there are only 9 screws to install it, so it's fairly simple. 5. So many USBS on the back! You can plug in 8 devices, plus another port down below, and 2 high-power USB ports, making for a total of 11 USB-A ports. There's also another USB-C port on the back. 6. This motherboard supports RGB, and the AORUS logo lights up. 7. There's an internal HDMI port for putting a monitor inside your case. I don't use it, but some of you might. 8. There are 4 SATA connectors on this motherboard. SATA is starting to become obsolete, but I still have a 3 SATA disks from my old PCs that I plugged in because I wanted to keep them. 9. AIO-ready. Just plug the AIO pump into the CPU_FAN connector. 10. Wi-Fi 7. This is the future of Wi-Fi. Although you might not think about it since most companies are advertising Wi-Fi 6, this motherboard is more future-proof than others because it offers Wi-Fi 7. It even comes with a small antenna you can put on top of your case, which contains a really strong magnet to make sure it won't go flying. Bad: - There's only one internal full-size USB 3.0 connector, but my front I/O panel needed 2 of these to connect properly. This leaves my front I/O panel only half-operational, but it still works. - Naming conventions. For some reason, they decided to name the typical PLED and RESET differently. Don't worry, they're all on the left-hand-side of the front I/O panel connector (which is at the bottom right of the motherboard) if you're looking at your motherboard with the processor in the upper left corner. - Integrated graphics does not support DisplayPort. I'm waiting for the RTX 5090 to come out since I plan to be working with LLMs and video editing in the future, so I didn't buy a graphics card in the meantime. However, I noticed there's no way to connect DisplayPort to the integrated graphics on the motherboard, which means that I had to purchase an HDMI cable that can support 240Hz. Not the end of the world, but the HDMI cable was considerably expensive since it needed to be HDMI2.1 and have a high transfer rate. If you have a graphics card (most of you should), then you don't even need to worry about this, since you should be plugging your monitor directly into your graphics card, not the motherboard. Just connect everything like standard ATX, and your new PC will be ready in no time!

The GIGABYTE X670E AORUS PRO X motherboard was packaged well, with all expected components included. The installation process was straightforward, with all components fitting perfectly onto the motherboard. Performance-wise, the motherboard met my expectations. However, I have reservations about manufacturers including WiFi on enthusiast boards. Ethernet provides a more stable connection, and omitting the wireless chips could reduce costs. For a board designed for enthusiasts, it’s safe to assume most users will prefer hard-lined Ethernet. Compatibility was excellent. My Noctua NH-D15 cooler from my older setup fit perfectly on the new motherboard. The BIOS is user-friendly and easy to navigate, although setting up the AMD Expo settings required a bit of research. Aesthetically, the motherboard is pleasing and fits well with the overall look of my build. However, when it comes to value for money, I feel the board is overpriced. While it caters to enthusiasts looking for top-tier components, there are cheaper alternatives that offer similar performance. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase. Gigabyte produces solid components, and I decided to switch from Asus due to their increasing prices and perceived drop in quality. I would recommend the GIGABYTE X670E AORUS PRO X to those looking to go above and beyond in their build, but for those seeking value, there are more cost-effective options available.

Motherboard failed after 1 week of use and there is no leeway for return after the 30 days; even with documentation from the computer technician. This was purchased with other costly items as a birthday gift for my daughter, which is why it was not put together and tested within the 30 days. If you're not building right away, consider looking into a different company to purchase from. When I asked the first person I spoke to for a supervisor, I was told "well it won't matter but here you go." I was not being rude; I worked in customer service for years and I understand it's not their fault. That being said, a level of professionalism is still expected. The supervisor was slightly better to speak to, but still insisted that he could send this up management and it wouldn't matter. After being on the phone with Gigabyte expressing my utter disappointment, I am required to send it in for repair or replacement. They simply do not offer refunds. Even after I told them I do not want their product due to it failing after one week, I was told that after they repaired or replaced it I could resell it if I wanted to "recoup" some of my costs. They also said they normally require the customer to pay for their own label to send it in to them for repair or replacement, but I was graciously given one they paid for. Overall, not a great experience. I'll update this review if needed after the repair / replace process.

I used this motherboard for my first PC build featuring the Ryzen 9 7950x3D & Gigabyte Rtx 4080Super 16GB GPU. The ease of installation was good, it fit all my components including ram, my nzxt kraken aio cooler, and more gadgets. I loved the reinforced PCIE slot for gpu that is right under the NVME.2 slot. That saved my ass when I had to place a thick 4080 into my build. And it was stable enough to prevent too much gpu sag (although I will definitely be vertically mounting it at one point). The only qualm with this and I could put it to my lack of PC building skill probably was getting WiFi on this thing. You have to go on the manufacturer’s website and download the right one. I will update my review and place the link to it when I get the chance. But all in all this is one stunning mobo.

When it comes to this mother board I was amazed. I love how clean the white paint on it looks and when you power it on with their logo name being lit up with rgb makes it even better. This motherboard has a decent amount of usb ports I can plug in everything I need in the rear and still have more slots for my other usbs. The performance on this mother board is better than anything I’ve used before and I def would recommend this brand if you want a solid build. The booting doesn’t take long at all it’s super quick and I’m surprised of how quick it goes. The stability on this motherboard is amazing it doesn’t move a single inch in the case and it doesn’t seem to have any problems when it comes to running anything and holding anything in.

Bought this to replace an MSI X670e MAG Tomahawk Wifi, which is on the other end of the spectrum as the worst AM5 board ever. I didn't even reinstall Windows and all my issues have been solved. I'm not a fan of the white color but I have a large CPU cooler and GPU so I can't see it anyways. I love how toolless the M.2 slots and heatsinks are. They just click in place and it's very satisfying. I am also pleased with the amount of USB ports I have. I don't need a lot of high speed ports but I have a few accessories to plug in and not needing a hub is great. I'm very happy with this purchase, even thought I had to spend another ~$250 to replace my first mistake purchase.

Got this and paired it with the 7800x3d and 32gb of 6000mhz approved Corsair ram. Also, dropped in a 7900 xt. Most people’s issues revolve around not being smart enough to pick ram approved for usage by gigabyte. The list is on the website. They also aren’t familiar or smart enough to update the bios which is the first thing I did, before anything else. Once that was out the way everything else was seamless and the drivers uploaded automatically and downloaded themselves. And boy does it fly. Super durable mobo and has a lot of nice features that weren’t out at the time, like full Pcie 5.0 and WiFi 7. I got version 1.0 which is best Gigbyte version to buy. Their first editions are the best built. I couldn’t find another board at this price point that supported all of that. I bought this board for longevity and with the 9800x3d out of stock and the x870e prices being the way they are it looks like It was a great move. Love this board. Hopefully will use it a long time to come.

9/16/24 Updated review: Had to RMA: Item defective / does not work. Company providing refund: UltraParts Renewed. First attempt to boot: .. Memory, CPU, Cooling, M.2 SSD, Power Switch installed .. Boot failed with GPU error LED; trying to use integrated graphics (one reason I bought this MOBO) .. Had to turn off PSU to shutdown 2nd attempt to boot: .. Installed GPU, and speaker attached to MOBO internal connector .. Boot failed with CPU error LED; no POST information from speaker .. Had to turn off PSU to shutdown Further research: .. People love this MOBO when it works; top rated .. Known problem with BIOS released in Spring 2024 .. Warning found: DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS .. How can you flash a bad BIOS from used MOBO when it locks in the BIOS and won't boot Initial experience. I intend to write an updated product review, once I finish using this MOBO for a new computer build. 9/3/2024: MOBO ordered 9/4/24: Shipped via USPS from Gigabyte headquarters, City Of Industry Ca Distribution Center, US 9/10/24: Delivered via USPS; had to go to post office. UPS or FedEx delivery to my house would have been much preferred. Based on my experience so far: When I went to order this MOBO, they were only available on Amazon in used condition from various resellers; but the price seemed pretty good in comparison to other vendors. I selected the reseller, Gigabyte Store, condition "just like new", hoping that it would be essentially a new MOBO that was returned to Gigabyte. What I DID NOT receive with the MOBO: 1. Any user documentation 3. Driver or utility software Fortunately, I have found the documentation of the following on the Gigabyte website: Users manual, Sensor panel install, RAID setup guide, BIOS setup guide, Unique Features introduction I also found and downloaded software: GIGABYTE Control Center Full Installation Package, BIOS software, Windows 11 drivers I had to very cautiously build the system (lacking any sort of full Installation Guide). Beware of: .. Panels that cover/hide the M.2 SSD slots (for cooling) .. Probable need to install memory before CPU cooling (to avoid blocking memory slots).
