  • These should automatically come with Hall Effect sticks
My niece loves the color and is very happy with her new controller just wished as much as playstation charges for them they should already come with Hall Effect Thunb Sticks.

  • Durable, pretty color, charges great
In a house of 3 rough and tumble boys and an equally as tough husband- this controller is the testament of durability. Through all of it’s rough use with fast button pressing (Resident Evil games, Elden Ring, all fighting games imaginable), to the agonizing rage quits and controller throwing, and also to the questionable use by my 5 year old for Minecraft, Bugsnax and that PS5 robot game, this controller has withstood it all and is still like new. This controller is the true champion and I am still in awe of its durability and functionality after all of this time. Two previous controllers have met the back of the Tv stand’s graveyard with their broken buttons. Not this controller, it is still going. I love the purple color, it stands out in the living room and makes it easier to find when the kids “look” for it. It charges fast when actually left to charge for more than a minute. Honestly, I’m happy it still charges at all after my 5 year old has ripped it off the cord charger so many times like a gremlin. Yet it perseveres and charges like normal. ... show more

  • Dark Nintendo Purple on a PS5 controller?
So I am a huge fan of this new controller. I think dual sense is PlayStation best controller yet. I have always played more Xbox than PlayStation because the shape of the controller and button layout on the Xbox controller is more ergonomic. PlayStation finally reshaped their controller to fit a more natural resting state and then added so wonderful improvements on top of that. The gyro, vibrations and reactive triggers put it in a whole different tier than it’s competitors. Astros playroom is a must play to showcase the dualsense capabilities. Now for the new galactic purple color. This is stunning, purple is my personal favorite color which most people can figure out by my plum crazy Challenger I drive everywhere. The thing about this purple though is it reminds me of a darker Nintendo purple. I was just talking to an old friend about how I miss the Nintendo purple on GameCubes and gameboys then PlayStation came out with this. The black and purple is a great color combo with a good contrast and it’s dark enough that it’s pretty neutral. The only grip I have with the PS5 dualsense is the battery life. I have the Elite 2 controller as my daily driver and my son uses the play and charge kit on his Xbox controller which has at least 5x the battery life compared to the Dualsense. I appreciate that it comes with a rechargeable battery but I wish I had an option to install a better one. It also will not charge on a low watt USB charger like one that is found is some couches instead I either have to plug direct into the PS5 or use a power block/phone charger to charge it. Other than that though it’s just about perfect. ... show more

  • Average PS5 controller in a fun color
It's a fun color. It performs as well as any PS5 controller until the joystick starts to get drift.

  • Controller so pretty it instantly improved my skill
I bought the PlayStation DualSense Wireless Controller in Galactic Purple because I wanted to game better… and while my K/D ratio is still questionable, my setup has never looked this classy. First off, the color is stunning. Pictures do not do it justice. It’s like space, royalty, and gamer confidence all rolled into one controller. I keep catching myself just staring at it instead of playing. Function‑wise, it’s classic DualSense greatness. The haptic feedback makes every explosion feel personal, adaptive triggers fight back like they owe me money, and the grip is comfortable enough for long gaming sessions followed by poor life choices. Battery life is solid, buttons feel responsive, and everything works flawlessly out of the box. Downside? Friends keep trying to “accidentally” swap controllers because mine looks cooler. I now guard it like a prized artifact. If you want a controller that performs great and gives off main‑character energy, Galactic Purple is the move. Would absolutely buy again—unless Sony releases an even cooler color and personally attacks my wallet. 🟣🎮 ... show more

  • It is what it is.
Waited a month or 2 to see how well the controller performed. Controller arrived in a timely fashion, was covered in some weird residue, had to wipe it down with lysol, looked like it was rubbed against dry ear residue. Controller in functioning order upon arrival otherwise, buttons functioned and connection was strong and consistent. After 2 months of play it is already starting to drift in the eight stick. Can't blame the seller for that. ... show more

  • Expensive, but a solid controller overall
There's a part of me that balks at shelling out $60-70 dollars for a controller. I'm old school where I think a system should come with two, but those days are long gone. I bought this to hook up to my Steam Deck. I had a PS5 controller that I used to make sure it worked, but it's a pain to have to keep pairing it with a different device each time, so I got a dedicated controller. The quality is good on these. You can use them for a long time before needing to replace them. I knew what I was getting and this model didn't deviate from that at all. It was easy to connect and works just how I was hoping it would. If I'm going to fork over that kind of cash then I'd like to know that the product is a quality product, and in the case of the official PS5 controllers, it always is. ... show more
