This little gem is the answer to a prayer for me! I moved into my small cottage a year ago and discovered no ice maker!! Needless to say I hadn't used ice trays since the 80's but now I was forced to either buy bagged ice or return to the torture of filling trays, trying not to spill them and then the endless chore of make sure I kept them up so I always had ice....what a chore! So I saw this and thought why not! I can return it if it doesn't deliver! WELL LET ME TELL YOU!!!! It's delivering like I never expected!!!! It's so easy to use!! Nothing to do but an initial cleaning from shipping, plugged it in-filled the tank and POW ice in the first 20 minutes...now every 15 minutes or so I hear it dropping new ice cubes!!! I have been emptying the tray into my freezer bin in the freezer and in 24 hours it's over capacity!!! I am thrilled !!! I would recommend this to ANYONE who first wants ice on demand, second likes smaller cubes of ice and third who ever has to grab a bag of ice for parties!! NOW I will bag my own!!! in 24 hours 26lbs!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

The media could not be loaded. An interesting device for sure. Larger and heavier than I expected (picture showing it next to my water boiler). The plastic handle that they include attaches easily and quickly but it's much flimsier than I'd expect for something this heavy - i wouldn't trust it, especially with water in it. It worked pretty quickly, making about 10 ice cubes every 8-10 minutes on average. That said, it seems... overcomplicated. I bought it because I live in an apartment with a tiny freezer and no ice maker, but I'm struggling to see the value of this over an ice tray. Maybe for really large parties where you'll be using a lot of ice? Even so, the pace of ice making for something like that would be too slow. The practicality of it is a little odd for me too - if I just want to have some ice, I guess once it's done making the ice, I should turnit off and leave the tray in the freezer? The instructions said to rinse/wash it before use, and that too was a little cumbersome, given the weight/size. There's no way to detach the power cord before washing, so you just need to be careful there. Overall, 5/5 stars for me. I was going to give it 4/5, mainly because I'm not sure how to best utilize it/how much utility it has over an ice tray, but 5/5 as it does as described and does it quickly and well. What pushed it over for me was that the ice tastes normal. Sometimes ice, especially from a fridge ice maker, has a weird refrigerant taste to it. Not here. A clever machine, though larger and bulkier than I'd like. I can see it being used at parties, an interesting conversation piece while it makes ice for guests.

The ice maker has a modern look that fits the kitchen very well. The size is combat so so it is perfect to put on the countertop. It is very easy to use. Just adding water and press the button. It would start running. It makes ice very fast. Only like 10 mins, the machine starts to have ice coming out. The operation is very quiet as well. I also like that the bottom part has a vale to let go the water. So it is very easy to clean. This is a great item for home or for party.

This is up and running with ice in 8 minutes, well it gives some ice in 8 minutes. To get enough ice for a full glass took probably 30 minutes because it had to go through a few cycles but still pretty fast. Once it is running regularly it keeps the ice continuously and the ice is really good (it is large enough that it doesn't melt too fast but it is also "soft" ice that you can chew on it if you like to do that--it's not as hard as the ice from my freezer). This works wonderful when I have extra guests and my freezer icemaker just doesn't cut it.

I’m impressed with this little ice maker, but I don’t think it’s for everyone or every situation. The way it produces ice is fascinating. There is a reservoir below the ice basket that it draws water from. When turned on, it actively produces ice from the reservoir with metal pieces that rapidly freeze the ice. It then falls onto a tray that flips it over into the bin. The speed of ice production is impressive and could be very useful for a dorm room or a party that is paced for slow, steady, ice use. This ice maker is not a good fit for constant use because it doesn’t have a freezer element to keep the ice long-term. Instead, it constantly produces ice and reuses the water when it melts back into the bin. That also means the ice gets a bit melty at the bottom if it isn’t used soon after it is made. But, for a party or use in a dorm room as needed, those issues wouldn’t apply. Overall, I think it’s a very cool product for the right situations.
