Description

One of the finest techniques to come out of the art Nouveau movement, the Tiffany-style stained glass shade on this torchiere floor lamp makes for a stunning addition to any space. While steeped in traditional design with it's barley-twist base and romantic baroque motif on the shade, this piece is updated with the functionality expected today -- a step-on on/off button, LED bulb compatibility, and a beautiful silk-wrapped cord. Each shade is hand-made by artisans who specialize in the intricate art of stained glass soldering.

This is a very well made lamp. Was very easy to assemble. Just be prepared to have bits of Styrofoam everywhere from the packing, but it was extremely well packaged. The Styrofoam is in large pieces but it breaks into tiny pieces very easily. Was worried about breakage but that looked highly unlikely due to how well it was packaged. Nice heavy decorative base. I have a 500 sq foot living room with 16 foot ceiling so I need a 200 watt equivalent LED bulb to light the room adequately. If you use that bright a bulb in a white frosted shade it will blind you. This works perfect as the colored glass dims the brightness of the bulb thru the sides & provides a nice warm bright light that provides adequate light throughout the large room. ... show more

It’s just absolutely stunning and although some reviewers say it’s plastic, it feels and looks like glass to me. Both the lampshade and the base are very heavy. This is an absolutely beautiful piece and I hope it lasts forever because I’m totally in love with it.

Always I have been fond of Stained glass articles, I have been waiting to buy this one for a very long time, when I needed a Floor Lamp I jumped into buying this one, very very easy to assemble it comes preassembled but it's very heavy so please be careful when lifting this one, very ornate base, and the light vase is very very beautiful I keep looking at it, and when lighted it gives a soft light but enough to cover the whole room, and the on/off switch is in the base which is good so one can operate it by foot, I am very, very happy with my purchase ... show more
