Amazing set! Just beware that Hotwheels Monster trucks do not work with this set. Never fear - Monster Jam has way better trucks and track sets anyway! We’ve had a ton of fun with this set and it works great - better with lighter trucks. But even some of the heavier metal ones seem to run and jump OK. Trucks jump over each other and then onto the platform. Super fun, even for adults :-) Need AA and D batteries. Doesn’t seem to eat batteries as others have suggested.     • Fixed common issue with batteries/motor

I read multiple reviews here and at Target saying the motor assembly didn't work at all, or intermittently. I had the same issue. After taking everything apart and studying how the wires all fit together, I realized the gray motor hub was not fully snapped into the blue battery base (though it sure looked like it was). And so the two little white wire terminals inside those two pieces that connect the batteries to the motor hub were not a tight fit. Maybe double check this if yours isn't working. I bought these for my 3 year old son. He was so excited to open the box they came in and immediately started playing with them. They are durable and truly look like the real Monster Jam trucks. They fit easily in his little hand and roll around nicely.

I'm a 62 year old grandmother and I put it together for my gransons. I had a lot of fun putting it together. The click sound when pieces fit made me happy. My gransons are enjoying very much. It's pretty sturdy. A good buy.

    • Finally got it to work!

My 3 year old grandson loves this monster track once we got it to work. We inserted 4D batteries into the launcher. Nothing happened. I read the instructions that came with the track, but there wasn’t any information on what to do if it doesn’t work. I went to the store and bought new batteries and a battery tester. I installed the new batteries. Nothing happened. All batteries tested good. We were in the process of contacting the company when my son-in-law snapped the track more securely into the launcher and it started working. It would have been nice to have had better instructions. I noticed that there are some reviews about the motor not working. I wonder if they had the same problem that we had, that something needed to be snapped in better to make contact. I gave it 4 stars because of the poor instructions, but the track is really awesome if the launcher works. I love how it jumps from one track to the other. I’m not sure if the launcher will work with other monster trucks. It worked great with the 2 that came with it, but we tried a different monster truck and it wouldn’t launch. ... show more
