Little but loud!
Color: Black Style: Speaker
I purchased this because, the little portable speaker I had, literally sounded like it was sitting inside of a cardboard box - it just sounded very muffled or covered. Then, recently, I was sitting in a nail salon that had nice, loud, music going. After being there a while, I noticed a little JBL speaker. To my surprise, THAT’S where the music was coming from!! I had heard good things about JBL in the past too but still, I couldn’t justify the cost, so I decided to go with this mini one. So far, the times I’ve used this speaker and been pleased with its performance, consist of : In a small shop/store where I wanted to have music playing for myself and my customers. I needed it to have a sound surround effect and not sound like it was coming from a little cardboard box. I was happy with the results. Also, I’ve used it in a large noisy warehouse. I didn’t need the sound to travel too far through the warehouse that day, but still, no complaints there. A few of the guys have stopped to check it out, impressed by its sound. I’ve also used it a lot at home, and that works really well too. I don’t get the volume up to even half and yet, at times, loud enough that I have to turn it down to have a conversation! In the shower. I use this speaker when I’m showering. I’m so thankful to be done with the garbage “shower speaker” that I was using! I try not to get this wet, even though it says “waterproof” but so far so good! Times I’ve used the speaker and been unimpressed and/or things I don’t like about it : Mostly none. It definitely doesn’t hold the same weight as a bigger JBL. By that I mean, I don’t think it can carry the sound through a 900+ sq ft super noisy establishment, as if there are speakers in every corner - but I’m sure most aren’t going for that anyways! I sort of want to complain that I have to charge it too often but then I remember I’ve been using it for 12+ hours straight, without it being plugged in. 😬 I think it’s just that, I’m charging it at the start of the work day, then the end, and not taking into consideration the fact that the work day consisted of 14 hours of non stop music playing. If that makes sense. Also, it’s super tiny and slick. Easy to throw in my purse, a backpack, set on a shelf, etc. TLDR: 10/10 - I recommend this speaker to anyone!!!! If you’ve read through this whole review, you obviously want a speaker pretty bad, and I’d almost be willing to guarantee that you will not regret purchasing this one!!!! ... show more

Great sound for a small speaker.
Color: Blue Style: Speaker
purchased this years ago. still works great except that it doesn't keep the charge as long as it used to but after years of use, I would not expect that. Sound is so good for such a small product. Totally would purchase again.

Use your AUX cord, or pair with Bluetooth devices easily
Color: Black Style: Speaker
Review Image by Michael Lydick
The JBL GO2 really impressed me. For such a tiny speaker, the sound is clear and surprisingly full, with more bass than I expected. It’s small enough to toss in a bag, totally waterproof, and perfect for the pool, garage, or travel. Bluetooth connects instantly, the battery lasts a full day of casual listening, and it feels solidly built. It’s not meant to fill a big party with sound, but for personal use or hanging out with a few friends, it’s perfect. I use it mostly as an external speaker for my small QRP radios during Ham Radio activities. Pros...Clear sound, waterproof, very portable Cons...Not super loud for large spaces Overall, a great little speaker that’s way better than its size suggests. ... show more

Great little speaker!
Color: Black Style: Speaker
I got this JBL Go2 in order to have better and louder sound on the go than what my phone's built in speaker provides. I was very surprised at how well it performs despite it's very small size. The sound is full and clear, even at maximum volume, where most speakers this size would have poor distorted sound at these higher volumes. Of course this little speaker was lacking in the bass, which is to be expected from a speaker this small. But the sound was very good, full and rich, and with adequate bass and range for a speaker this size. Much better than any other speaker I've heard of similar size. The battery lasts for a longer time than I expected as well, we got over 4 hours of play time from a full charge. The specs say up to 5 hours, but 4 hours was surprising because we had it at very high volume the entire time. The only minor complaint I have is that the charger connector is micro USB, would have preferred the now standard USB C. The newer version of this, the Go4 charges via USB C. Overall I would highly recommend this Go2 if you are looking for a very small pocket sized Bluetooth speaker for your phone, tablet, or laptop. Nothing else in this size and price range can touch it! ... show more

Compact Powerhouse with Impressive Sound
The JBL GO2 Waterproof Ultra Portable Bluetooth Speaker in Red has been a game-changer for me when it comes to portable music. With its compact size, impressive sound quality, and waterproof feature, this speaker has become my go-to companion for outdoor adventures. First and foremost, the battery life on this little powerhouse is outstanding. It offers up to 6 hours of continuous playtime, which is more than enough for a day at the beach or a hiking trip. I appreciate the convenience of not having to constantly recharge it. Considering its small size, the JBL GO2 delivers surprisingly rich and clear sound. The audio quality is excellent, with a good balance of bass and treble. Whether I'm enjoying my favorite tunes or using it for hands-free calls, the speaker never fails to impress. It easily fills a small room or outdoor space with immersive sound. One minor improvement I would suggest is the addition of a clip. While the compact design is great for portability, having a clip would make it even more versatile for attaching to bags or backpacks during outdoor activities. However, this is a minor drawback that doesn't overshadow the overall functionality and performance of the speaker. The waterproof feature is a huge plus, as it gives me peace of mind when using the speaker near water or in unpredictable weather conditions. It has held up well during beach trips, poolside gatherings, and even survived a few accidental splashes without any issues. The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless and hassle-free, allowing for easy pairing with my devices. The speaker also has a built-in microphone, which comes in handy for hands-free calling. In summary, the JBL GO2 Waterproof Ultra Portable Bluetooth Speaker in Red has exceeded my expectations in terms of its compact size, battery life, and sound quality. Its waterproof design adds an extra layer of durability, making it perfect for outdoor use. While a clip would be a nice addition, it doesn't detract from the overall excellence of this speaker. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a portable speaker that delivers impressive sound at an affordable price. ... show more

3.5 mm input jack makes it a winner over newer models
Color: Blue Style: Speaker
I have a LG V60 cell phone with a QUAD DAC amplifier that only works with 3.5 mm port. Having the option to use the 3.5 mm for audio is the main reason I got the JBL GO2 and not the newer versions which don't have the 3.5 mm port. I like that you can still use the JBL while it's charging too. A big plus when we were on the deck for hours++ listening to music , podcast and watching videos on the laptop on the deck. Great little speaker for the price. The 3.5 mm jack was the selling point for me because I can't take advantage of the QUAD DAC amplifier on my phone through bluetooth it needs to be through the wired 3.5 mm jack. Bluetooth works very good as well with this speaker. When watching youtube videos the audio is synced up to match the lips of the person/s talking. Overall a very well built little speaker and can handle max volume without sounding muddy or harsh abrasive sandpaper sound. Using the QUAD DAC on my phone through a 3.5 mm male to male cable is a pretty substantial sound difference in volume and quality since it takes advantage of the LG V60s (cell phone) built in QUAD DAC amplifier. Bluetooth as well sounds very good through this speaker. The 3.5 mm was the selling point for me over the newer models. Why they removed the 3.5 mm on newer models is a surprise to me. I imagine if I had the right cables and a stereo splitter I could get two JBL GO2 speakers and use them in true stereo mode utilizing the 3.5 mm jack. Having that option and bluetooth is a huge bonus for me. Also on the rare occasions blue tooth may be finicky you can always turn off blue-tooth on your device , say your laptop and just plug in the JBL GO2 to your Laptops 3.5 mm audio port and get direct sound that way with no lag guaranteed. I will say the bluetooth though on the JBL GO2 is pretty flawless with no noticeable lag. Overall a very good little speaker that puts out a respectable amount of sound. ... show more

🧰🧰🧰 SHoWeR CoNCeRTS & PoDCaST PaRTieS? YeS, PLeaSe! 🧰🧰🧰
I bought this speaker specifically for my showers — and now, I don’t shower without it. It’s small but MIGHTY. The sound is surprisingly loud and crisp for such a compact speaker. Whether I’m blasting music or catching up on my favorite podcast episodes, it fills the bathroom with rich sound and keeps me totally entertained while I’m scrubbing down. I love that it’s waterproof so it’s perfect if I get a little soap and water on it while turning it up or down. I know that I don’t have to worry about spalshing ruining it, which is exactly what I need in a speaker that lives in my bathroom. Bonus points for how easy it is to pair with my phone and how portable it is. I’ve even taken it to the backyard while gardening. And whenever I go on vacation, this thing goes with me! If you like your showers with a soundtrack or need a little voice of company while you get showered, this speaker is essential—a clean body, happy ears, good vibes—like, what more could you ask for? ... show more
