We can't believe how much something like a clock could be such an enjoyable thing to have! We love the illumination, the date, day of the week, and morning or evening feature, which a regular clock doesn't have. We have one in our living area, and one in the bedroom. It's so easy to read and so convenient to have. I am now giving them as gifts to people who have seen ours and said they wished they had one, too. I have been taking care of one of my mothers friends whose husband passed away and she has brain damage and seizures – she does not want to go into assisted-living. She wants to stay in her own home. She has a small appointment book that she just loves -so I have her write all her chores and doctor appointments in the book so that she will know what we are going to do the next day. The problem I was facing is, she doesn’t know what day it is so this clock really helps her out a lot and the big bold letters are perfect and now she also knows what year it is now. The clock is great; very easy to read. My mom has low vision and can read it easily. We bought a different but similar product; this JALL digital clock from the Charger Home store is far superior. The clock and calendar are very visible for people with low vision. I also appreciate the auto night dimming feature. But the best feature of this clock are the people who stand behind their product. We bought this clock as a gift for a relative in a personal care home. We tried it out at home to see if we would need to set the time and realized the time resets from the atomic clock automatically. No having to worry about the clock having to be reset after a power failure. That’s really an advantage when someone with dementia or movement problems would have to rely on someone else to reset the clock. We used the clock for a week to make sure it worked properly and it worked perfectly. The gift was well received and solved a big problem. She never knew what day of the week it was since all days seem to fall together when in a nursing home. She also keeps her curtains drawn so she doesn’t know whether it’s day or night. This is perfect for dementia/Alzheimer patients. Even just those in long-term care facilities. Our mother is bed bound so doesn’t leave her room much and it is easy to lose track of time. Prior to this clock/calendar, she would ask what day of the week it was. This is perfect for so many.
