This adapter works just fine. It’s heavier than I thought it would be. I guess that’s a good thing hopefully meaning there are stable sturdy materials inside. The only negation it the locking latch on the CCS side that locks to your car is plastic and could easily break if you dropped the unit. Other than that I love being able to use the Tesla network. I typically use public chargers at night and some Tesla chargers I can charge at 18 cents a kWh after 11 pm.

Saved me a lot of money! I have had a Level 2 charging station at my house for 10 years, but this was my first Tesla so this was a great solution without having to purchase a new charging station. Had it almost a year now and still works flawlessly. I use it every day. Peace of mind to know you can use any charging station you like while on the road. I leave the one that came with the car in my trunk so having is great. A must have accessory.

I ordered this because I had forgotten that my 2 y.o. Tesla 3 CAME WITH ONE OF THESE. Would have been nice to have in Grand Canyon National Park lodges where they have many J1772 chargers in the parking lots. Very convenient if you have the adapter. The Tesla Supercharger station is outside the park gates.

This is exactly the same thing as the adapter that came with my car. My car will be 3 years old and I mainly charge at work, the adapter is not locking and makes it impossible to charge with anything but the direct Tesla charger. I bought this on a hope and a prayer. Quick shipping, I received it next day (thank goodness) and sure enough I was on my last 40miles and IT WORKED! Wow what a story lol thank you for making such a good reliable product, what a life saver!

I found the adapter to charge much slower than I expected, especially in urgent situations, and significantly slower than Tesla's own charging equipment. I encountered this problem during a long trip when I needed to charge urgently but wasted a lot of time and ended up having to rely on other charging stations. Although the adapter itself is of good quality, I was very disappointed with its low charging efficiency.

This connector is meant to connect a standard level 1 or 2 charger to your Tesla which has a unique port. I recently took delivery of a model 3 and wanted to make sure my standard charger would be able to fit. Upon delivery in my car I noticed that it came with an adapter already. I didn't need this one but I leave it in the car just in case I travel somewhere where I may need it. Please note that this connector is not for level 3 or 4 chargers, IE. Quick chargers that you have on the road when you travel. Those are high capacity chargers that will burn the connector out and I'm not even sure they fit. They are only for 110 volt or 240 volt home chargers or the level one or two chargers you run into at the mall or at work.
