Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
Absolutely love this trash can. Had one similar that I bought at Walmart and I had it for about 10 years. Bought this newer one and put the old one in the garage and filled it with potting soil, nice storage. This is worth the money. Attractive decorative and functional.

    • Best trash can ever
Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
Having this dutiful dynamo tucked in under the counter has changed my attitude about TRASH. I don’t see the trash, I don’t smell the trash, I just make the trash. This can is like the staff on downton Abby - it quietly takes the trash from me and spirits it away so I don’t have to deal with it any more. Set up was a breeze batteries last and last and last. The door retracts and extends dependably while looking sleek and inconspicuous. I’m livin’ La vida Can-a baby. You should too - the increment luxury factor is so worth it. Now let me tell you the can is not hefty or made of heavyweight materials. Really felt kinda cheap-o when I inboxed it. However since it just sits there waiting for me to trash it, I don’t even notice so I count that as minor annoyance. Must advise you if you have a large, wiseacre dog like I do, the can may be too much of a temptation to play with using their nose to activate motion sensor and open it repeatedly as means to drive you to the brink of madness. When this happens at my house I deploy the advantage of opposable thumbs thwart naughty dog tricks with a flick of the master switch on the rear of the unit. How do you like me now mr show off with your nose dog? Deal with it! ... show more

    • Nice for touchless use
Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
We had just moved into our new home when we purchased this trash can. It has been over four years since we began using it and it has not failed us. The only problem we have is that in recent times, the opening would stay open and that is not good especially when there is garbage inside. Nonetheless, we would recommend it others. ... show more

    • fantastic trashcan
Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
Review Image by Bryan Peters
This is a great trash can. I love the slide open top instead of the lift open top. The fact you can use an AC adapter mean I do not have to replace batteries. That being said I had purchased one at the beginning of may and the d cells are still going . The size and shape works really well so that I can put two on the space I have for it. I did purchase a second trash can as I wanted to separate my recyclables. Both trash cans fit in the space nicely. It does have a drawback. The plastic bag retaining ring is rather weak and can break somewhat easily. The first trash can I bough had the bag retainer ring break but I was able to fix it with some duck tape. They definitely keep in the odors and the included filter helps with that also. They are a little tall for a 13 gal bag, but if you use the foam packing and fill in the bottom it fixes that. All and all I good trashcan ... show more

    • Very disapointed
Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
I received the itouchess automatic black nx/sx model trashcan. I really liked the color and design. It worked fine with batteries for two days. It does make a noise as some reviews indicated but I could live with it even if my dog couldn't. I read the reviews but ignored the negative ones and ordered this trash can anyway. On the third day, it would not open except manually. I waited for the adapter thinking it would now work touchless but it will not. It slides back and then will not close. You have to manually work with the lid until you can get it closed. I am not going to return it, will just use it manually for a while until time to get a new trashcan. Very disapointed with this product, really wanted it to work. ... show more

    • Jury Still Out! Iffy Sliding Tops!
Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
The jury is still out on this one! This trashcan is beautiful in both the stainless steel and the black, but the tops, which slide back and forth, need work. I am not certain they will go the distance. One trashcan arrived with one of the pleats (part of the trashcan top) broken off and rattling around in the box. The top seems to be delicate, to say the least. Another trashcan was replaced because the top just stopped working in under three weeks. It had new batteries but wouldn't slide back and forth any more. Using an AC adapter wouldn't help. The tops are ultra noisy when sliding. A lady visited us the other day, went in the bathroom and the top noisily started opening. The poor woman grabbed that big black purse, flung open the bathroom door, and flew out like Gail Devers, screaming at the top of her voice! If only they had sturdier tops! I fear, any time I hear the tops moving, that might be the last movement. They just don't operate smoothly. I think iTouchless truly, truly needs to work on the tops of these trashcans. Also, iTouchless NEEDS TO STOP GLUING THOSE BIG NAME TAGS ON THE BINS. They are ultra difficult to remove. No one is buying the trashcans to visually advertise for iTouchless, not with the tags, at least! The trashcans are ultra nice-looking, but I am definitely not sure these trashcan tops will operate for a year, nine months, or six months. iTouchless Fully Automatic Stainless Steel Touchless Trashcan SX, 13 Gallon (52 Liter)iTouchless Fully Automatic Black Color Touchless Trashcan SX, 13 Gallon (52 Liter) ... show more

    • Loved it....for 2 months
Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
EDIT: Itouchless customer service was very helpful and sent me a brand new, fully-functioning lid. I am very happy with this product and would highly recommend. This trash can was awesome for about 2months...but all of a sudden the lid would open, but wouldn't close again. We tried troubleshooting multiple times (taking batteries out, leaving in dry place for 24hr, putting new batteries in), but it still didn't work. We then opened up the lid and saw that the wires connected to piece that tells the lid it's closed have burnt and are no longer functioning. This is very upsetting as this is not a cheap trashcan and it's no longer functioning after 2 months of use. ... show more

    • Great kitchen trash can..I love this thing!!
Color: Silver, Sensor Jet Black 14 Gal
Ok gotta say I love this thing. The lid slides back into the top with a wave of the hand. When your hands are full of trash, just to wave over it is great. This newer model (I had the original one which finally died) has a clip on odor absorber under the lid. Nice addition. Regular tall trash bags fit nicely. I did not buy the plug in charger, just using D batteries which is fine. NOTE: DO NOT attempt to wash the lid! (as in, don't stick it in your sink and use the sprayer). If the electronics inside get wet you blow the whole thing and it stops working permanently. Not entirely sure but water may have gotten in my old one. So just wipe it off if you get something on it. If you do damage it, you can buy just a replacement lid from the iTouchless website, but to purchase the whole trash can, the price was better here on Amazon. ... show more
