Using the device couldn’t be easier, simply connect the integrated cable to any computer and enter a unique 7-15-digit PIN. This barrier prevents a potential hacker from accessing the critical components and launching a variety of futile attacks. Brute Force Hack Defence Mechanism After 15 consecutive incorrect PIN entries, the drive assumes it is being attacked and will delete the encryption key and lock itself, rendering all data previously stored on the drive as lost forever. At this point the drive can be reset to factory default settings and redeployed. I done a lot of research and decided to buy this product. I am beyond happy with my purchase and I now have the peace of mind that if I happened to misplace my drive or it was stolen, nobody would be able to gain access to my data without having my password. My only gripe is the material. My storage unit gets beat around a little, nothing crazy, and it's already sustained cuts and divots in the face. I wish the material was stronger or of a different material. I've only used this unit for a couple weeks and it's already pretty scratched up.

    • Poor performance, times out unexpectedly

I'm finding the transfer rates very slow, less than 40mb/sec and the drive will shut down without active interaction after a short period even when conducting a transfer

Everything as advertised except the drive is very, very, very slow in data transfer. I haven't owned it long enough to comment on durability, but I run a gaming laptop with high end capabilities and this was like 1995 webpages loading.
