The media could not be loaded. Very quiet. So we like it. Keeps the water circulating, so our cat likes it. This is the second one we’ve had. The first one died due to our own fault. It worked great; this replacement works great. I clean it once a week, and it only takes a couple of minutes to rinse out one of the filters and clean the tank and drinking dish. I bought this pet water fountain because it was compact and had a light and side window to see how low the water level is. When I received it I read the instructions and set the fountain up and the light on the pump was not working. I contacted the company and they were kind and very open to trying to solve the problem. They had no pumps in stock and had to restock and kept me informed of when I would receive the replacement pump. THIS is how a great company works. Good water fountain that does the job (semi quietly) and holds enough for about a week with 1 cat. The whole thing is plastic, so you really have to be careful taking it apart. I use filtered water, but still have the filters in there (which are actually really cheap). Pretty easy to clean as well. My only complaints are that the LED light is SUPER dim and it makes a constant bubbling sound that may take some getting used to. Like you can’t really even see the water level even in darkness, basically at all during the day unless you get real close. For the bubbling, I shoved one of those straw cleaner brushes into the top, which helps quiet the thing down and disperse the water more evenly (so it doesn’t make much noise). It doesn’t limit the flow enough to cause issues and is a cheap, simple solution if you tend to fixate on annoying sounds. All in all, a good cheap water fountain with affordable filter replacements. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Cat accepted it, not as big as previous fountains, had to refill more than prefer. This is the third fountain I've had in 5 yrs. Motors don't last very long running 24/7. Not especially quiet, it could be heard from other rooms. Bought in Feb 2022 and it was functioning fine up until one week ago. I clean the fountain every 7-10 days and never had an issue unless the water level was too low and put stress on the motor. I usually dump out the old water and replace every two or three days. Four days ago, I noticed the pump making a noise indicating low water levels and found it strange because I had refilled it earlier that day. Three days ago, same thing- low water levels and the mat it sat on was soaked. I've always had the fountain on carpet and the area was also soaked through. I moved the fountain to the bathroom and placed a cloth to see what happened. Soaked. I couldn't find any leaks or cracks. After some time, I saw the fountain was bubbling more than usual and spilling over the sides. Been laying new clothes every day/night until the different fountain I ordered arrives. ... show more

My cats are 12 years old and super picky about their water. They’ve both increased their water intake since we got this two months ago. I thought we were losing water pressure & that we might need a replacement pump, but no, operator error - Just needed to replace the black spongey bit in the actual motor which was super easy to do. We change the filters out more often than it says, but it’s two cats and they go through *a lot* of water. Some reviews have said it’s loud, but honestly it’s no louder (read quieter) than a small fish tank with a similar motor function… and I find the sound relaxing. Anyway - definitely worth the money, super easy to clean, and my cats have both been enjoying it! ... show more

So I purchased this in July and apparently got one of the good ones in terms of quality control as it is still working. Pros- it’s quiet unless you let the water drop below half full, non skid feet keep it in place, it holds a good amount of water, overall simple assembly, and kitty is not put off by the burbling water flow. Cons-No where in the boxed directions does it discuss or even hint at pump disassembly for maintenance-for that you have to re refer to the item description online. You will need brushes for small bottle or reusable straws in order to clean the nooks and crannies of this pump. Separating the outer housing to get at the sponge filter and impeller is just plain hard because the item is small. The filters are meh. I have hard water and the lime scale has etched the polycarbonate material heavily and it seems to be becoming more brittle making me wonder if I will develop a leak. Good thing my fuzzy girl seems to like it. Addendum: The seller reached out to me because of my review. He was extremely courteous and a pleasure to interact with and I want to say “Thank You”! Even though I’m a “meh” on the item others may be more impressed……and yes it’s still going strong after 8 months. ... show more

Loved it at first. Bought 2 of them. Don't think the lights ever came on, but I wasn't worried about that. Noticed I had to keep filling up one of them more often than I thought I should. After a few times I realized the carpet was soaked. Put it on the hardwood and sure enough, it was leaking. Can't for the life of me find from where. Just sort of put it aside and forgot to request a return. Yesterday I went to change my daughter's because she gone this week. Her carpet is soaked as well. I asked her about it and she said it's been doing that for a while. Ugh! So neither of them are any good and I missed the return window by 5 days! ... show more
