Fantastic replacement for my full electric Invacare bed. I order one every year for my bed because I beat mine up. Mine came directly from Invacare when I ordered it from Amazon. My husband’s daughter is bedbound. Lifelong spastic cerebral palsy from a very premature birth 53 yrs ago. This bed control is her lifeline. She is able to change he position as needed. This is the 3rd replacement we have gotten for her. Not that they are poorly constructed. No. It is a “closed system” but.. she has to eat a d drink in bed and they just don’t last forever but we are ALWAYS glad to replace it for her and so very glad that they remain available to order from Amazon. A MUST HAVE for her.

I thank God I found this item!!! I searched high and low for the Drive remote and could not find it. Then found out from Drive Medical Supplies they were on back order. I was in need of this remote TODAY NOT TOMORROW!!! I even called the company we got the bed from. No help there but ready to charge me a fee to come out on Monday. Here it is Friday and I need it NOW!!! I decided to check Amazon and that was the best decision I made. I took a chance on an item that looked like it was compatible made by INVACARE!!! YES THE INVACARE REMOTE SAVED MY LIFE!!! I even replaced it myself. You will need a flathead screwdriver. My Mother who is in her 90's was stuck and I was stuck and I needed help in the worst way, today not tomorrow. I ordered the INVACARE remote from Amazon and it was delivered the same day!!!! Ir is working GREAT!!! I thank God I did!!!! If you are facing the same issue then just step out on faith and give it a try. Sorry for the long post. Whew I am so happy I did.

Around Christmas I THOUGHT I’d need to buy a NEW hospital bed, as the mechanism to lower my legs wouldn’t work. Then I remembered ordering a new remote for my lift chair a few months before and thought maybe that’s ALL I NEED!! Sure enough I ordered this new remote and my neighbor hooked it upon s FEW SECONDS and my bed works like new!! The leg rest up button works a little “funky” that I have to hit it at JUST THE RIGHT SPOT, but it STILL does the job(that’s reason 4* instead of 5* rating)!! So glad it was just the remote and not the WHOLE BED that needed replacing!!💕💕

It fits the IVC models. I got the model number of the Invacare hospital bed off the plate on the bedframe, then found the owner's manual online. I highly recommend reading the owner's manual to get an idea of what to expect when removing the cable lock to replace the pendant. The item is exactly what we needed and we received it quickly which helped me have peace of mind getting it fixed. For reference, the number on the bed we have is 5490IVC.

The old bed control, continuously used for seven years, failed on a Sunday morning. I immediately ordered a replacement online. Out of the millions of items that Amazon ships daily, the replacement arrived on my doorstep before nine o'clock that Sunday evening. THAT's service!

The controller stopped working on my sisters bed and we weren't sure how to find a replacement. I was a bit surprised to find the controller on Amazon. Ordered and it arrived the next day. It's the exact replacement. Note that the serial number can be found at the base of the cord where it plugs into the bed. Undoing the clip that holding all the cords is a little tricky, but use the small flat screwdrive to push the clip back on the controller (green) side (I used a swiss army knife). Pull the holder back, remove the old cord, plug in the new (it only goes in one way) and reset the holder. It should work immediately.
