We’re extremely happy with this pool so far. The overall quality of everything included is much better than I expected. The stairs especially are very well made and feel sturdy, and the liner feels thick, heavy, and durable — definitely not flimsy. For us, the ground prep took longer than the actual pool assembly. My 70-year-old dad and I kept it pretty simple: we used a large 2x4 and a level, removed the grass, and took our time getting the area as flat & level as possible. The included ground cover worked perfectly once we had the space prepped. The actual pool assembly was surprisingly easy. With three people helping, we had it put together in about an hour and a half. This was our first time setting up an above ground pool, so I was worried it was going to be complicated, but having all the accessories packaged together made a huge difference. The included instructions were very helpful, and there are also a lot of good YouTube videos that walk through the setup step by step, which made the whole process even easier. We also added a separate pool heater for colder mornings, and that was easy to set up as well. The water comes out of the filter, goes into the heater, and then back into the pool. No issues there at all, and we can get it up to 86 degrees! One of our favorite parts is the saltwater system. It feels so much better than traditional chlorine — better on skin and hair, and without that strong chlorine smell. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and the pool was actually delivered two days earlier than the original estimate. The delivery team was also beyond helpful. They were clearly used to handling larger items, which was another pleasant surprise. Overall, no issues at all. Great quality, easier setup than expected, and we’re so happy to have our own pool.

Please do not buy this!!!!! This has been the worst headache of my life. Also, I am a real person who purchased this pool. THIS IS A REAL REVIEW! I had been watching this pool for a while because I really loved the idea of it. It came down in price around prime days so I decided to jump on it despite the NUMEROUS bad reviews. So the shipping was quick, it came in 2 days from ordering. It was delivered by a semi and on a pallet due to the size. It sat (covered and protected) about 28 days before we were able to set it up due to still needing to get the ground work completed. We paid to have an area of our yard professionally leveled for this. Setting up wasn’t horrible. It took awhile but wasn’t the worst thing in the world. We started to fill with water and I watched closely since all the reviews about leaky liners. We had ran the water about 2-3 hours or so and I noticed there was a scant amount of water from under the pool between the ground cloth and liner. My husband thought maybe coming from condensation or something since it was such a small amount. I reluctantly agreed, dried the area and we decided to keep filling for the night. 5am the next morning I went out to check and sure enough, more water in the same location but now starting to puddle. I turned the water off and went to work. At this point, I was already out of my 30 days return window by 1 day. So I contacted Intex. Their customer service is not great and they gave me the run around before finally shipping me a new liner. Asked if I had tried patching the leak…No.. I haven’t, because I shouldn’t have to patch a liner of this price straight out of the box & the leak is coming from the seam underneath the pool so I can’t tell where to patch it anyhow. No apologies or compassion on their end, even though at this point I feel like I have wasted thousands of my hard earned money on this pool and everything that goes into preparing it. So anyway, old liner was drained of $200+ in water and new liner was set up. Let the water run about 2 hours until all of the ground/lower wall seams were covered. Once again, ANOTHER leak. This time we could see it was slowly dripping from one of the leg seams. Pin hole. I am completely beside myself. I feel so horrible for my children who were so excited for a pool in their back yard. So, it is now the end of the season/summer, kids will be returning to school soon, weather will be turning cold, and we have a defective pool sitting in our backyard with barely 2 inches of water in it and very sad kids who have yet to swim in it. Now waiting on a 3rd liner to be shipped from intex. And on top of it all, we haven’t even had the chance to run the pump or salt water system yet to see if those are defective either, seeing as lots of people have had issues with those things as well. The value is NOT there. Clearly, this line of Intex pools were not quality checked. This pool cost way too much money to not work properly. DO NOT BUY. If you want to invest in an above ground pool, I would recommend getting a hard sided pool from a professional pool company who values their customers & don’t essentially steal their money.

I was nervous to buy this pool with so few reviews, but it has been great! It was easy to set up once we used some soapy water to get the frame poles through the liner. The pump and salt system do what they’re supposed to do and we’re pretty easy to setup. The water analyzer that came with it is junk though. I think it was used because it was all corroded and I couldn’t ever get it connected to the app anyway so it’s now in the trash and got a different one that is also junk. But everything else is great!! Also, I absolutely love the stairs. They were a pain to put together but they’re so stable that even my dog figured them out quickly! And I love that they fold up when we’re not using it. Side note: don’t follow the salt requirement of 3000ppm that is standard with most salt systems. I did that by mistake and had to partially drain and refill my pool to get it to the correct level. It only needs 950ppm to operate.

This is our first “big kid pool” as my kids like to call it. We set this up about 3 weeks ago and everything seems so far so good. Nothing negative that really stands out to me. Kids really love it! The setup of the pool and the filter system was simple as long as you can follow directions. I had teenagers setting things up and they were able to do it pretty quickly, we did have the area prepped beforehand. They had it from box to adding water in a little over an hour and a half. I was surprised the filter didn’t come with any fittings to attach a pipe for waste, since you have to backwash to set it up but that wasn’t anything too inconvenient. The ladder took the longest to put together, but is much nicer than I expected. The lights are brighter than I thought they were going to be not too bright tho, so that was a good surprise. As far as anything else time will tell. The delivery service’s customer service was really kind and easy to work with, however, they either didn’t know exactly what the delivery drivers were equip with or misinformed. The delivery in itself, less than impressive. The package was pretty damaged, but there were no defects on the product itself. Drivers didn’t seem to care about their job or what they were delivering, but they weren’t rude at all. They also didn’t have the ability (equipment wise - I was informed by the customer service they would have other means to drop the boxes more than just off the back of the truck or I would have had other equipment waiting) or desire to do more than laterally drop and go. Overall, I got this at a good sale price so I won’t complain about the cost.

We've been really happy with the INTEX 18' x 52" UltraLuxe pool. It's the perfect size for family and friends, with plenty of room to swim and relax without feeling crowded. The frame is sturdy, the liner feels thick and durable, and the overall build quality gives it a premium feel that's made to last. The smart features are a great bonus. The Wi-Fi-enabled sand filter and saltwater system keep the water clean with minimal maintenance, and the water analyzer makes it much easier to keep the water balanced. The retractable ladder is also a nice safety feature. Overall, it's a well-built, durable pool with modern features that make it a great long-term investment.

Paid the extra money to get a saltwater pool, only to find out that the chlorine generator does not work. I filed a warranty claim and have been waiting for two weeks. Just talked to Intex and they are telling me to wait another month for a replacement part. In the mean time, I have to pay for chlorine to add to the pool since their chlorine generator is defective. When asked about refund or compensation for having to buy chlorine for another month I was put on hold for over 16 minutes until I hung up. I called back and requested to speak to a supervisor and they will not allow you to talk to anyone else. You have to send them an email to file a complaint. Worse customer service I have experienced in a long time. Product is so defective that you have to wait 6 plus weeks for a replacement. Not acceptable in my opinion. Don't waste your money on a salt water pool from Intex.

Do NOT use AI to figure out how much salt you need. Read the paper manual for the filter and test your water salinity before you add a salt. Use the recommended lbs of salt in the table. Make sure to: Absolutely Use the math formula in the filter manual to figure out how much salt to add. Do NOT use well water to fill your pool. It will have metals and minerals that will throw off the salinity readings. Put in half the salt you think you need and then test salinity reading. You can always add more salt, but you can’t take it out.

Intex really stepped up their game with this pool. I know because I've had 3 of them. New this year 2026. The built in skimmer and ladder are life changing. The filter/salt water system keeps the pool crystal clear. The water analyzer is something I didn't know I needed. It's awesome to know at anytime the temp and that the water is stabilized. The built in lights makes it beautiful at night. And finally the blue color makes it esthetically pleasing. No more ugly grey liner. Best purchase ever. My husband thanks me everyday .
