Ground must be firm and compact to support a filled pool. Do not install on slopes, mud, sand, or loose soil. Do not place on decks, balconies, or elevated platforms. How much space is needed around the pool? Allow at least 4 ft (1.22 m) of clear space on all sides. Keep the area free of objects children could climb to access the pool. What are the electrical safety requirements for the pool? Place the pool at least 6 ft (1.83 m) from any outlet. All 125V, 15–20A outlets within 20 ft (6 m) must be GFCI-protected. Measure distance along the shortest accessible path without passing through walls, doors, or windows.
