Instructions are not the best for set up but it is not terribly complicated. You will likely need chemicals (chlorine tabs, ph up, ph down, anti-foam) very soon after set up. The cover is a full skirt on the tub and not easy to get on and off but is likely more efficient than the style that just sits on the top. There are clips on the side of the tub for the other style cover but they are not used. It holds temp pretty well while in use here in florida with night time temps in the 60's. Drops about 2 degrees and hour without the bubbles on, will drop faster with the bubbles. Probably would not recommend for outdoor use in Northern states during the winter like Ohio where we moved from. I don't think the heater could keep up. * update * cover is a pain on the backside. I don't expect my very capable wife to have the patience to get it on and off. May be more energy efficient but not worth the hassle. Would have preferred the top that fits the clips on the side of the tub.

Long story short, I initially loved this. I'd wanted one forever and was finally able to afford one. All was well for a few months, then the pump CAUGHT FIRE! The seller said since it was over 30 days since purchase, I had to take it up with Intex. It took forever to reach Intex customer service, but they grudgingly sent a replacement pump. When I went to set it up weeks ago, it started throwing error codes. I did all the troubleshooting, Youtube videos, new filters, everything. The heater failed and it was toast. Since Intex will send up to 4 replacements (according to their OWN warranty claim document), I contacted the for a pump replacement as it was only a few months old. The tub part was still sturdy and good. Again, it took weeks to talk to a live person who directed me to fill out the online form and submit a picture with the cord cut. They said it would take up to 48 hours for it to be approved and they'd send me a tracking number for the new pump. As the weather was still a bit chilly, I wasn't in a huge hurry, so I waited...for SIX weeks. I finally got a hold of a person last Monday, explained everything. She told me she was very sorry for the wait and she would approve the form and get the pump sent out that day. Fast forward to today when I called to ask about a tracking number and make sure it was on the way because the online form said it wasn't approved and needed more info. I spoke to a young man who had no clue what was going on and kept putting me on hold to speak to someone else. Up to this point, he said he was working on finding out what the deal was, then why didn't i send a pic of the cut cord (I had uploaded TWO different pics of the cut cord and unit). Nearly an hour passes with him going back and forth with whomever he was talking to when I notice that the online form was being edited in real time. They DENIED the claim WHILE I was speaking with them even though for the past six weeks, they said everything was fine and they'd replace the defective unit. He finally gets back on the phone and says it's being denied because its out of warranty. Yes, the original was bought in 2022, but they said the previous replacement they sent had a new year warranty which still had a few months left on it. While the hot tub is great when it works, the customer service is beyond deplorable. You'll just have a very expensive duck pond with no way to get your money back or a unit that actually works. If you already have one, I wish you the best of luck.

The media could not be loaded. Okay first off easy to get going, super easy to maintain. A little over a year in and still running phenomenally! I bought it oct 23 and it’s Jan 25. Right before Texas is about to freeze so I came out to take a dip to prepare. I realize I may have taken for granted how affordable this was for the luxury it brought to my life! My soar muscles, pocket book and romantic life all are pleased! My cons for this are the cover that came with it deteriorated quickly. My spa is in a greenhouse in Texas so it wasn’t a big deal the blowup part is still strong and covers us just fine. It’s helped me lose weight! I can stretch those hips and release the trauma that holds my weight on. Sounds crazy but 80 lbs down and this is part of the program! Best money we ever spent

Overall I'm happy with my purchase because I've definitely gotten my money's worth over 2 years of ownership. That being said. The hot tub blows out cold water from the outlets for the bubbles which quickly cools the water temperature. In 1 hour, temperature will go from 103° to 97° Also, the hot tub underwater light has malfunctioned twice and now we don't have one that functions.

This is a very nice tub, fairly easy to put together you’ll need 2 people, however the instructions/manual are not the easiest to decipher , picture diagram needs to be bigger with illustrations. There were parts in the box but no explanation for them. We figured it out though. All in all a good buy, I would recommend it to anyone interested in buying one.

We were very happy with this purchase the first summer we used it. It was easy to set up and held temperature well into late fall before we took it down for the winter. This past month, we pulled it out of the basement and went to set it up for the year. To our dismay, it had a slow leak. The item had sat in the storage area of our basement untouched since taking it down late in the Fall. I was planning to come on and make a bad review over the durability of the product. However, the customer service was fantastic. They have replaced our item under warranty since it was less than a year old. I was very surprised how easy they were to work with.

I am writing this review as a warning to anyone considering this product. Just one month after purchasing this Intex hot tub, the entire pump unit caught fire, an event that could have been catastrophic. The flames were strong enough that they came dangerously close to burning down my privacy fence. This product is an extreme fire hazard and a terrible investment. Not only did it fail completely in a very short amount of time, but it also put my property and safety at risk. Do not buy this product if you value your money or your home. This was a complete waste of money and an incredibly stressful experience.
