🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Customers generally celebrate the quality and value of this hot tub, highlighting its quick and easy setup, impressive jet strength, and substantial size that comfortably fits multiple users. While some reviewers mention issues with scratchy surfaces and the hot tub's heating efficiency on a standard 110V setup, the consensus is one of satisfaction, particularly noting the improvement in sleep and relaxation. Despite a few manageable drawbacks, users appreciate the hot tub's luxury feel at a competitive price point.

Pros

  • 🛁 Quick and easy setup, with some reporting readiness for use in less than 24 hours
  • 👥 Sizable capacity, comfortably accommodating 4-7 people
  • 💧 Strong jet performance with minimal temperature drop over time
  • ✔ Quality cover included, providing effective insulation and protection
  • 🌡 Effective heating and maintenance, particularly with an option to upgrade power source for improved efficiency

Cons

  • ⏲ Lengthy heat-up time on 110V and notable heat loss during use
  • 🔧 Scratchy acrylic shell and challenging access panel for maintenance
  • ❗ Comprehensive manual lacking, leaving some users guessing maintenance routines

Should I Buy It?

Yes, if you're in the market for an affordable hot tub that doesn't compromise on size or jet strength. Despite minor criticisms regarding heat retention and surface comfort, the overwhelming majority of users find it to be an excellent investment for relaxation and comfort. It's an ideal choice particularly for first-time hot tub owners ready to manage simple maintenance for a delightful soaking experience.

  • Plug & play 4 person hot tub is a winner!
This is a new just received review. Durability over time is therefore not known. Setup was quick, about 30 mins.. FWIW, owners in the Southeast can relax about not opting for a 240V power connection. All you give up is the ability to run the jets & heat simultaneously. Since most users are in, then out within 20 mins, the water temp doesn't drop quickly enough to make it an issue. In northern climates heating w4kW is likely needed due to continuous heat loss. Heating: Filling took an hour with 78° tap water (FL). It took from 3pm to 5 am to reach 102°, so 14 hrs.. A 24° temperature rise. Performance: The Jets are more than powerful enough for relaxation & stress relief. Air mixing dials are provided for jets in each half of the tub, so you may select the mixture preferred. The LED light is a nice touch & helps visibility at night. Value: This is a roto-molded tub. The process is perfect for casting hollow items and is less expensive than vacuum formed acrylic process common to high end (expensive) hot tubs. Essential (Strong Spas parent) warrants the tub against rot ,cracks or peeling to the original owner (1 address, so voided by moving). This allayed concerns about the integrity of the shell structure. Summary: For the price this is a superb, quality backed tub. I can highly recommend it for anyone wanting 4+ capacity hot tub. I added the rocking cover storage rack and the entry steps. For < $4500 this was a steal! 11/28 UPDATE: Upon delivery a side panel was cracked and needed replacement. I called Amazon Customer Service. The Rep. tied Essential Product Support into our conversation. I was asked to provide photos of the damage. Four days later a replacement arrived via Fed-X. You can rest assured that any issues will be resolved promptly. Amazon is behind your purchase and will make certain you are satisfied with your new spa. ... show more

  • 120v works great.
Update, ranked 4 stars as the tub is great. No leaks, works as advertised. I am using a 120v server for it but may upgrade later to take advantage of the additional modes. It stays hot and is easy to maintain. Still not happy it was delivered to the wrong address and had to rent a piece of equipment to get it home but overall happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Can’t send repair men if it breaks
From day one jets did not work properly, called for a repair said they would send someone out but have contractors so will work on finding one, 2 weeks no repair guy now we have an error code on the board, called again said they are still looking for a contractor in our area, 4 days later it won’t turn on at all no power, I called again they stated they understand the urgency now but I will have to drain it till they can find some and winterize it as they don’t know when they can get it repaired…. I returned it and am buying one that has local repair technician and is better quality. Customer service is very rude and if you want a repair you are pretty much out of luck ... show more

  • Best affordable hot tub
The media could not be loaded. This company is the real deal!was scared of buying a hot tub on line but gave it a try. First it was delivered in a great way on our property to set it in our designated spot. So easy fill it up plug it in and let it heat up . It’s pre programmed but if you want something different it comes with a complete guide with pictures to reprogram your needs .We live in northern Michigan and it was delivered to us in February so pretty cold , but it kept it’s temperature all winter and we only noticed about a $15 to $20 increase in our bill during winter. Summer time no real change to our bill . We did run into 2 separate problems, control panel issues and a leaking hose which were solved in a very fast time period. Reached out to them and Angela solved our problem each time with no cost to us . I will definitely be doing business with them when we upgrade! ... show more

  • Overall Very Pleased!
We've had our Shoreline Lounger 24 jet hot tub now for a month. We use it nearly every day and really love it. If I could, I'd give it a 4.5 - but I gave it 4 out of 5 for only a couple of reasons: 1) the acrylic shell is really scratchy. My daughter and I have to wear shorts otherwise it scraps the backs of our legs. Still scrapes against our back. 2) on 110v it takes a long time to heat up and loses quite a bit of heat while we're in it. If I bring it up to 102 and we're in it for an hour, it's down to 99 or 98 by the time we get out. Having the top open and the jets going really cools it down. But, that's to be expected. We're planning to switch to 240v soon. 3) the manual isn't as comprehensive as I'd like or need for a first time hot tub owner. 4) the access panel is held on by 6 long screws and isn't easy to get into. Conversely, this means it's also very secure. I'd give it a 5 star for these reasons: 1) the support has been great - responsive and helpful every time I've reached out to them. 2) the ease of shipping and set up was great - really couldn't have been much easier (except for the access panel issue from above.) 3) perfect size for us - small enough to put anywhere, to fill and heat. Large enough for 3-4 people comfortably. 4) jets are nice, if we were to get another one, we'd probably get more jets - but they are definitely adequate. I would agree with all the comments about the difficulty in learning the maintenance. It's a pretty steep learning curve. However, a month in, and I feel like I'm finally figuring out the rhythm of it all with the cleaning and chemicals and such. I would also agree with the comments about how much the electricity, water and chemicals cost each month. My guess is we'll add between $100-150 per month onto our bills. Still, we believe it's worth it. I keep the temp down to about 95 degrees overnight, and then go out about 2pm, check the chemicals, and turn up the heat to 103 degrees - which means it's about ready for us at 7-8pm. There may be a better way to do it, but we've found this to work so far. If you want to get in the tub at different times each day, it's a little more difficult. You would probably have to leave the temp up to 100 all the time so you'd only have to wait a little bit before getting it to bring it up to full temp. That's just too expensive for us. So, we plan to get in after dinner each night, rather than during the day. Overall, we're really pleased. Again, I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. I have a severe sensitivity to mold and environmental toxins, this is an easy and lovely way to help detox each day from those. It's also so relaxing. I know I'm sleeping better too. ... show more
