  • comfortable, fun, looks nice, easy set up. comfortable, fun, looks nice, easy set up.
This is an update to my first review. We ordered this on June 22, 2021 and received it a week later so we have had it slightly less than a year. Last summer we enjoyed this spa everyday and at the end of summer we drained it, cleaned it and packed it away in a very safe place. Two weeks ago we set it up for this summer and filled it full of water. The next day we discovered that there is an air leak, but we could not find it and ended up emptying the water drying it out and then using a spray bottle full of soapy water we spent hours searching for the air leak. We never found the source of the leak and for the past week we have had to reinflate the spa everyday. Doing this the spa works but it has become a real pain having to disconnect the spa from the air unit so frequently. Next week we are going to drain the spa and probably throw it in the garbage if we don’t find the leak. Based on our experience with this spa I can’t recommend this product to anyone. Right now I am feeling we wasted our money on a one season use disposable product. For the record, this is what I wrote last year when I gave the initial review: This tub surpassed our expectations and it has turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and a wonderful end of day experience. It is very comfortable and so much fun to step into for cooling down on hot days and to warm up for the cooer evening temps. The tub sits on a concrete patio and ground pad that is provided has enough cushion to make it feel like we are sitting on soft ground. The 140 bubble jets are amazing and they feel much nicer than commercial tubs we’ve used at gyms and hotels. The water temperatures are easy to control, in daytime we keep it low to mid 80’s then for evening we crank it up to 100. The set up was very quick and easy, but we did read the directions first just as others have advised. This is definitely something you can’t skip the directions on. It took us around 10 minutes to blow it up and about an hour to fill it up using a simple garden hose. The head rests that are included are really nice but being 5’8” tall they are not needed, however a taller person would really appreciate them. The top cover was easy to blow up and it is simple to remove it and put it back on. Love the fact that the top closes tight, keeps the temperature level and that the clip snaps have child proof locks built into them. It will keep small kids out. Also like the fact that the main control unit locks itself down after 10 seconds, so nobody can mess with it. So far the only options we’ve had to buy are two beverage trays for holding our margaritas, some plastic glasses with screw on lids and strays that we bought off the shelf for $4 at target and the spa chemicals to treat the water. I feel very good about this spa so far and would buy it again without hesitation. One negative if it is one, the tub says 4 person, we are just two adults at 5-6 & 5-8 and we fit fine, even when our two grad kids hopped in with us. But, if you are tall and think you would want 4 grown adults in the tub then I’d recommend you buy the next size up for the leg room. ... show more

  • Love my hot tub!
I have always wanted a hot tub but the price put me off. When I discovered inflatable hot tubs at a reasonable price I was very interested. I was concerned regarding the quality of inflatable hot tubs and if they delivered the same experience as regular hot tubs. After doing some research, I decided to take the plunge. After a month of use, I love my hot tub. I can't fully express how wonderful the feeling is as I slip nto the tub. The only thing this hot tub lacks is the high powered jets that can massage your back. The heater, pump and bubbler work flawlessly. I am impressed by the engineering of the hot tub. Set up was remarkably easy and well thought out. The controls are simple. The inflatable tub has remained properly inflated and the detachable control unit has a mounting space on the top of the tub. I am 6' 2" tall and I fit comfortably in the hot tub. I feel it is perfect as a two person hot tub but if you go to three or four adults you will need to raise your knees or lie across other people's legs. The fact that it runs on a standard 110 volt outlet is a plus as well. The downside is that the manufacturer does not recommend using it when the temperature falls below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. I highly recommend this hot tub to anyone looking for a great, relaxing experience without spending thousands of dollars. ... show more

  • Received A Better One Than Ordered
We ordered the round Intex 28439E, but received the square Intex 28449EP, so this review is actually for the 28449EP. It arrived 2 days after ordering. Really appreciate the upgrade: This has a more efficient cover. Before driving yourself nuts if you get the more efficient cover, check the loose papers for alternate instructions. The booklet had instructions for a different cover. This cover has a very tight fit around the outside. I found if you place the float on top of the spa water, then the cover inside-out on top the float, and pull the sides down around the perimeter is the easiest. Like putting on a fitted sheet that is small. Also, leave extra room around the spa to pull the cover down for the sake of your knuckles. It uses salt, not bleach as a disinfectant. Really reduces the odor and is easier to handle. I used coarse solar (softener) salt. Any 99.9% pure (not iodized) salt will work. It takes 4.4 lbs which measured around 5 cups of the coarse salt. It connects to your WiFi so it can be operated from an app. I did not think we would ever use that, but it does allow you to change temperature and run a cleaning cycle remotely. Handy if its raining or you want to heat it up to be ready for you later. Had to upgrade our router to reach it as the stock router from our ISP sucked, but we needed a better one anyway. I have referred to the spa as a bait station for mosquitos, and we're the bait. One use taught me that if we intend to use a hot tub, that needed fixed. I have it sitting on our gazebo which is open all round. So I found screen kits with a magnetic entry closure for a two car garage. Took 3 to surround the inside of the gazebo. Definitely worth considering if installing outside. The heater is not very powerful which is better for the design and electric bill, but has two problems. One is that the water temperature is slow to rise, so use warm water when filling. The second is the bubble air pump brings in ambient air so the water temperature will drop, and the colder the air temperature, the lower the water temperature will go. If it is too much of a problem, I will look into a tankless propane water heater and a small circulating pump. For now, it is OK as is. The material seems durable. If putting it on the ground I would suggest clearing the area of all sticks, rocks etc, mow the grass as low as possible, then put at least 1 1/2 or 2 inches of sand down and leveled, and a large tarp on top of that. The spa comes with a bubble sheet to go under it which would be OK alone for a deck or cement patio. I wouldn't trust the bubble sheet alone to keep protect the bottom from a typical yard. So far, we both love it. Good soak for older sore joints and muscles. ... show more

  • intex 4 person well below 0deg running fine
intex 4 person soft tub. i dont do reviews on a regular basis but few have done any on extreme cold on these softubs so here it goes.my location western mid maine and as i write this review it is 17deg below zero all week we have had temps near or below zero some with 20 mph winds. this tub has never waivered below 103 its setting is 104 from the day i installed. i will say its been on and heating 24-7 sure bill will increase by 50 to 100 $time will tell there. this tub sits on 2in thick polyfoam (any homedepot ) and the mat they provide on a covered wooden deck elevated off ground next to my house so i could tuck the heater/pump closer to house but not covered. filled with cold well water 41 deg took a good 3 days to achieve 104 suspected this, also used a pool solar heater round 5 foot inside under stock cover. my only issues were a defective cover would not hold inflation more than a day (company was awsome sent a new one ) now thats fine and tub will not hold full of air (needs a reflateevery day) also company sending me a new air valve mwill try that . the tub is super simple to inflate with the intergral bubble/pump and blower to fill tub take me 30 sec to reinflate so not so so bad. setup was a breeze instructions great only issue is cold weather and plastic dont work so unfolding when it was 30 deg was fun but blower is warm air and goes fairly quick. this is my first soft tub and i must say very impressed with the build if its below 40deg where you live buy it do as i did and enjoy the heat. btw shipping was spot on 2 days even in covid ... show more

  • We LOVE our hot tub!
We received our hot tub sooner than expected. got it set up in an hour. It took a solid 2.5 days to warm up to 104 degrees but the outside temperature was below 30 at night so it was an uphill battle. It did great! day 4 we got to use it and loved it!! that night it ran an error E81 code. Not sure what that means but according to the seller it was not fixable. Had to cut a 1ft x 1ft hole in it send a pic and they sent out a new hot tub the next day. Got it 1 day later. I was very happy with the sellers response. The new control panel seems to be much more responsive than the last one so I'm sure it was a defective unit. The new one fired right up and we can't wait to use it. Hot Tub: The short time we got to use it we loved it. Bubbles and heat work awesome. So relaxing and its nice because we have small kids and they can touch the floor so they just bounce around and I don't have to worry as much if we had a deeper hot tub. It comes with an LED light. 2 filters, 2 head rests, cover and a bubble insulation mat for the ground. All nice materials, well made and please with everything so far. Its very sturdy, you can sit on the side wall. Made of very thick material and bottom is cushioned for sitting on. Comfortable and relaxing. Definitely worth it!! ... show more

  • Terrific Product with Short Lifespan
My husband and I did a lot of research on inflatable hot tubs before we purchased one. We looked at top review sites, individual reviews on Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Costco, Home Depot and more. We also knew we wanted it indoor. My focus was on relaxation while my just-retired husband has health challenges that would greatly benefit from the spa’s bubblejets. Plus, he likes to chill, too. I prefer not to leave negative reviews – like to send out positive energy so, I rarely review an item I am unhappy with. I apologize to any person who bought this hot tub while we have struggled to get assistance. However, when a product or company exceeds my expectations, I am an advocate for sharing it with the world. In this case, when the experience is frustrating beyond measure, here is my take: After watching this unit for several weeks and witnessing the Amazon price increase in $50 increments, we bought the Intex Greywood Deluxe 4-person inflatable spa 7/25/20 although we were not ready for it. We invested in laying porcelain tile in the basement of our home-which delayed our first use of the hot tub until September 2020. We researched & purchased the right size dehumidifier, recommended chemicals, painted the walls, bought underlayment, purchased a TV, and placed stereo equipment, and lighting to create a pleasant and relaxing spa experience. We’d make the most of being homebound during Covid-19 safeguards. We are huge fans of this Intex spa but made our big mistake by not researching Intex Recreation Corp and VM Express – the manufacturer and distributor of this spa, respectively. Don’t think for a second that Amazon stands behind these kinds of products- they do not. They directed us to the company distributing the inflatable spa, VM Express. Then, when we contacted VM Express they pushed us off to Intex Corp. Our spa “died” after using it less than a dozen times. Representatives at Intex and VM Express are friendly enough but all we could do was file a warranty claim. We did so on 11/23/20 and were told it would likely take about 2 months to get in a new power unit and Intex sent us an email confirming the claim. Over 5 months later, we are without the use of the spa intended for physical relief for my husband and (now) stress-relief for me. Our pleasant Covid-19 retreat could not materialize. These 5 months have been exasperating. Is the company going to extend its 1-year warranty by the inexcusable amount of time we wait for their power unit to arrive? My husband called VM Express when he saw they were selling this spa again. Why not send us the power unit of a new model and take care of a current customer but NO. We wonder how many other customers of Amazon>VM Express>Intex Corp are experiencing the same frustration? Look, we understand Covid created chaos in availability of goods and services, transportation shortages, and cargo ships stuck at sea unable to get to port for a wide variety of reasons. Still, solutions exist although they are customer-centric solutions – and don’t provide the profits these companies want. One person returned our call and left a voicemail, but we could not understand him and there was no call back number. VM Express nor Intex Corp has contacted us to update the status of our claim. We are just supposed to wait patiently and be content that we got almost a dozen uses out of something we paid $750 for. NOT. One look at the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and you will see Intex Recreation Corp (B rating with 1.03 stars from customer reviews) and TrustPilot gives VM Express 1.5 stars so, alienating customers seems to be their M.O. VM Express sells so many unrelated products it is easy to get high ratings when you sell things that cannot stop working. IF you are considering the Intex PureSpa Greywood Deluxe for 4 people – RUN! Do not look back but 1.) good luck finding an economical inflatable hot tub made in the USA and 2.) turns out, VM Express seems to have a large corner on the inflatable hot tub market – selling most of Walmart’s, Amazon’s, and others. Lesson learned: research the company behind the product you are considering. ... show more

  • High Quality
I was terrified of getting some cheap flimsy spa that I would have to pack up and return but not this baby. Super sturdy. You're not really supposed to but I can easily sit on the side of this thing (I'm 260 lbs) and it's like sitting on a firm chair. This thing was really easy to put together and so no PHD in engineering or physics required. I was amazed at how quiet the pump and heater is. At first I thought it wasn't running, that's how quiet it is. It heats to 104 degrees F. My wife wishes it would get just a bit hotter but she's part lobster. The head rests are useless. I could have used a starter set of filters instead. The light is cool just don't leave it submerged or eventually water leaks in. The pump works great and generates massaging bubbles that looks really cool with the underwater lights slowly changing colors. From a cost perspective I have not noticed any significant change in our electric bill and I have had my spa about a year now. I run mine night and day for the most part. I only wish there was an option to run the thing longer than 48 Hrs. Every 48 hours you have to reset the timer. Other than that I am impressed and extremely satisfied with the quality of this spa. • Best Hot Tub on the Market! Best Hot Tub on the Market!
This is a very nice inflatable hot tub! I bought a different one that last a week and had to send it back. It only took 2 days for it to arrive! This one so far has been awesome! The water heats up about 2-3 degrees per hour, which is the best I've seen in my extensive research. If you want to use this tub same day I recommend you buy a water hose adapter for your faucet from Lowe’s and fill it with hot water. Other wise your looking at 24 hours before you can use it. Which is true for all inflatable hot tubs. Most require 48 hours to heat up. It was pretty quick to set up and fill. The wireless control is a nice feature. I don't like the 4 sec unlock feature like every one else. It holds heat very well with the inflatable cover. The bubbles are very strong and relaxing. I would definitely recommend buying chairs and cup holders you will need them. They add to the experience when using. As you can see I bought a canopy and lights which makes using at night much more enjoyable and keeps bugs out. I built a stone patio for my base 8x10. It should help protect and insulate my tub. The tub is roughly a 8ft diameter using a 8ftx 8ft area. It has plenty of room for 3 maybe 4 people if you all are close friends. My kids love this tub and use it every day. Over all a very sturdy and nice hot tub. If your looking for a inflatable hot tub look no further! Best inflatable hot tub on the market! ... show more
