I wasn't sure what to think about this pool because I had seen some mixed reviews. It did take me three different tries to set up the pool on three different days, but that is because I kept needing to relevel the pool manually with a shovel. Ultimately I just decided to risk it and set the pool up even though there was a slight...couple of inch difference in the levelness of the pool on one quarter section. I had read some reviews that insisted that the pool must be exactly perfectly level.... And am relieved to report that even though mine is slightly off due to some rock impeding my ability to achieve perfect level ground.... The pool has been up for almost 2 months now and it's doing just fine. I think if a whole half of the pool were off, this would be different. In any case, I have friends over regularly to do water aerobics and it's a lovely time. Pool is still going great. The pump works pretty good, but you are definitely going to need one of those vacuum things. I bought one on Amazon I think it was by Intex as well for 28 bucks. If you have any trees letting off leaves, you will want the pool vacuum thing. I also bought a pool skimmer device but haven't attached it yet because surprisingly the pool is pretty easy to maintenance if you do it everyday. The pool does not require as much work as some people make it out to be in my opinion. I find it easier to leave the pool uncovered and just fish out the leaves everyday. It motivates me to also use the pool on a regular basis and makes it easier to monitor the pool's cleanliness when I can actually see it. In terms of chemical maintenance, I just bought some 3-in chlorine tablets, put some chlorine stabilizer in every now and then because of its exposure to sun.... (The sun destroys chlorine more quickly for those who don't know and the sun also promotes the growth of algae if the pool is not adequately chlorinated.) I also shocked the pool when it gets cloudy, which has only been once in the last 2 months. I am usually pretty bad about maintaining stuff, so if maintaining the pool is easy for me, it should probably be pretty easy for most people. Seriously. It's a small pool and it has a filter that runs on a timer. I should also note that I don't like using the cover. It catches leaves and other crap that end up going into the pool when you remove the cover anyway. So it's easier for me to just leave the cover off and fish out some leaves whenever I see them floating. If they sit on the cover too long they disintegrate, and then you have to break out the vacuum instead of just using a net. I realize at this point it's at the end of pool season, but what a great time to get a deal on this pool. I'm disappointed I didn't wait a little longer to buy it because it was more than $100 cheaper a month after I bought it. Finally, I need to go back to the pool setup. It was actually very easy. Surprisingly easy. It would have been easier if my land were already level. Nevertheless it was so easy, that I set the pool up and took down the pool three separate times three days in a row while trying to get the thing level. I didn't fill it all the way the first two times but did on the 3rd. This pool is over 5,000 gallons, so be prepared for a giant water bill. Where I live, my water bill ended up being about $170. The base bill is normally $35.... And I don't normally pay more than $35 so.... Count on a steep waterbill whenever you fill it. As long as this pool holds up for a while, I would definitely recommend buying it again. And if anything happens in the next year or so, I'll update this. My family bought an 18 times 48 sized pool. Unfortunately, the ground you place the pool on has to be one hundred percent flat, or else you'll have a slightly deeper end. What will also happen is that the higher end doesn't get as much water as the deeper end. So when the deeper end is filled bellow the ring, and you add more water, it will always go to the deeper end and the pool will overflow. Even if you have a one hundred percent flat place for your pool, you cannot fill it any higher than right below the ring, or else it literally dumps out all the water that isn't below the ring. The slightly elevated area that has less water will have a side that caves in just a bit. It is really a problem. The water can't go inside the pipes to the filter and the pump. There's also a bit of false advertising here too. The POOL is 48 inches tall, but the water in the pool can only go below the ring. The water isn't four feet deep. It takes a bit long to fill up. Another thing to avoid is rocks. Large rocks under the pool. It is hard to flatten the bottom of the pool with slightly elevated places. When you put up the pool, after you've blown up the ring ( By the way, the only thing to blow up is the ring!) someone has to fill the pool with about an inch of water and hop in and smooth the inside of the pool. It is hard. What I did is I hopped in and smoothed it out while the water was running. It gets harder when the pool has more water. I started when the deepest end had about maybe an inch of water. It took me an hour to get all the major creases, air bubbles and wrinkles out and there are still a lot of wrinkles. Trust me, the air bubbles are hard to get out. Our pool's floor was super wrinkled, that's why it took me that long. I made a lot of headway but it was harder to get some wrinkles out. Only one method worked for me but I had to be super patient. Also, this method isn't in the manual. Start from the middle and spread out in a circular motion. Spin around and flatten. Once you've got your small, middle circle done, expand and cover a bit more ground. Repeat until done. Spots of creases and wrinkles( mostly air bubbles) may reappear but that's why patience is important.... Next... the pump. The pump works just fine, however, it weighs down the pool, because the pool is made of plastic, so the side with the pump sags and also caves in. It is also hard to fill up that corner with water because of that. Also, the pump could be more powerful. Next, the ladder. Yes indeed, you have to build the ladder. The ladder is a bit unsteady. A bit wobbly, but it works. Our biggest concern regarding the ladder was that its hard rubber material at the bottom of the ladder, may wear a hole in the pool. We have concluded to either lay a mat under it, or keep moving the ladder around. We haven't tried the debris cover yet, but it looks like it'll work better than the recommended Intex solar cover that we bought seperately. It blew right off with one huge gust of wind. But overall, this pool was an amazing purchase. I highly recommend it. I also hope this review is helpful to someone. ... show more

We have bought several easy set type pools. They are never as deep as advertised. This pool was easy to set up, we have lots of experience. We do not use the pump and filter that comes with the pools. The paper filters are expensive, and don't last but just a week, if that. Bought a good sand filter pump. That's the way to go. Now, back to the pool. Says in the pool description, 15' x 48" deep. Absolutely FALSE! This pool is 38" deep to the top of the water when completely full. 46" to the top of the inflatable ring. It might get to 48" to top of ring if you really pump air in and swell the ring diameter up. But in my experience, if you fill them to much, they are easier to poke holes in and do not last as long. Also printed on box and on side of pool. I'm not sure of the actual width, I do believe that at its widest point it's very close to 15'. Swim surface is approximately 12'6". If the inflatable ring was thicker or made from a more sturdy material, I would rate durability at 5 stars. But it's the first thing that goes bad. Usually last the first season with no holes/patches. It goes downhill from there. ... show more
