As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic we decided to purchase our own above ground pool rather than risk going to the public pool we typically join every summer. Purchased this Intex 18' round pool and we are pleased with it. Set up was easier than expected and the grandkids have a safe place to swim and stay cooled off all summer. This size pool takes right around 6,000 gallons of water and allows for plenty of room for our family of 4. The only complaint I have is the size of the pump........we will run it this season but will likely replace it before next summer with a larger pump. The quality of the ladder is adequate, but we are already planning to build a small deck as well as install pool steps to make the access easier. I would have preferred having the option of buying the whole pool bundle, or just the pool (at a lower cost), knowing that some of the components would need to be upgraded. ... show more

Very easy to assemble. Took 3 of us about 45 minutes. I highly suggest watching the selection of youtube videos to give you a better understanding of site prep and filling instructions. May save you a lot of time especially if you have to re-do anything. I suggest using more than the thin tarp they send as a ground cover. It will save the bottom of the pool if you put something thicker. When you consider there is 35000 pound of water seemingly small rough edges will wear holes pretty fast. There are lots of videos that will help you learn how to maintain the chemical balance so your pool will stay clean and clear. A chlorine tablet float is a must. Saves a lot of time and guess work. The suggested pool cleaning kit with vacuum is a must. I will say that the ladder is a little sketchy. it says good up to 300 pounds but I surely wouldn't trust it. ... show more

To start, would I recommend this pool? Yes, no question. This will be our third season using this pool, and it has held up very well. We do take it down fully after each season. Sounds like a lot of work but it’s not bad at all because all of the parts just snap into place- no bolts or screws etc. for the space we had to work with this pool was perfect. Large enough to play in, relax and cool off without taking up more of the yard than we wanted to. The only cons I have are the ladder is pretty basic, that said we are still using it going into year three. The pump… that I replaced after 2 weeks. For a pool this size you just need more power than the one included can provide. I got a 12 inch intex sand filter and that has worked great. If you are on the fence, I say go for it! All in all it’s a quality pool for pools in this family, it will last with proper care and won’t break the budget. Well we weren’t expecting our pool to arrive until May 11-15. It arrived 3 days early. Thank goodness my husband was working in the yard and asked if this was the pool delivery. I didn’t notice the number on my phone, so I didn’t answer it and there was no voicemail. The box was delivered on a good pallet and the box isn’t ripped so that’s good so far. Once we get the ground leveled this weekend we will assemble and fill it. I will make an updated post once we get it up and running. We do know that these soft sided pools don’t last but 2 years but it’s worth it if you don’t have space for an in ground pool. This will be our second Intex pool same size too. I was excited to get my pool. It even came 2 day early. THANKS AMAZON. Very easy directions on putting it together. And the most beautiful part was filling it up. I do recommend putting pavers under poles, and a bigger pump which we went for sand filter only because I didnt want to keep purchasing filters.Over all very satisfied with the product. ... show more

This pool is a great set up for the money. However, there are SOME issues that we didn't like. Firstly, the ground cloth that you get with it is EXTREMELY thin.... so much so it was ripping and tearing as we tried to install. So we ended up buying another heavy duty tarp to accomodate. Secondly, the band that surrounds the pool never because taught and kept more slack that we thought would be normal... hoping it holds as the kiddos jump in. Third, THE SMELL of this pool when first unwrapped is horrible. It will smell of chemicals and melted plastic at first almost like a sharpie. It actually caused one of the installers to stop with a headache from the fumes. After a few days out of the box it went away... but MAN it did smell on day one. Otherwise, the pool came as described, no defects, perfectly large for our family of 4... would recommend 8/10. ... show more

After set up and filling the pool I noticed a small leak on the side from what looks to be a small cut. The patch provided unfortunately didn’t completely stop the leak. Fixable with the purchase of a different patch solution. Also noticed some scraps on the side that don’t leak but looks like the liner was treated poorly. Overall the pool and beautiful and is definitely functional just a small inconvenient fix which is unfortunate for the price. ... show more
