  • We enjoy this pool
I bought this Pool last year. It is bigger than I thought it would be. Not too difficult to assemble. It does take at least 2 adults to install. The pump works great too. The liner is thick so I expect this pool will last for years. The latter is worthless. We had to build a small deck with stairs to make it safe for my Autistic son. If you are looking for a larger above ground pool this is a great value. ... show more

  • Tips for set up that were not obvious!
Buried in the instructions are these things-first to prepare the ground if you’re not using concrete, you need pressure treated wood that is perfectly leveled under each u shaped leg. (This is on page 10 step 6 of the instructions). I wish I knew this when I had the ground perfectly leveled! I used a 35x20 pad with base rock, gopher wire and a top layer of fill sand. The next piece of critical information is that you need the pool filter sand before you can finish assembling the filter pump. Also buried in the instructions. And you’ll need two 50 lb bags. I learned this the hard way! And the last thing I wish I knew early on is that it does not come with the waste hose which you’ll need when it is time to backwash the filter. So buy one of those 10 or 15 foot 1.5 in hoses so you can attach it to the drain connection on the filter pump. So there you go. This took us definitley more than 90 min to assemble. Especially with the delays due to bad instructions. But now that the pool is up it’s amazing. The filter connections are leaking a bit but we just need to take those apart and figure out what’s going on. In the meantime we have a bucket underneath to minimize water waste. And having 2-3 adults to set up is especially helpful! I’d also make sure to test your water before the pool is filled-goto the pool store and get the starter chemicals so you can put those in as soon as the pool is full. It took us four days to fill it! ... show more

  • Read everything and watch YouTube videos
Pools so much fun but a lot of work. Is a great value for the money and work.

  • Overall very happy
The directions were terrible and didn't come close to explaining the filter but once we figured it out it went up fairly well. Overall very happy with the purchase.

  • Pool is great!
I love this pool. We decided against an inground pool and picked this one. 16’ x 32’ plenty of room for family and floating. I can do laps or just get on my float and relax. We decided on a salt pool and bought the Intex equipment for that and I am pleased with our choice. Setup took some time but wasn’t difficult not overly difficult. Pool seems very sturdy. ... show more

  • The polls are cheap metal
The pool liner and pump and filters are all good. The polls to keep the pool upright arrived bent because it’s made from a very flimsy , so we were only able to use the pool for a very short period before it stopped holding water.

  • Great Pool just be prepared to make a few adjustments
This is the 3rd Intex pool that I have owned. I have also owned traditional above ground pools that have seperate liners. These Intex pools are hands down far more superior to those. Only a couple of cons and that is that the ladders have always been, for lack of better words, Crap. They are very flimsy and wobbly which causes the screws to work loose easily. They are also very small and not made to acommodate adults. Not enough of an issue for me not to still think they are the best pools on the market but be prepared to purchase a better set of steps. Also the new design for the suction ports do not work well for vacuuming. Before there was just one and now they have split it into 2 that join at the hoses outside the pool. If they made a valve to replace the one that connects the 2 hoses together that could switch one side off it would work well but as it is there is not enough suction coming in from just one side to operate a vacuum properly. Those 2 things aside I highly recommend this product for durability, ease of set up and maintenance. ... show more

  • Difficult setup caused major mental insanity
It's nice but a pain in the you-know-what to set up. Instructions say 2 people can build it in a couple hours. Poles are poor quality and SNAP during setup, which also breaks the plastic connector buttons. Does not come with the sand for the filter AND doesn't have you set up the ladder until the end, which wouldn't be a problem if the instructions didn't explicitly say to get into the pool to set up the sides leaving you with no way to get out. It also waits until the middle of setup to say you'll need 15"x15" "pressure treated lumber" under EVERY leg. Ummm... I use to work at Home Depot. 15" PT lumber isn't readily available. Just buy 16"x16" pavers instead. I will never build another pool in my life because of how much this one drove me to the brink of insanity. Instructional videos online are minimally helpful at best. Only plus is the customer service people when filing a warranty claim for replacement pieces are really nice and easy to work with. ... show more
