I haven't had this pool long enough to give a review on longevity but as far as putting it together, it was pretty easy. I definitely recommend two people but one person could probably do it. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE GROUND LEVEL. DO NOT SKIP THIS IMPORTANT STEP. I have no doubt this thing will last for several years because I prepped before I put it up.

Overall this is a great value and durable pool. I love the look and the sand filter seems top tier. However I'm still on the fence about the filtration system design on one item. Regarding the two inlet covers inside the pool that push the water to your skimmer they are proper size but they are perforated caps with very small holes. Ok so what does this mean. This means only water passes through. This renders your skimmer modestly useless. Your water will remain clean but debris leaves, sand anything else will not fit through and you will have to manually clean your pool or spend around $400 more on a really good vacuum. To which the skimmer assists tremendously with that task. I may be able to purchase something to bypass this set back and if so probably cheaper than the expensive vacuum. If i do I will update.

We recently set up the INTEX Ultra XTR Frame 14ft x 42in Round Above Ground Swimming Pool Set in our backyard and it has honestly been one of the best additions for the summer. The pool feels very well-made and much more solid than some of the typical above-ground pools I’ve seen before. One thing that really stood out was how easy the setup was. The Easy Lock System makes a big difference because the frame pieces simply snap together. There are no complicated parts, no locking pins, and no special tools needed. With two people working together, the frame went up quickly and smoothly. From opening the box to having it ready to start filling with water took around 45 minutes, which was faster than I expected for a pool this size. The frame itself feels extremely sturdy. The galvanized steel construction with powder coating gives it a strong, durable feel and should help prevent rust over time. Once the pool is filled, everything feels stable and secure. The liner is also thick and well-made. The 3-ply PVC material feels durable and resistant to punctures, which is important when kids are constantly jumping in and out or playing around the pool. It definitely feels like it’s built to handle plenty of summer fun. The included sand filter pump is another great feature. The Krystal Clear sand filtration system does a really good job keeping the water clean and clear. The 6-function valve makes maintenance simple, whether you’re filtering, backwashing, or rinsing the system. Once everything is set up and balanced, the water stays crystal clear with minimal effort. I also really like that this set comes with everything you need to get started. The ladder is sturdy and easy for kids and adults to use, the ground cloth helps protect the bottom of the pool, and the cover is useful for keeping leaves and debris out when the pool isn’t in use. Having all those extras included saves time and money since you don’t have to buy them separately. Overall, we’re extremely happy with this pool. It looks great in the yard, feels strong and reliable, and provides hours of fun for the whole family. If you’re looking for a high-quality above-ground pool that’s easy to assemble and built to last, this one is definitely worth considering.

I moved into a new rental house that didn't have a pool in the back yard but did have a relatively flat and large back yard. I got this above ground pool system since I'm going to be here for at least one summer so I could go swimming in the back yard. I just set it up and filled it with water now that Dallas weather is up in the 70s (yes I know it's February but since we had our one winter storm of the year, I'm assuming there won't be another winter storm in the area). Assembly really takes a couple of people. I found the most level spot in the back yard and placed the ground cloth included in the kit. Interestingly, the ground cloth is square but the pool is round. It would have been nicer if the ground cloth were also round to match the pool. The galvanized steel frame feels really sturdy and heavy duty. The PVC liner is very heavy duty. I have a couple of Dalmatians that have pretty long front claws. They have used the side walls of the pool to do their "stand up stretch" where they basically push their front paws against the side walls and no punctures, no scratch marks, and no damage. I ended up using some pool filter balls rather than sand in the filter and those seem to work well so far after a couple of weeks. I figured it was easier to try out the pool filter balls first and if I didn't like the way they performed, it would be easier to replace the balls with sand than the other way around (e.g. 3 lbs of filter balls vs. 100 lbs of sand granules). Pump seems to do a good job moving water from the pool to the filter and then pushing it back into the pool. The kit comes with a ladder, which I found to be kind of cheap frankly and I may look for an alternative this spring when pool use starts increasing. The cover fit perfectly and works great at keeping out leaves. You will need to get a floating chlorinator as that is not included in the kit. And if you want the interior to be lit, you can get floating battery operated rechargable lights as well, as lighting is not included.
