    • Just a Couple of Things.
A bit pricey but after asking around it seems to be the battery you want to have under your hood. I had no battery in my 2018 4Runner for about 30 minutes while making the switch and the only thing that needed to be reset was the cabin clock. No "Memory Saver" was used. Also, Interstate says the battery fits a 2018 4Runner but Amazon says that it doesn't fit a 2018 4Runner. Well, I found that the Interstate battery was just a bit shorter than the stock battery I was replacing. As a result I couldn't tighten down on the battery retaining screws enough to hold the battery securely in place. I'm sure that there are 1000 ways to take up the slack but what I did was purchase a piece of black hose and using a box cutter I cut two "U" shaped pieces each about five inches long. I positioned them over the front and rear edge of the battery that are under the battery clamp and tighten down on bolts. It worked perfectly. ... show more

    • Battery arrived damaged
This is a great battery and my previous one lasted almost 8 years (2013 acura rdx, northeast). My issue is with Amazon delivery. The battery wasn't packaged correctly and was tossed around inside the oversized box they placed it in causing corners to get pushed in and crack one. At this point it would be safer to buy it directly from interstate as to avoid any shipping damages. ... show more

    • It's a battery...lol
I put this in my 4Runner as it has (aftermarket) remote start, and last winter, would have issues with the aging battery that it had. Straight out of the box, and with less CCA than the battery it replaced, I noticed faster cranking and quicker starts after installation. We'll see how it holds up as this vehicle finds itself off road in the woods almost more than it is on road which is another reason I wanted to go AGM. ***update *** a year and a couple months later, battery has a dead cell, reached out to interstate for the warranty, will update accordingly once I hear back. **update 2** Had to take the battery to the Interstate service center near me, since the battery was under nominal voltage, they said they had to charge it before they could test it, so a loaner battery was provided, and 2 days later, they replaced my battery because it had a dead cell and wouldn’t charge past about 8V. Moved the rating back to 5 stars, while not an ideal means because of their location near me, they honored their warranty no questions asked. ... show more

    • Failed after six months
This battery failed after less than six months in my 2016 Tundra. Only showing 6 volts and won't take a charge. Past the return window so a hassle to get it replaced since I bought it at Amazon.

The battery was a little banged up in shipping. It was packaged in a large rectangular box with some brown packing paper around it. Not too worried about it because it is a sealed AGM. The voltage was 12.66 right out of the box. I'm using this in a newer Toyota Tundra and it fit just fine as a replacement for the OEM Toyota battery. The cold cranking amps for the factory battery was 550, so this one being at 800 CCA is more than enough for a large truck. I will say the battery is very heavy weighing in at 47 pounds, so be prepared to lug it around and into the engine bay of whatever vehicle you're installing this into. After driving around for a few hours and sitting parked for about 2 days the voltage has settled at 12.54 volts, but I'm sure it will take some time to get it fully charged up. ... show more

    • 48 mo warranty has got a built-in timer 48 mo's will no longer hold a charge
2000 Suzuki Vitara original wet Batt had 1000 cca lasted 15 yrs tied optima only batt close to factory lasted 1& a half yrs replaced under warranty 2nd one lasted 1yr replaced that with interstate 34R mtz but still not up to factory batt lasted 48 mo's before not holding a charge kept on batt maintainer when parked have managed to get one more year but won't start my V6 after sitting 1 day ... show more

This is your standard Group size 34 but with a "R" designation, which simply stands for REVERSED terminals (+ and - terminals are swapped). This AGM batteries specs are as follows: Interstate group 34 800 CCA 125 min reserve 63Ah. Make sure to check interstates website for fitment, as some people have had misleading results through AMAZONS fitment engine. Looking forward to a long service life with this battery. The battery is a bit pricey compared to others, but you do get what you pay for IMO. Plus many local shops are having trouble getting and holding batteries in stock, I just went through this issue with Pep Boys (aka Advance Auto Parts). ... show more
