Great cpu at the current prices. Be sure to bump up your turbo max power above 125 watt default. My AIO water cooled setup works with it at 165 watts and thermal boost set to 75C. All done in the Intel XTU software.

These are not Intel Box processors. These products are in fact tray processors. Tray processors do not have an Intel warranty. In fact, the one I received yesterday was used. There was thermal compound residue on the heat spreader. Screwed again, thank you Amazon

Even companies like Intel screw up sometimes. That's what happened with the 12th and 13th generation Intel CPUs, the ones that followed this 11th generation i9-11900K. There are detailed explanations for all that, which I won't go into. The bottom line is, because of chip design, current CPU coolers, and power requirements, it's very difficult and very expensive to get better real world performance from the 12th and 13th generation chips. This is why Intel is abandoning the LGA-1700 socket after just two years and starting over. In the meantime, AMD has taken huge chunks of market share, particularly in applications that operate near 100% current load. The i9-11900K or KF reached the optimal limit of the LGA-1200 socket. It has an excellent CPU cooling interface and will run all day long at a TDP of 170 watts, completely stable and reliable with 8 cores at 4.8 GHz.
