The media could not be loaded. Pros: -Great GPU for 4k 144hz monitors -Aesthetically well-designed card -Vapor chamber cooling -Doesn't use the 12vHP new cable connector that's controversial with cable & GPUs melting -Extremely quiet GPU -Comes with a support bracket -Adrenaline driver software is well thought out and well designed -Good Price to Performance in accordance to Nvidia's offerings (RTX 4080) Cons: -Is a wattage eater (not energy efficient on default settings) -Lacks ray tracing performance compared to Nvidia -AMD driver install can be buggy (used DDU and clean Driver install to get AMD drivers working properly). This is my first AMD GPU and I would like to state that it wasn't a very good experience on the install. I already removed my Nvidia drivers prior to this new AMD driver install. I had multiple errors on my driver installs so I had to do a complete Display Driver Uninstall and re-download & install AMD adrenaline software. Apparently, this is a normal occurrence with many AMD users so I caution to buyers that are Nvidia users. Just prepare for some hiccups on the install. Also, I play older games and it will just log you out of the game due to a bug crash. Quite annoying, tbh - Starcraft 2 and Age of Empires 3. I am not a brand loyalty specific person - I just decided this GPU is a better deal than a RTX 4080. I am a regular PC consumer that usual just buys what has worked for me in the past. The RTX 4090 is too expensive for my budget. Overall, I am pleased with the Sapphire 7900 xtx.     • Needed more video memory for 3 ultrawide screens .......
Ive been using 90% Nvidia gpu's for the better of 35 yrs , but Ive had it with Nvidia ceo and raping its customers . Ive decided AMD is looking good these days and Ive been happy since early Ryzen and SUPER happy with my 5900X rig for the last 18/24+ months that Ive desided to switch to an AMD gpu . ~ Basicly with the three ultrawide screens (7680x1440) I was going over the 12gi limit on my Evga 3080 FTW Ultra 12gig . I was not going over the 12 gig by much (so I thought, and proved otherwise) , but knew I was restricting myself visualy , in game FPS , etc . Likely any future usage might/WOULD be problematic . ~ Hence the 7900xtx Nitro , going by some other reviews , the xtx was a no brainer and the Nitro was told , built well , ran cool and quite was an added plus and a must in all respects . ~ To make a long story short .... The AMD 3 screen setup was a bit to get used to vs Nvidias 3 screen setup and Iam still learning on tweeking the screens to my liking , but I expected a bit of learning curve . ~ Ok , day one just try the card out ..... NICE! ....running quite , cool and wonderful on a few of my AAA games thus far and defiity going over that Nividia 12gig limit to a 17/18+ gig average of video memory wikth the XTX . ~ I think (I know) I made the righht choice to switch and the correct brand and version of the 7900XTX . ****** I must note though , the first 7900xtx Nitro was DOA (my first ever gpu doa over all these yrs ) I had Amazon send me another (kinda a pain as the changed how this used to be done) , but Got the new card the next day (thanks Amazon) , and the second Nitro fired up right away and in 15 minutes was up and running some test/games/etc. ~ *** Wish these cards had a 3 yr warranty instead of 2 , but I opted for the 4 yr after market warranty as I know 2 yrs is not enough and Ive learned not to always count on some companies on rma's being problem free , such as Evga's used to be all these years . Right now Iam very happy thus far even it only being day two of usage . ~ If anything major changes I will update . Wallet is definitly abit lighter , but I know its worth it for me and I should be more than ready for yrs to come . **** SYSTEM : Ryzen 5900x (on mild custom water loop), MSI Mag X570s , 7900xtx Nitro+ , Gskill 3600/18/ 2x32gig , Multiple Nvme/Sata SSD's , Creative AE5+ s/card , 3x 34" LG Ultrawides (in AMD EyeInfinity ) . Corsair 780T case . EDIT UPDATE : Ive now had the gpu for two months now and Iam still happy with my decision to sell my Evga RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 12gig and replace it with this 7900xtx . ~ Ive had a few problems , but nothing major or even closed to major . ~ Part of the problem was learning the best settings for the 3 Ultrawides as one , and a few other settings that were new/differant from my past Nvidia settings . ~ At this time all problems have been resolved/learned and all games have been rock solid since this review update . ~ Gpu does run nice and cool and quite (set at 50/55% fan at around 60 degree *c) and running at 7680x 1080p/1440p with all games running at its native rez with 120-160 fps on average . At this time I have ZERO regrets switching to an AMD gpu and happy as heck that I should be good for some time to come (including amount of gpu memory) ! *UPDATE 9/9/23 Card is still running great , no problems with latest driver update(s) , some games look even better at default resoltion . Latest installed 23.102 . ~ Not sure if I need update 23.11.1 . *UPDATE : 02/27/2024 Ok , eight months later with my Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx and ........     • Excellent performance in a cool and quiet package
Upgraded from an RTX 2080 and this card did not disappoint. Created a new build around this card with an i7-13700 processor in the MSI MPG 110r case (card fits perfectly, but may have issues if you want to put your AIO radiator in the front of the case, mine is on the top). Hardware: 10/10 Card worked flawlessly from the beginning and rarely touches 70C without going past it. Fans are efficient and quiet, no real coil whine (using 1000W MSI a1000 PSU). Love the grey aesthetic and the customizable RGB lightbar that doesn't look ostentatious. Software: 9/10 Sapphire Trixx boost is worth downloading and easy to use. Can quickly change Bios and GPU light color. Trixx boost also pairs well with Radeon Super Resolution (RSR). I personally like the Adrenaline software as well coming from Nvidia. It's easy to navigate, nice GUI, a lot of useful features like RSR (rivals Nvidias DLSS but can be applied to any game) and Virtual super resolution (can set individual monitors to have supersampling options.) Drivers: 8/10 Have had no significant issues with drivers thus far, but Nvidia updates their drivers more frequently. ... show more
