Great so far. Easy to use, easy to set up. The instructions were fairly clear and straight-forward, and installation was a breeze. The radio fit great once I removed the small tabs on the side (I probably only needed to do this because the aftermarket bezel I bought sucked but that's another story). It's much higher quality than expected, with a metal frame/casing for the detachable screen. The screen is also responsive and bright when I need it to be. My factory steering wheel controls worked without adapters or anythings. The Android Auto connects quickly and reliable without cables or wires and looks great. The company has also been responsive when I reached out for software updates and a branded UI to match my truck. My only wish is that the USB and AUX ports were on the back, so it would be easy to connect the factory outlets to them, but that's not a huge deal. I would definitely buy this radio or another from PLZ again.

So far the MP-928W unit has been great, especially for the price. Screen is amazing, sound clarity is better than expected (bass doesn’t have as much punch as previous Pioneer unit), super easy install. Contacted company through email for a boot logo (Toyota) and firmware update and received in a couple hours. Using ApplePlay and it connects fairly quick in a couple seconds. Screen is easy to see in the daytime and dims when lights are on, very crisp. Haven’t hooked up backup camera yet, but tomorrow I will. Only negative so far is the button placement of volume at bottom, they are more difficult to hit, but could be a simple adjustment to the brackets holding in unit. For the price it’s tough for even the big names to compete. Only time will tell.

Giving 4 stars for the overall unit. Built quality, clarity, hardware speed, UI, etc. Pros: This stereo functions very well. Fast: You can tell the internal hardware is beefed up. The unit is very responsive. The screen quality and clarity is great. The EQ features are decent and allow for intermediate adjustments. Plenty of inputs for different setups. The 4CH RCA input was the main motivator for the purchase. Install was easy. You will need to purchase a double din dash kit as well as the module to utilize your vehicles steering wheel controls. This is common and should not be looked at as a negative. I installed this without issue into my 2003 Silverado. Cons: If you are looking for a true Android based head unit that allows for plenty of freedom and accessibility such as: Theme Customization, File Manager, App Store access for utilizing apps, this unit is NOT for you. I do not like having to contact CS for software support and updates, though they were very responsive through their support page on Facebook Messenger. There is no WiFi / Hot Spot features which is a set back for me. Additionally, PLZ pushes the Screen mirroring features pretty hard ... You CANNOT stream Netflix, HBO Max, Peacock, Amazon Prime. The only thing I've been able to get working were apps that do not risk any type of Copy Right Infringement. CS confirmed that the above streaming apps would not work because of Copy Right Infringement concerns. I get it, but because of that and my need for such features (Use my truck to travel and have additional screens on my head rests). I need to be able to stream video as needed and don't like that this head unit restricts it. I did know going into the purchase that some of these things may be an issue but wasn't 100% on the extent. That said, I will have to return this unit. Conclusion: If you are just wanting a head unit with a larger screen, fast and dependable UI, Apple Carplay or Android Auto, multiple input options for your sound system, a decent EQ, user friendly and don't mind any of the cons listed above, then this unit is for you.

I recently installed the **PLZ 7" Wireless Double Din Car Stereo (MP-928W)** in my **Ford Expedition EL XLT**, and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the performance and features of this unit! #### 📦 **Installation Experience** The installation process was straightforward, but like with any aftermarket stereo, it required some effort to wire everything properly. I used **heat shrink tubing and soldering** to ensure a strong, long-lasting connection. The included wiring harness worked well, though I did have a couple of **unused wires** that the instructions didn’t mention (notably the **Blue/White wire**). The **Violet/White wire** was for the backup camera, which I figured out later. For mounting, I used the **Metra Double Din Dash Kit**, but it didn’t quite fit perfectly. I had to **remove the top plastic trim from the stereo and modify the dash kit** by cutting the four end pieces that were preventing the unit from sitting flush. This wasn’t an issue with the stereo itself—just a compatibility quirk with my particular dash kit. I also added a **USB 3.0 port** by replacing an old, unused **cigarette lighter socket**, which allowed me to neatly connect the rear USB cable from the PLZ head unit. #### 🎵 **Sound Quality – A Huge Upgrade!** My Expedition has a **premium factory sound system with a 160W amp**, and I used the correct wiring harness to retain my amp and **RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system**. The sound output is **phenomenal**! Deep, rich bass, crisp highs, and a well-balanced midrange. It’s a significant improvement over the factory stereo, and **Bluetooth 5.3** provides seamless, high-quality streaming with zero lag. #### 🚗 **Performance & Features** ✔ **Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto** – Works flawlessly! The connection is stable, and I haven’t experienced any drops or lag when using my phone. ✔ **QLED Touchscreen** – The display is **bright, crisp, and responsive**. It looks premium and feels like a high-end infotainment system. ✔ **Backup Camera Support** – I paired it with an **AHD 1080P wide-angle rear camera**, and the quality is great. Night vision works well too! ✔ **Custom Boot Logo & Firmware Update** – I reached out to PLZ via **Facebook**, asking if I could get a **custom boot logo for my truck** and a software update. **They responded within hours** and sent me exactly what I needed. That’s **amazing customer service!** #### 🛠 **Final Thoughts** This stereo is an **absolute steal for the price**! It has **premium features, excellent sound, and responsive customer support.** The installation took some effort, but that’s expected when upgrading any vehicle’s audio system. **If you're looking for a high-quality, budget-friendly double-din stereo with CarPlay, Android Auto, and great sound – this is the one to get!** Would I buy this again? **Absolutely!** 🔥 **Highly recommended!** 🔥
