This is a good little instantpot for a single person or small family. I'm kicking myself for not buying this while I was in college. I spend a lot less on buying food that can cook just as quickly as microwaving a bunch of stuff. The stainless steel internal pot is not as stainless as I would like, in that food very often sticks and gets stuck on it, but that can be dealt with. The star wars theme is just a sticker on the body of the external pot (no sound effects or anything). Mine didn't come with a moisture catcher, but those are pretty cheap to order. First thing I used this for was meal prepping for work. I cooked a whole chicken in it and then I cooked some potatoes in the broth. That was divided into 4 meals. Then I made hard boiled eggs. They came out perfect and easy to peel after I put them in the ice bath. My ex roommate had one, and I liked them, but now I live in a tiny studio, so I was hesitant to buy it. Black Friday came, so I thought it's the best deal of the year. I will figure out the space issue. I accidentally bought the 3QT version, simply because I had no idea there are different sizes, and did not pay attention. I am so happy I did. This is fantastic for a single person. It depressurizes in 15 to 20 minutes, unlike the big ones that take 40+ when you cook just for yourself. I'm not really a star wars fan but this 3 quart is pretty cool. Perfect size. So before you actually use it for cooking food you're supposed to run the pot through a pressure cook test cycle with 3 cups of water. Which it did fine with. But there was def some assembly grease or something that smoked/smelled bad. I recommend running the test cooks twice to get rid of the smokey smell as well as plastic smell. Cooked my first meal and made a bean and chicken soup, 30 min is spot on for dry pinto beans that were not pre soaked in water. I can see this being a big time saver as far as meal prep. 5 stars ... show more
