I had not purchased an inversion table despite being very curious for many years. For a long time they were very expensive and I didn't know much about them. Doctors don't usually recommend them. I have bad stenosis and for years have experienced daily back pain of varying intensities depending on the day. I had already had my three allowed cortisone shots for the year and if I couldn't manage the pain, next stop would have been back surgery as I would have had to wait almost a year before being able to get another shot. Out of desperation, I ordered this model as it was very reasonably priced, looked well made, and boasts it would accommodate 300lbs. I weigh in at about 265lbs. It takes a little bit to put it together but the instructions are good and everything you will need is provided. I was a little apprehensive as I didn't want to hurt myself on it. If you are new to inversion tables and or you are a heavier person, take it slow, real slow. Do your homework. The settings are 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 85°, & 90°. Start on the 15° or 30° settings for short increments. After a couple weeks or so, switch to 45° and so on. In the beginning, if you go immediately to coarse angles or use it for long periods of time, you may feel discomfort and your muscles will go into a spasm possibly making things worse. The moral of the story is take it easy. All of this being said, this machine was life-changing for me. It is not an end all be all cure, however it keeps me aligned and I feel about 1/4 of the pain I had before purchasing the unit. I know that if I am experiencing pain, I can get on this and it will immediately take the pain away and stretches out my aching muscles. This has allowed me to remain drug free. We have a large property and I need to be able to perform hard work and maintain mobility. I am 57 and have suffered with severe back pain for years. The very first time I used the machine, afterwards I felt 2" taller as I had been hunching over in my daily life. It stretches your upper as well as your lower back in places that are hard to stretch/flex by just doing excercises. The only downside is that it is not easy to transport or take with you when you travel as this unit and most others were not built necessarily for travel. This machine works so well, you will want to take it with you. I have found other pieces of equipment for traveling but none provide the relief that this table does. I would highly recommend this to anyone who can safely use it for their severe back pain. Just keep in mind that if your spine is really spasmodic and or kinked up, it may not be comfortable to use right away until everything gets stretched out. I experienced that at first but once I was able to relax those muscles, it is exillerating and I have to make sure I don't fall asleep on it as it is so comfortable and I look forward to it every day. I use it a lot before bed as after you stretch out your back, letting it relax as you sleep magnifies the effect in my opinion.     • Good For Back Pain. Ankle Support Needs Improvement.
I have this for 1 week now and my whole family gave it a try. I could say that it is very easy to assemble and use. I feel relieved on my lower and mid back and my sciatica when I use this for at least 2 minutes after sitting all day at work (I am a programmer). Before this, I have to adjust my desk so I can stand up as sitting for long hours makes it painful in my lower back. I noticed that I can actually sit longer now. I only adjust the desk height when I remember that I needed to stand up. The complains I have about this is the ankle brace does not hold you in place. It will be ok up to 15 degree tilt but over that you will drop between 2 to 4 inches depending if you are wearing a shoe or not. Once you drop then your height within the equipment change and it makes it harder for you to go back up. The table is supposed to use gravity that when you raise your arm the table should invert and you should be able to go back to standing position when you put your arms back to your lap. With this, I have to make a little adjustment on the height. I am almost 5'6" but if I have to set my height to 5' 8" so that I can invert and easily go back up after a full inversion just by moving my arms. If I set it to 5' 6", I will need to grab the handle and pull myself back up so make sure to have someone with you the first time you use this product so they can help you out if needed until you figure out the proper height adjustment for you. If you have a mid-cut or high cut rubber shoes, then this will help to keep you in place. I hope that Innova make a small change on the positioning or the size of the ankle support so that you do not slide down when you invert. ... show more

I believe this is the first product review I have ever written, but I felt compelled to. I am 61 years old, 6'3" and 230 lbs. I have suffered from chronic back pain for years. I do my own yard work, I sail frequently, basically I'm quite active. For the past few years I knew that after an active day, I was going to be on the heating pad that night. NO MORE! Santa Claus brought us one of these (the 9900 model) for Christmas. It took a couple hours to put together, but not too bad. I started out on the least incline for a few weeks, now I am at the second notch (60 deg I think). I have not thought about my back for weeks now. I hang myself 2 times per day now for only about 2 minutes. I feel like a totally different person. I highly recommend! ... show more

I used an expensive one of these tables on my friend's house for several times and decide to buy one for myself; I think the main purpose of the Inversion Table is to reverse/remove pressure from the lumbar vertebrae (spine) as well as all other joints in body and this table works great for that. There's no need to spend a lot on other ones. this is a good choice, for it has the lock to secure your feet in place when you're upside down! :)) There's also an Air Pillow for supporting the back and you can adjust the bump by the small pump. I can't be more satisfied and I really recommend it to everyone looking for an Inversion Table. ... show more

This was fairly easy for my husband to assemble, it would have taken me longer but he made it seem easy. I have been wanting one for several years and finally made the decision to get one because of my back pain. I used it for about 5 minutes and my back immediately felt better. I have only had this for 4 days and I have no more back pain. I use it 2-3 times a day for less than 5 minutes at a time and I cannot believe I waited so long to get one.
