I used it to drill some holes in my workbench to mount my vise, and it powered right thru 1-1/2" wood. worked well with my 8 gal compressor if used in spurts to keep up pressure. Good value for the money.

I bought this drill because I'm a fabricator and it runs excellent. All ir products are excellent and this drill does the job. My electric drill loves this drill because it gets a break. If you have alot of drilling or even just a few holes this drill will probably become a family heirloom. The design of the variation of speed takes getting used to only because if it gets set on something and some one kicks it it may be on a slower setting and you may think something is wrong. My buddy has a snap on and it is not much different except for the design and color. I will be getting the 90 degree ir soon. ... show more

For the price it's hard to beat. Variable speed control is smooth and predictable. Maybe not the king of the mountain in it's class, but will do the work you ask of it.

Well, after three attempts of purchasing, returning for a replacement, and returning again for another replacement, I can say that apparently the model with the handle air diffuser doesnt exist…that was a major selling point for me on this model which is why I bought it, but even after speaking with Amazon customer service, they still sent me this one without the handle diffuser. I bought Ingersoll’s 1/2” impact driver with the handle air diffuser also, and same result, again after three tries. So, if that’s something important to you, which I imagine probably is for many people, as it’s supposed to help blow the excess air away from you and your work site, thereby kicking up less dust that could potentially get in your eyes, lungs, sweaty skin etc, then you might have to just order directly from their website or something because you wont get that here. Otherwise though, seems like a solid piece of machinery. Haven’t used it yet, and since I’m going to be using it very close to the dusty pavement outside, I’m a little hesitant, but nonetheless, I have a job that needs to be done so I may update the review after completion. 2 stars lost though for product not recieved as advertised ... show more

I'm Extremly surprised at how long this drill has lasted. I've lent this drill to othet mechanics and used this drill everyday basically all day at work and its held up great. After a year the trigger started to stick open but a bit of oil on and around the trigger fixed that.
