10/10 would recommend for someone getting started and lack of garden space. I don't have too much room but wanted to try my hand at some usable greenery, these give clear instructions and all materials needed to get started. My photos show start point and what the plants look like after about 3 weeks of sitting in my window sill. Parsley and cilantro definitely were the early and steady bloomers for me but the other two are coming around. Super giftable with the cute box it comes in, gift wrap style inside. Good idea for someone tough to buy for, has a green thumb or even a secret gift exchange etc. One tip I realized that isn't in the instructions, the plants grow towards the sun and need to be rotated so they don't grow totally in one direction. You can see in mine the first two that grew more quickly I didn't follow this early on so they're a bit less stable than the other two sprouts that I've been doing this during the past week. Just something I didn't know starting out that would have been useful info but nonetheless this is a great kit. I may try out the pepper one next!

I was a little skeptical of this at first because I figured I could spend less by just buying pots and seeds separately, but it looked like a cute set and I'm trying to avoid in person shopping where possible so I figured I'd try it for the convenience. I started the seeds as directed and they've grown wonderfully. The picture shown is about three and a half weeks after planting (I used a grow light in addition to the natural light from the window). I had enough extra soil to start some other seeds I had laying around to put in the garden. My only issue has been that the soil seems to develop mold quite easily, particularly on cloudy days when the warmth from the sun isn't drying it as fast. The pots are great to start but I'm going to have to transplant them pretty soon to bigger pots. The wooden box was also damaged when it arrived. I was able to nail it back together but still an inconvenience. Overall, it's great. I'm excited to have herbs easily accessible in the house.

Great product! I was hesitant because some of the reviews but I bought this as a gift with my fingers crossed. It was the right idea. We planted all 4 seed types on 4/21/20 (after allowing seeds to soak 24 hours). By 4/25, the basil was already sprouting. Today is 4/29, and the other 3 plants are starting to sprout as well. It looks like the thyme is the slowest so far...only barely visible towards the edge but these seeds were also the smallest. I’m really impressed with this product. I will soon need to move them to bigger pots I’m sure...which is a great thing to be in need of. Totally fun, totally cute! If I can figure out how to attach a photo, I’ll do that.

I did receive the correct herb seeds, unlike several unhappy reviewers. All of the correct amounts were received as well. I love the little wooden box the set came in and the wooden sticks to label each herb are perfect. I’ll update my review when I can comment on how germination went. Just planted them today! UPDATE: all my seeds sprouted within 10 days :) a few of them started sprouting within just 3 days. I didn’t start them inside like many people do. I just planted them in small pots and kept them outside in the sun and watered them once a day. I used each whole pack per pot. My pots are used for herbs so they aren’t big. Maybe 4 inches in width. Highly recommend!

Just terrible---do not waste your money!! I bought 4 plants from Trader Joe's for 1/2 this price and they are doing great. While the idea of this is cute it does not live up to expectations. Only the cilantro attempted to grow but was not successful. Nothing else came up, soil molded. I have a large vegetable (20x40 ft) and flower garden in the summer and flowers and herbs on the deck. I usually bring my herbs indoors but for some reason did not this year. I think I was wanting it to take up less space so these seemed like a good alternative. As mentioned above, I garden so I don't believe the poor performance of this product was anything to do on my part. At a minimum, seller should send replacement seeds. I don't care about the other miscellaneous items in the kit. I will find a better soil and attempt a replant. Otherwise a refund would be appreciated. 1 star for the 'idea'
