We chose to mount the pole in the ground in quik Crete. We have alot of wind that probably would not have lasted long if we had mounted it on the driveway rather than beside it. After mounting in the dirt, the 10’ pole, which is regulation sz to play went to 7 1/2 feet😐not happy about that, but it is what it is!
