I work from a small home office that gets brutally hot by mid-afternoon, and central air just doesn't reach it well. I picked this up hoping it would take the edge off, and it's honestly exceeded what I expected for something this size. Setup was genuinely plug-and-play — filled the water tank, plugged it in, and had cool air within a couple minutes. I keep it about two feet from my face on the desk and it noticeably drops the temperature right in my immediate space, which is really all I needed since I'm not trying to cool a whole room. It has three fan speeds, and I mostly leave it on the middle setting while I'm working. On low, it's quiet enough that it doesn't interfere with calls or focus — more of a soft hum than a whir. High is great for a quick blast of cold air when I first sit down or after coming in from outside. The water tank lasts me most of a workday before I need to refill, and adding ice cubes makes a real difference on the hottest days — turns it from "pleasant breeze" into "actual relief." It's also nice that it's USB powered, so I'm not hunting for an extra outlet. Pure white color looks clean on the desk and doesn't look out of place next to my other electronics. For the price, this has become one of those small purchases that quietly makes my whole day better. Highly recommend if you need personal cooling rather than whole-room AC.

It cools very well in the 10ft x 10ft room I put it in for my girlfriend's office/study. The only down side so far has been the 0/10 quality hose to connect to the window. If you look at this thing funny it falls off the machine or the window. Then when you try to put the one end back on (it just screws back over the hose) the other one comes off and then you have to disassemble the entire window portion to get the little window clip back on the hose by itself then snap the clip back into the window kit and pray it doesnt come back off the other end. Once you get it in place dont ever touch it. Also make sure to keep the hoses on these as short and straight as possible because if it bends too sharply it restricts the airflow and it can burn up the unit. Oh and the hole in the window kit is oval shaped so it can be shorter I guess but the hose is a rather large 6" diameter hose. So to get the 6"diameter hose out of the 2" tall oval space there is a VERY steep angle that about 2/3 of the air has to hit and be directed downward to go out the window hole in the span of 1 or 2 inches. This could have been a better angle if the clip was longer in the Z direction (i.e. X is left and right, Y is up and down, and Z is coming towards you or going away from you as you look at the window). This may also have enabled a better attachment solution on that end of the hose (like some GLUE???) as the hose itself has no metal ribs inside of it to maintain structural stability which is probably why it comes out like once a day. The remote is basic but it gets the job done and I like that it doesnt have a screen on it that's constantly on like some other portable AC remotes ... Saves on batteries you know. It is pretty loud even on low (I have not gotten out my dB meter to test it) but its in an office now and going in the kitchen after shes done with school so the noise isnt a factor for me. If you've used one of these before then this one is brain dead easy to install and use. One thing I really like about it which could also be tweaked possibly in a future revision is the manually angled louvers. They go up a little past level so you can direct the air more upwards which as we all learned in science class is where the hot air is in a room... not at your feet like some other portable AC units I've had were aimed. The improvement would be to add the ability to aim the air side to side as well like in a car vent. Yes up and down is important but if I have to put this thing at an angle to keep the tube straightish and the air comes out at almost a 45 degree angle from the front (my guess is the design of the bird cage style blower fan causing that) then I'd like to be able to have that air blowing at me rather than the wall.

I’ve been using this 12,000 BTU portable AC for a while, and it’s been doing a solid job keeping the room comfortable. It cools the space pretty quickly, and the airflow feels strong even when it’s not running at full power. The noise level is surprisingly manageable — more like a steady background hum instead of the loud fan noise some portable units make. Setup was simple. The window kit fits well, and I didn’t need any tools to get everything in place. The wheels make it easy to move from room to room, and the adjustable vent helps direct the cool air where it’s needed. The filter pops out easily for cleaning, which is convenient if you use it daily. The WiFi control is a nice touch. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this little cooler, but honestly I’m impressed! It’s not going to replace your central A/C, but if you’re sitting at a desk, on the couch, or even using it by your bed, it definitely helps cool the area around you. It was also super quick and easy to set up. I had it running in just a couple of minutes. I like that it has three fan speeds, and adding cold water makes it feel even better. It’s also surprisingly quiet, which is a huge plus. The built-in night light is a nice little bonus too. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and simple to use. For the size and price, I think it does exactly what it’s supposed to. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a personal cooler to help beat the heat!

I've used the AC unit intermittently for 3 weeks--going back and forth on whether or not to return it for a refund. I only use the unit for 1-2 hours in the evening before bed. Pros: 1)Fairly easy installation. I had to cut the window kit since it I needed it to install in a single hung vertical opening window. 2)Customer service usually replies in 24 hours or less. 3)Price seems very competitive. 4)Reasonably attractive. 5)Reusable filter. 6)I have not needed to empty condensate water so far--but I don't use it for very long and the area averages under 50% humidity. Don't know what would happen if it was on for several hours every day or in a higher humidity area. Cons: 1)The instruction manual does not discuss how to install in a vertical opening window and it was necessary to cut the plastic window kit in order to fit the opening and have sufficient clearance for the exhaust hose hook up. 2)The AC is in an approx. 200 sf room with 8' ceilings. If the indoor temperature is 77 degrees, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to lower the temp to 70 degrees. It feels like fairly cold air from the vent, but seems to take a long time to lower the temperature in a closed room. 3)By far the most negative aspect is the noise level. Even though it is advertised as 'quiet' around 45 dB, my use of the NIOSH phone app shows 80-90 dBs when the fan is on the high setting (only low and high is available). I even wrapped the entire exhaust hose with insulation and it had no effect on the dB levels. I could never sleep with the unit running, so I just try and cool the room and then turn on my quiet DREO fan. 4)I was/am concerned about heat infiltration from outside when the unit is not running. Customer service said they would send a magnetic cover to block the vent when not in use. Instead they sent a velcro RV rear window cover. I contacted them since I thought it was an error--but they insist it is a solution. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so I asked them how that would work as a solution. No reply. It seems obvious to me that the only way that would help at all is to remove the window kit from the window frame and use the cover on the window. And that is just stupid since I could lower the existing blinds if the window kit and exhaust hose were removed.

I am extremely happy with this little portable cooler! I purchased it to help keep a small area of our RV more comfortable during the warmer months, and it has exceeded my expectations. The size is perfect—it doesn’t take up much room, which is important when you’re living or traveling in an RV, but it still does a great job providing cool air right where you need it. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works for personal cooling and small spaces. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and simple to set up and use. I can place it on a table, countertop, or next to where I’m sitting and immediately feel the difference. The design is also very nice and modern, making it look much more expensive than it actually is. While I wouldn’t expect a unit this size to cool an entire large room, it works wonderfully for a small room, office area, RV, or personal space. It’s quiet enough that it doesn’t bother me while relaxing, reading, or watching TV. I also appreciate that it doesn’t take up valuable storage space when not in use. Overall, this has been a fantastic purchase and exactly what I was looking for. It’s cute, compact, effective, and perfect for RV living. I would definitely purchase it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable personal cooler for a small space. Great value for the money!
