Constructed from quality materials and runs like a champ! Will buy again should this one fail. Easy installation for anyone who’s worked with pvc pipe. This pump has a cord you plug into an outlet. I needed it hardwired so off with the plug and wired into the timer. Pump is great value for the money!

FINAL REVIEW--After contacting the company, they sent me a new pump. The cooling fan on the back of the new motor was cracked during shipping, but I just pulled the fan off the old pump and mounted it on the new one. The new pump has been working great. High pressure (10-15psi more than the original one!), quiet, and so far reliable. I am impressed with the customer service response. I am leaving off one star because of the debacle with the original pump, but overall I am pleased. SECOND REVIEW--after a month, the pump moves a fraction of what it did after installation. My pop-up cleaner jets no longer fully extend, and are too weak to clean the pool. Lack of effective circulation is causing all sorts of expensive water quality issues. Extremely disappointed. I guess you get what you pay for--there's a reason this is a fraction of a quality pool pump. I highly recommend AVOIDING this pump. FIRST REVIEW: Installation was easy, and the pump runs quietly. I don’t expect this pump to last forever, but at under 200 bucks, I can’t say I care. Overall satisfied. We shall see if it lasts!

Pump works great! Bought it for our coleman above ground pool and it definitely has some power. our pool is above 1000 gallon and the pump it comes with just doesnt keep up but this new pump is definitely an upgrade. Would recommend and super easy setup.

Bought the 2.2 HP version of this pool pump. Needed to hire someone to modify the plumbing since this unit is shorter than the Pentair that it replaced, and also the union connectors were not exactly the same as what the Pentair used, so those had to be changed out also. The old Pentair motor was also 2.2 HP, so I figured that this motor would be a comparable replacement. However the water flow with this Bomgie pump it is noticeably weaker than the 2.2 HP Pentair it replaced. The Pentair would get the water pressure up to 25 PSI on the filter media, but this Bomgie only gets it to 15 PSI. The flow of the water is very slow compared to before. This pump is not pumping 6950 GPH as described, it is hardly pumping anything at all. The in pool vacuum doesn't work as well as before because the suction is less than before. This pool pump is a disappointment. I should have stayed with the name brand one I had before. Live and learn. Update: less than a week after installation Motor that was underwhelming when installed is failing now, it pushes only 5 PSI now. It barely moves any water at all, the water flows back into the pool as a trickle only. I can't believe how bad the quality is of this item is. Returning it to Amazon for a refund. Stay away from this brand. It really looks like any positive reviews you see for this pump are fake reviews.

It almost never happens that a new plumbing part fits exactly where the old one was, but in this case, I was pleasantly surprised that it did, and installation was a breeze. I like the power of this pump (3 hp instead of the original 2 hp), with the added benefit that it is much quieter too. Seems like a good quality product at a great price.

Was very quiet pump... but wasnt strong enough to pull in water 17 feet away inground and above ground as we tried both. Up close works great farther than 10 feet not so much on high or low. Odd thing was it was the same HP as our last unit just different maker. So we are returning and stepping up to next level in hopes it will be enough to pull water 17feet away. You will need pvc glue the black part to pvc nearnest pump out to sand filter. The rest i used the screw on 1.5 adaptor with rubber seals for tight fit and leak proof so in future when pumps break faster to replace and helps too contol leaks and keep pressure.
