I've used these pans daily for two months now and continue to be impressed by the nonstick cooking surface. While I would say it is average at best for browning meat, it may be that I haven't completely learned the best heat and time required for the different meats. Don't get me wrong, it can brown meat fabulously but you may need to adjust your past ways. Browning meat aside, these are well built pans. They are considerably heavier than the nonstick pans you may have been using but much lighter than cast iron. They appear two be a cast iron bottom heat surface with a nonstick cooking surface seamlessly mated together. The handles appear to be solid - maybe aluminum - and are securely fastened by two hefty rivets. The cooking surface is very slippery which probably necessitates the dimpled surface. In fact, the nonstick is so slippery, you could simply wipe the skillet interior clean immediately after cooking (the warmth helps) and you wouldn't know you had just cooked in it. I can't speak for the durability, but after two months of daily use they still look like new. I do recommend highly these pans if your budget allows it.

The headline says it all. These are the best skillets I've ever used. Even Heating, great retention, and completely non-stick with minimal oil. Lighter than traditional cast iron but has some heft to it for sure. I was very surprised at how cool the metal handle stayed and cleaning was a breeze. If you are looking for a truly non-stick skillet that you will be able to pass down to your children this is the one. My only regret is that I didn't get the 12" pan as well. I will be grabbing it soon.

I really like these skillets. They are a little heavy but manageable. They are nonstick as well. I don't have to use any oil when cooking meat. I've cooked pork chops and lamb chops so far and they came out great. They always stuck in my old ones. They're also really sharp looking. You do need to decrease cooking heat because they do heat up quickly. I hand wash mine because it's easier since nothing sticks to them.

Still in the honeymoon phase with my 12-inch skillet after two days of use. Works flawlessly so far to perfectly prepare eggs and bacon to order. Clean-up requires only a quick rinse at the sink, a wipe with the kitchen towel, and the pan is spotless and ready for its next job. Love it!
