We have been using these pans for a few months now and really like them (especially when we don’t want to use the cast iron). The pans are well built and have a girthy weight to them. Frying eggs in them is extremely difficult because they slide around so much (that’s sarcasm). But the non stick is superb. I even tried frying an egg with no butter. It still didn’t stick but it tasted not that good. Not going to try that again. They are extremely easy to clean and heat up evenly throughout the entire cooking portion. I don’t remember how much these pans cost nor to I really care. Whatever it was they were completely worth it.

I bought these 2 sizes (10' & 12"), tried them, liked them, and then purchased the 8 inch. Understand, these really are cast iron skillets, and they really are non-stick. They are cast-iron heavy. They don't have the dangerous non-stick coating that you don't dare heat too much like other coated or "granite" coverings. The non-stick characteristic comes from the design of the surface, which really works. You can sear meat and vegetables and meat at high temperatures that all the non-stick skillets I've tried can't do. You can wash them in the dishwasher (the paperwork says it will make the handles look bad... I don't care.). The bottom of these are very rounded though; almost like a wok. The flat part of the base of every one of these is smaller by about 20% to 30% than my other non-stick or cast-iron skillets. That means that even in the largest skillet, the steaks that I sear need to be a little smaller than I cooked in my previous skillets, in order to fit flat upon the bottom without sliding up the side. Is it a deal breaker? Not really; the advantages outweigh this disadvantage. Also, keep your old lids. These accept standard size lids.

This is the greatest non-stick pan I have ever used. I just wish I knew what kind of coating they use and hope it is not Teflon. We will also have to see how long the coating lasts.

The pans are great; heavy duty with quite a bit of heaft. The bigger pans might be hard for some people to hold up due to the weight. The textured bottom is nice; food cooks evenly and quickly in these pans. Unfortunately, none of that means anything when the nonstick coating started peeling within the first 2 or 3 months of owning them. We hand wash them with a sponge or towel and don't use metal utensils on the pans, so the coating coming off already is completely unacceptable. I'm not a picky person whatsoever, but it scares me to use these for cooking, not knowing how much of whatever unknown chemicals we may be consuming in our food because of this issue. I really, really want to like these pans. They are great otherwise.
