That’s right. Five stars! My husband needs a hip replacement, and is in constant pain until his surgery. But it is not scheduled for five more weeks because of a Cortizone shot that he got. So we decided to make lemons out of lemonade, and get a mobility scooter for him so we can get out-and-about. FRESH AIR! This scooter from HOBIK is awesome! It has a basket, a light, and a horn, and it goes the perfect speed for when I am walking next to him. It even has a “ turbo” speed in case you need to go up a little hill. The charge lasts a long time. This scooter is a game changer for him for now; and after he gets this surgery. The price is phenomenal. I looked into renting one and it was even more than that what I paid. The battery can be pulled off to make it lighter, and it could be folded up to put in the back of my jeep.     • Do not purchase the scooter because it is too heavy especially if you are handicapped.
The scooter is extremely heavy and impossible for a person to lift into a car for transportation. The description does not state the weight of the scooter. The company refuses to pay for the shipping costs of its return. Also they refuse to pay for UPS to pick it up since it is too heavy for my husband and I to return it. We are both handicapped. Couldn’t be happier with my Hobik scooter. I was not sure what to expect as the price was very reasonable and I was afraid I might not get the quality that I needed for that low of price. Right out of the box I put the Hobic scooter through the paces. We had a week long trip to Disney World planned and it was the perfect test for my new scooter. Assembly was done in 15mins and then myself and my wife were able to lift it into the trunk with no problem. We are 69 years old and I have a lung condition which makes walking difficult. For six days and nights I rode it around the parks. After a full day of park hopping the battery wasn't even half way used. I did purchase the larger battery option and would recommend it if you plan on using all day, and into the night. Charged it while we slept and in the morning it was good to go. It’s not a speed demon but definitely performed as advertised reaching 4.5 mph and handling inclines effortlessly. We were able to maneuver on and off the Disney busses with no problems at all. I weigh 335 pounds and it is no problem at all. Now I use it for short trips. The battery can be removed and charged, so I can take it out and charge it separately, which is very convenient
