    • There's Only One Reason to Buy This
There's only one reason why you should order this espresso maker. And that's because you need an espresso maker, and you want to spend as little money as humanly possible on it. End of story. If you were to compare this espresso machine to others that cost two or three times as much money, it's a 2-3 star product. It's cheaply made, it's probably cranked out in the same factory that makes SOWTECH espresso makers (they look identical), just with a different brand name slapped on it. But it works. More importantly, it's literally the cheapest espresso maker of its kind that you're going to find on Amazon. It's $45, with a $10 coupon option you can check off, that's near the price (they take the $10 off at the final checkout step). So $35.99 is all you'll pay, before tax. You will simply not find a similar steam espresso maker with a frothing wand on Amazon for less. It will not work as well as other espresso makers. It feels cheaply made. It's not super durable. But if you already know that you're getting an espresso maker for only thirty six bucks, then you won't be let down when it eventually stops working. And for that reason, it doesn't deserve a negative review. If you need a vehicle for emergency reasons, and someone offers you a 1992 Sentra with 200,000 miles for only $500, you can't complain about it when it doesn't perform like a new car. That's why I'm rating it four stars - because of the bang for your buck factor. It's cheap, but it will serve its purpose for the time being. And the only reason you'd even be reading this now is because you need one, but don't want to spend $55-$100 on a name brand one. Only reason I can't give it a full five stars, is because it's obviously lacking in giftability. Sure, you can gift it to someone. But it's not a Mr Coffee. Which obviously costs more, but is a recognized brand, and would be better received as a present. If I REALLY wanted an espresso maker and didn't have one, and someone gifted me this one, I'd probably be happy. But I'm just clarifying that you'd be gifting someone a cheapo coffee maker, and they'll probably figure it out after the first couple of uses. So, bottom line. Should you buy it? Simple question: Are you trying to get an espresso maker for less than $40, or just as little money as possible? Then the answer is yes, order it. Is it within your budget to get something in the $70-$100 range instead? Then get something else. We use it at my Mother in Law's house, which is also on our land. We'll keep using it, until it's not longer usable. We don't regret ordering it, because I knew in advance from the price that it was going to be a lower-quality machine. The media could not be loaded. Unit is easy to use. Directions are sufficient. Could use a milk frothing pitcher to complete the set. Not a bad price. Leaks half the time - not sure if it's my error or a problem with the machine.

Ths Ihomekee Espresso Machine is a great basic espresso brewing machine. Perfect for a small kitchen counter but not lacking in features needed to brew a completely perfect espresso complete froth and steamed milk. The compact size does limit you to up to 4 cups at a time. Out of the box assembly was simple with only 4 main parts; the brewer, funnel, 4 cup carafe and a grounds spoon with built in damper. With care and well written instructions to guide me I was able to make my very first set of servings including froth milk using the built- in steaming wand. Due to its ease of use and small space requirement I would recommend this product for basically any kitchen. Though there are many larger machines on the market I would not be sure the final result of the espresso would be much different. ... show more

This espresso machine makes FABULOUS beverages AND doesn't take up two-thirds of your countertop!!! At approx. 10.5 wide x 7.5 deep, it's a great gourmet option that isn't a counter hog. I LOVE being able to whip up frothy espressos at home. And this machine doesn't require a two-hour training seminar to figure out how the darned thing works. THAT is pretty darned awesome. The media could not be loaded. If you have done research on espresso machines with a Milk Frothing Function and Steam Wand, there is a huge range of prices. In fact, they are pretty expensive. This machine is within the lower price range and the quality is comparable to its price point. The plastic is just not as sturdy as the high-priced machines but this espresso machine worked as expected. It was easy to use once you read the directions. I would definitely recommend using a filter with the coffee because the holes in the filter are rather large and the water moves through the portafilter very quickly. Other than that, this is a great machine for those first-time espresso machine owners to see if they will use it often. ... show more
