Item arrived and I followed the instructions on cleaning. Put water in to max, and plugged it in. It made noises that I assumed was just the setup process, but I could never turn it on or select ice size. I unplugged for a bit and thought maybe it still needed to settle in (they say to leave it level for at least an hour for the refrigerant to settle before plugging it in). Tried again. The power switch came on, but the warning light for “add water” was on, despite it being full. Then the unit just died.... This is the third countertop ice machine we’ve had in 2 years. Seems they don’t make these of high quality. I thought the Igloo brand would be better. Also note, the capacity in the ice bucket is smaller than implied. Our first machine was about 1/3 bigger.

In Arizona in the summers, the refrigerator never seems to be able to keep up with our ice needs. Literally been thinking about getting an ice maker for years. Glad to have finally pulled the trigger! This little gem makes ice pretty fast and can get us through most of the day for four people and pets that get iced water. Pros: ice is fast, volume is reasonable and even unfiltered, the ice tastes good. The stainless steel unit is attractive and a solid piece of equipment. Cons: Will not keep the ice- as ice- so if you don't use the ice within about a 1-2 hour period, it melts and regenerates back into the water. It's a bit loud- not really a con, just thought it was worth mentioning. Large footprint. Overall, I do recommend this unit if your stand alone fridge is not keeping up with your ice needs. I plan on keeping this out during all summer.

As I opened the box and saw the icemaker my first thought was, this is COOL. After reading instructions I was eager to try it and thought, you need to CHILL.so I added water and hit the start button. ICE water ran through my veins as I eagerly awaited the results. A very short time later I heard the sound, I slowly raised the lid only to be met with the ICY stare of a basket of little CUBES COLDLY looking back at me. I stood FROZEN in awe at how fast it worked. It truly made me SHIVER.

When I got this for our office, I thought, "This is way too small. This isn't going to work." HOW WRONG I WAS! This little ice-maker really cranks out the ice, in record time. And it just keeps making ice cubes until tray is full. The moment the tray has room again, it starts cranking out more ice cubes. We've been happy and impressed with it. I see they make a 3 quart version now which might be better for the office environment, but for a household, this is just the right size. For those wondering, you pour water into it. It doesn't have to be 'connected' to a water line. Just plug it in, fill the reservoir with water, turn it on, and watch how quickly it starts to produce ice cubes. Another neat feature? As the cubes sit there, they inevitably melt a bit over time. The water goes to the reservoir so it can make more ice cubes. Simple! Smart. I liked it so much, I bought a second unit for my home.

The media could not be loaded. (June 30, 2021) First time using this machine. Followed the "before use" instructions and so far this ice maker is running smoothly. No issues what so ever. It is very quiet and fast. I just scoop them up and put them in my freezer's ice bucket. I'm very impressed. Why haven't I heard of these machines before? Made a hyperlapse video, to show it making ice...if anyone is interested. Anyway, I'll update if any issues come up.

This was two days ago....now the machine doesn’t work. It shuts itself off. Ice made melts, total pain. Planning to return. The rest of this is what I wrote a few days ago. This is how fast it went downhill. PREVIOUS POST. Have had a few different machines and decided to try igloo. So far, not too thrilled. There is a glad on the ice tray that keeps it from overfilling. Downside is it only holds enough ice for about 2 glasses. The ice melts down quickly. It is ok...but would not rate above that and would not purchase again.

This machine is wonderful, and believe it when they say it can make 33 lbs. of ice per day (24/7 operation), although that's a bit much. At $2.00 per bag for ice, this baby will pay for itself after awhile. Usually in about an hour's time, the hopper is full of ice, enough to fill 4 12 oz ice tea glasses, just to give you an idea. And I suggest running purified water through it so calcium deposits won't be an issue. Vey highly recommended, would buy again!
