  • Coverage and motion detection
Color: White
I can't call any of the following things dislikes, only, things to know. If you want to record more than 10 seconds to the cloud, then either pay the extremely reasonable fee for upgraded digital storage (which is what I did) or be sure to have a compatible SD card ( which I have also added as a back up and to check functionality). When I received the device, it did require an initial charging period, which was not surprising. Pros: (so far there are quite a few) Let me start by saying that my experience with these doorbell cameras extends to Arlo and Ring units that I have had or that my significant other has. The app is easy to use and very similar to Ring so an easy adjustment. The connection to the camera is pretty quick if I just want to check on things and the alert for motion detection comes within a couple of seconds of someone walking through the trigger area that I was able to set up. You can set it's sensitivity to motion, types of shapes such as animals or people, and the area that will cause the camera to engage. So, the free web backup and SD card are a great option if you don't want to have another monthly or annual subscription. It is pretty simple to unmount the camera and pull the SD card for review but it can't be at instant access and, with the service there is no chance for the memory card to fail. My girlfriend pays over 40% more for the same service and, so far, I cannot see much difference in picture quality, replay access, or function. It is a bit big but, for me, that tells someone that there is a camera watching and so I don't mind the bigger size. Durability... I dropped it in hardwood and nothing came apart and it still functions so, accidental drop test, lol. This unit is solid and, since it can be mounted with either screws or double sided tape, I was able to mount his on the doorframe to my apartment with no problems from management. The intercom functions well although, I had to figure out the access after someone rang the doorbell but that is just learning different software and not a problem. As my breezeway is well lit, I can't speak on thight vision but I am at the end of the corridor and I can clearly see the 40 feet to the end. You can change your voice which is pretty cool if you want to pretend to be a man to fool a stranger or to be a clown to mess with the neighbor kids. Wireless indoor bell is easy to get up and works as it should. Great product, more affordable than Ring from the product to the video service cost, equal quality in my opinion as far as function, and less expensive bit of peace of mind... Thanks! ... show more

  • Awesome
Color: White
This is the best camera for a low cost. I needed an inexpensive, wireless doorbell camera that would record on motion and mount without damaging because I live in an apartment. I used double sided outdoor TRex tape. This brand ALSO has wireless rechargable outdoor cameras for the same price that I mounted at my other doors. Battery: the charge lasts forever. I've had to charge this one time over the last 2 months and there's pretty heavy traffic as I live in an apartment. I still haven't had to charge the other 2 cameras I got for the other doors. App and install: Simple. Set up was easy after I downloaded the app. I pay $8.99/month for unlimited storage through the app for this doorbell and 2 outdoor cameras. The app is easy to navigate. You can customize the alerts and notifications. You can make it sound and alarm and spotlight. It's good. There is a slight lag. Like 3 seconds maybe from when a person walks in front of it before it starts a recording but that's not an issue at all. Sometimes it will take my phone up to 30 seconds to load the live feed, but other times it's instant. Again, not an issue for me at all. Night vision is good. Video quality good. It alerts when there are people outside but not with cars passing or the random cats and squirrels. Also great. I highly recommend this if you're wanting peace of mind security without the high cost of some of the other brands. Especially if you want different types of cameras all linked on one app. ... show more

  • Good Value for the Price Point
Color: Black-5MP
The media could not be loaded. I am providing 4.5 stars based upon the value for the price point. If this an expensive security camera, I would had a different expectation and rating but considering the cost it serves its purpose well. Pros: - This updated version has an easier mechanism to remove the camera for charging vs the old camera that had a special torx bit and screw that one can drop and lose. - Updated version of this camera comes with the type c charger vs type A which is great since everything is moving to type c. - Camera clarity is good for non-moving objects both night and day (moving objects especially at night will not be as clear - see attached video) - I like that is has SD card so you don’t have to pay for monthly service charges and can download your photos of vides. - Setup of the camera to the WIFI or App has been very easy and solid but does require 2.4 Ghz only band - 2 way communication is manageable; there is some lag but not a feature I use much. Cons - - Battery life in cold weather climate is 2-3 weeks vs 1-2 months as stated in the manual (which also states that cold weather will decline battery life. I was hoping that this new camera which has a larger body size as the old one would have added a larger battery pack but it did not so not sure this will be improved over my old door bell. I prefer ac powered cameras as they are always on and don’t miss any of the start of motion like battery cameras have and this one is similar where you miss part of the first motion. - False alarms for bugs and birds are typical even with human motion only setting and low settings. I have never owned a brand named model camera to know if their human motion is better or not but false alarms should be expected. - App works well except for the delay when a notification is sent to your device. When you get notified of an alarm and open the app to select the video preview it shows the 1st video alert that occurred first starting after 12 am instead of the one that created by the most recent alert notification. I am learning that there is a time delay when the system is able to connect the alert with the right video. If you wait a while until you try to watch the video for the most recent alert notification then it will play the right file. This is not ideal. ... show more
