If you print a lot, then this is not the printer for you. But, if you print sparingly, or need may need a printer when you're on the go, then this may a good solution for you. This printer does support a full-sized 8.5" x 11" page, which is a key factor for me. It functions well, when it works, as it is dependent on you connecting to it with the app. If you can't get the app to work or connect, then you're out of luck. Personally, I haven't had many issues, but sometimes the connection isn't as quick or smooth as I would like. Once connected though, it's pretty easy to send over the desired document to print. The quality is decent, good enough for your everyday and professional letters. The included thermal paper is ok, though rolled up does cause it to roll up and you'll need to spend some time flattening it. Overall, I wish the design of this printer and app were more foolproof. But as I'm not using it all that often, it's a tradeoff I'm willing to accept.

One of my favorite activities to relieve stress and anxiety is to color. Instead of owning lots of coloring books, I find pictures to color online and print them out. My ink bill really adds up because of all the printing I do. So, when I saw that this printer doesn't need any ink and saw how portable it was, I knew this was something I had to have. When it showed up, I was excited to discover that there was what appeared to be an in depth manual to guide me through the process to set up and use this printer. When I saw that the manual was much shorter and only appeared longer because it is reprinted in like 7 other languages, I began to worry about using this printer successfully. My worries were completely unfounded as the makers of this thermal printer had spent a lot of time making sure that setup and use would be a breeze for even a complete novice. The app that works with the printer was very simple to find due to the QR code in the quick start guide that takes you right to the app in the play store. The app is very simple to use and has a link to go to their store in order to buy more supplies like thermal printing paper. The printer itself only comes with 10 pages of thermal paper. I struggled a bit with figuring out the proper way to feed the paper into the machine but I soon became quite proficient. The app also has several pre-made things that you can print out from schedules to meal planners and even sudoku puzzles. The paper has a different feel then regular paper does and my gel pens smudge really easily when I color on it. I simply make sure to use color pencils on thermal paper and that seems to work really well. The printer paper size can be adjusted from a full size page to something much smaller which really opens up the possibilities of what this printer can do and all without needing to purchase ink. I don't fully grasp thermal technology but as soon as the first page printed, I slammed my hand down on top of it expecting it to be at least as warm as the pages from a copy machine, but it was cool to the touch. This thing is awesome, built to last and has great additional customer support services. I love how compact it is and I'll be looking to purchase a carrying case so I can pack it when I travel. I'm so excited that this thermal printer does everything it advertised being able to do because I'm advising everyone to buy one if they can afford it in their budget. It's great to have on hand even if you don't do a ton of printing and it can handle a variety of different printing tasks. There is no color printing option so maybe reconsider if that's what you need but for everyone else, stop overthinking and purchase it. You'll be really glad you did.
