  • Solid performer - far exceeded my expectations - highly recommended
Color: Olive Green Size: 75 L
I am thoroughy impressed with the performance of this 75L Iceco cooler. I am also impressed with the build quality, functionality, and usable space. This is an absolute winner, and the only thing I would caution users is that it is heavy, so be mindful should you need to move it after filling it up with your goodies. I have had the opportunity to use this cooler on two recent occasions. One was a road trip, which was about a straight 6-hour drive from home to destination. The weather was mid-90s, with a blazing hot sun. During this trip, the cooler was in the bed of my pickup truck. My pickup is black with a hard folding tonneau cover. Nicely, this cooler does not protrude above the top of the bed walls, so I was able to close the tonneau cover. During the commute, I repeatedly checked the cooler temperature via the free Iceco app, and to my amazement, the cooler performed flawlessly. Not one time was it above the set temperature of 37 degrees. This cooler was simply able to keep up with the demands of the extreme heat. Upon arriving at our destination, we determined the hotel did not have the refrigerator space for all of our food, so I needed to haul the cooler to the hotel room. That took some doing. First, I needed to take everything out of the cooler to make it manageable, which is made easy when using the baskets (more on the baskets below). I did so, then put the cooler on the hotel cart, then brought everyhting to the room. Be advised we were at a Hampton Inn, and the luggage cart would not accommodate the cooler along the length, so I needed to load the cooler perpendicular to the cart. That worked great, until I discovered the cooler would not fit through the elevator door. So, I ended up loading the cooler along the length of the cart, angled between the cart rails. Needless to say, I was quite sweaty by the time I got to the room. When we left, my wife and I just carried the empty cooler to the car, which was much easier than using the cart. As far as using the device, setting the temperature is very easy (please note the cooler does not cool both sides at the same time. It does one side, then the other). I didn't put a whole lot of thought into the versatility of the covers, not expecting it to be such a big deal. Well, after using it, I will say that is a very nice feature that the doors can be opened from either side. I did take note over that trip that I was pretty much taking advantage of the dexterity pretty regularly. We had this cooler running in the hotel room for three days non-stop, and it was not disruptive at all. It runs very quiet and had no affect on sleep. It is also so much easier to use than the hotel fridge. While it was plugged into the pickup truck I was able to monitor the power draw through the onboard power management system - the energy demand was nominal, and my truck's 7.2 Kw system was more that capable of handling the cooler. Advice to users: -The 75L cooler is big and heavy even when empty - I am able to manage it by myself (6'02", 225 lbs), but I recommend a two-person carry. So much easier. -While the cooler was in the flatbed, and my phone in the passenger compartment, the app connection was a bit fussy. I needed to hold my phone in just the right spot to connect to the cooler. Not a big deal, just a point of note. Advice to manufacturer: The large cooler basket needs to have handles that protrude above the wall of the cooler. Consider my situation I mentioned above - I needed to remove the baskets to lift the cooler out of the truck and put it on the luggage cart. The basket was heavy, and I literally had to lift it by my fingertips. I was able to, but I am a pretty strong guy. I can say my wife would not be able to do that at all. Also, when lowering the basket back into the cooler, you have a choice - get your fingers pinched between the cooler walls and the basket - ouch - or lower it as far as you can and let the basket drop into the basin, risking damage to the cooler floor. Neither are good options. I ended up removing everything from the basket, installing the basket, and putting everything back in. This defeats having the basket in the first place. Adding handles to this basket would make a huge difference. Finally, I had the need to contact Iceco customer service regarding an ordering issue. They were great to work with. In this day of quality customer service being a fleeting memory, Iceco sets themselves apart. How refreshing. I am absolutely and thoroughly impressed with the performance of this cooler and Iceco, and I can recommend it whole-heartedly. Great job, Iceco! ... show more

  • Nice unit. Customer service was excellent.
Color: Olive Green Size: 75 L
When my ICECO VL75 arrived, it would not cool at all. Everything seemed to be working fine, controls wise, it just wouldn't cool. I contacted customer service, who had me do a few troubleshooting items to possibly eliminate a problem that I could fix (and eliminate the possibility of me being an idiot) without shipping the big thing back. When that didn't work, they sent me a return shipping label, and promptly shipped another unit that works fine. It is a well made unit, with a very clever and functional two door system, one for each zone, that opens from either side, or can be removed all together with just the side door hand releases. The controls are easy to use, and are flexible enough to do all that needs to be done. It can use either 120 VAC or 12-24 VDC. It has two USB charging connectors, which only work when powered by 12-24 VDC. The fridge has two cooling zones that are independently temperature controlled. Either or both zones can be set as low as zero degrees F. If you only need the capacity of one zone, you can deactivate either or both zones to save power. There are also 3 different battery cutoff voltages that you can select to keep your battery from being overly discharged when in the DC power mode. The unit remembers its settings when power is removed, and goes right back into action when power is restored. That is nice if you are turning your vehicle on and off over time, and your outlet turns off also. The fridge makes very little noise, and is almost silent. Each zone has its own LED lighting, which is nice to help see what you are looking for. It comes with a nice set of removable wire storage baskets. It is fairly heavy at 69 pounds, so you want to move it when empty, and then load it up when it is in its final resting place. The doors and storage racks can be removed to lessen the weight somewhat if you have trouble lifting it otherwise. It comes with 4 spare corner bumpers, a spare handle, a spare drain plug, a mediocre but functional manual, and both an AC power cable and a cigarette lighter plug DC power cable. It has a 5 year warranty on the compressor. I also bought the ICECO Insulating cover, which adds additional insulation, and is bright colored to cover up the fridge's dark green color (also available in black) that would heat up the fridge in the sun and increase the power demand. I intend to run this with a Bluetti power station, so I want to minimize power consumption to maximize run time. All in all, a very nice unit, with better than average customer support, which is based in here in the USA. Hopefully the unit's reliability lives up to its 5 year warranty. ... show more

  • Must have for roaming...my third child.
Color: Black Size: 75 L
I have had this unit for a year and have used in varying conditions...from back of a truck back country roads as well as backup freezer in garage..baking in July in backcountry UT...sliding up muddy Bighorns WY...bouncing n' crawling thru 50+mi dirt roads in MT/ID. Powered in mobile ops solely on solar and dc/dc charger Li batteries or solar generator for months on end. About half time in back of truck (loaded and unloaded a couple dozen times) and this thing is still ticking. It's been invaluable to have fresh meat/perishable when civilization is several hours away. CONS: 1) Heavy! Especially once loaded; also always use two people so as not to jar compressor and digital controls upon landing..I am sure your unit will appreciate it over the duration. 2) The plugs (AC/DC) for my model are on the short side which extend the length of this monster. Depending on your truck setup, they can get in the way or worse, get knocked out and shut the unit off. 3) DC plug is way to loose and can get jarred loose. PROs 1) Dual chamber at this size is so useful and, depending on your needs you can switch to have the larger side be either refrigerated OR frozen. 2) 12V only way to go. Inverters have a place in mobile ops but they chew plenty of precious stored energy. I have operated both AC/DC but opt for DC. Fully loaded with goods will ensure the compressor will cycle on less to maintain temp. 3) Love the perfect rectangular shape for packing including the metal hinged handles that go flush. (Minus my complaint about the plug location) 4) Fit and finish amazing. External metal with reinforced corners. Massive side strike caused small dent but never altered operations. Love... this... thing! 5) Set temp and stays. I had one glitch where it appeared to switch temps on sides I set but that was when I first got it. Never happened again. People will be jealous when you have ice cubes and hard ice cream backcountry Texas! NOTES: Do NOT block vents EVER...thankfully it has a protect mode so not to overheat and wreck the unit. It can overheat at temps above 90F if you are not ventilating. Above 105F I was being greedy...glad I didnt have a black one. Also if it goes i to shut down protect...you will have to power it back on manually. Noise level...cant complain..so grateful for the fresh goods on hand. For short trips its overkill for space and power consumption so I am looking for a smaller unit similar design. But for long trips/backcountry stays, its absolutely worth every penny in grilled steaks, huckleberry ice cream, an' ice for la sangria.... ... show more

  • Camping? Emergency? Tailgating or party? Great Product
Color: Black Size: 75 L
Being a family that enjoys the outdoors and camping, we were looking for a portable refrigerator that could fit in our trailer, or the back of our vehicle with no problems. We were looking at ARB, Snomaster and Domentic. However, those were very pricey for the size options they had. We started seeing ads and the brand ICECO as we were shopping around were intrigued by the price for the size options. We decided on this model because of size, dual freezer or fridge option, removable lids and the slide the fits in trailer. However, upon receiving the unit, our residential full size refrigerator started to act up and we needed something to safe what we had. So we used the ICECO vl75 ProD in hopes it would help us get by until the full size unit was fixed. It did that and more as we have had to use it multiple times. Taking it camping was even more of a shock in a positive manner. We had it powered up through the DC port, in ECO mode and small battery draw. With solar panels to charge the trailer during the day, the fridge maintained temperature and and never drained the batteries. We have it on the slide out (built-up to clear the door way) and found that to be the easiest way to access both sides of the ICECO vl75 with ease. However, the last time we had to run it in doors as our backup, I made a mistake. I had it plugged in to the DC port of our electric generator (couldn't find the AC plug) and it was working great. I found the AC plug and forgot it was plugged in to the DC port still. The AC module had agreed to burn out. Customer Service - I reached out to ICECO for the above issue and after trouble shooting the issues, via photos and suggestions from the staff, it was determined that the AC module was no longer properly working. The staff is willing to send us a new unit ILO a refurb and we ARE GREATFUL for that. All-in-all we are very pleased with our ICECO vl75 ProD and have suggest ICECO as a whole to many friends and family members. Their products have not only saved us in a time of need but also served us in a time of joy. I would recommend them for value, quality and performance as well as staff. ... show more

  • Had to update my Review
Color: Black Size: 75 L
This cooler/freezer holds temperature perfectly, the controls are extremely easy the unit is built very, very well. I’m a retired refrigeration tech and the technology on this is just amazing. I have not tried it on 12 V but on 110 V is perfect holds everything exactly as set. If you are looking for a portable cooler, freezer that you do not have to worry about I would highly recommend this unit. UPDATE: The unit was working great until three days ago when we were planning a long road trip. I noticed the display was flashing E5. I checked the manual and it stated the compressor was over heated. Now the location we have it has 8” all the way around the unit. The Temperature of the area is approximately 75 F, inside out camper which is plugged in to shore power of 120 VAC. I called customer service and because of the time zone, I’m on the East Coast there on the West Coast I left a message. Approximately four hours later I got a return call but I had no service. I called them back and I believe this is a call center they took some information and said that I would be contacted by email which to date I have not received anything. I did not want to reschedule my trip so I ended up going to camping world and buying another unit but a different manufacture. I do not want to give This company a bad review but I am a disappointed that I’ve had to spend another $1500 for a refrigerator and freezer. I think it is a very well built unit I may have just gotten a unit with an issue. I can hear the fan running and the compressor tries to come on then clicks off! The display dims then back to normal. I will update my review once I hear from ICECO. I was finally contacted by email asking me a very basic question and I answered it now I’m waiting once again for a response. I would have to say I have dealt with much easier customer service companies in the past. It would be nice to be able to talk to someone and hopefully get a resolution before the warranty expires. When you spend over $1000 for a small refrigerator/freezer you would think They would be a little more responsive so until then it will remain a one star review. I received additional emails and asking me a variety of questions and I answered the best that I could. They did acknowledge that they are a firm in China but they sell to the US. We had to take it over to an appliance shop they were able to repair it, $487.50 later it is not working correctly. I believe that the customer service truly was trying it’s just the time difference the time zones did not allow us to ever talk on the phone and probably the language barrier. I believe it’s a good company I believe it’s a good product I just got one that I had an issue so I’ve increased the stars back to four. If you do decide to purchase one and you have a problem try to be very patient, not one of my virtues but they did try. ... show more

  • Efficient, great build quality and stays cold in hot temperatures
Color: Black Size: 75 L
I’ve been using the ICECO VL75 Pro D for almost 2 years now, it's a great unit and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This fridge handled multiple camping and overlanding trips in the hot desert without breaking a sweat (my kids had ice creams in the desert), it maintained consistent cooling even when outside temps hit triple digits. The dual-zone design is perfect for keeping food and drinks at different temperatures, and the build quality feels rock-solid and premium. What impressed me just as much as the product is ICECO’s customer service. After more than a year and half of use, I reached out with a concern, and they went above and beyond to make things right, even offering a replacement unit. That kind of dedication to customer satisfaction is rare these days and really sets the brand apart. If you’re looking for a reliable, durable, and efficient fridge/freezer for camping or long trips, the VL75 Pro D is worth every penny. Highly recommend this model and the ICECO team behind it. ... show more

  • The Perfect Unit for RVing
Color: Black Size: 75 L
The ICECO VL75 ProD is a great product with features that other units don't include, i.e. 2-way opening doors. Installed in our DYI Class B RV, it provides plenty of storage for food (refrigerated & frozen) and when not in use acts as a sitting area. With space so limited, the ICECO offers best option for usable volume and functionality compared to up right units. The baskets make organizing and access a breeze. The low power consumption is amazing, it runs off my solar with no issues. I have it mounted on the ICECO slider which makes it super convenient to keep tucked away when not in use yet easily access it when needed. ICECO's customer service is incredible!
