Great battery powered mower. Battery lasts a long time and mower does great for the grass. Not sure how well it would do for fields or tall mixed grass but for the average front/back yards it is great. The suction and power does not even compare to a gas mower but you should also not be expecting the same from it either.

A no compromise replacement for the gas mower

Impressive. I have a large 3 acre lawn. Most I cut with the tractor, but around the house, trees, etc I need a push mower. Metal deck, feels like a regular mower. Aluminum handle is stronger than expected. Assembly was easy enough. So far, this has been a no compromise replacement for the gas mower. I was even able to get "mini-bushhog" performance from the GW80V. If you like to charge with solar, I was able to run the GW charger with a 500W inverter, and only took a few percent off a 12V 100aH battery. Photos show an area that I had neglected due to my camera wires, resulting in waist high grass. No problem. Seems to know when to add more power in taller grass, you can hear it rev up. Not sure cutting grass this tall is recommended - but go slowly and it seemed to handle the taller grass with no issue - and not much different than a gas mower. Started this area with a 2 bar charge and still had 1 left when I was done. I am not missing the pull start, either!

1. Very easy to assemble. I had to buy another green Works lawnmower because the one I bought in 2020 was stolen! I bought the exact same lawnmower, but with a higher powered battery. This lawnmower was much improved from the last version. It was so much easier to assemble and the, power of the battery was twice as much as my old battery so it really took care of my long grass. 2 battery Power This battery was twice as powerful as my other lawnmower and it really made a difference. There is also a “turbo “button on the lawnmower to increase the power if you encounter Long grass. I definitely needed this because my lawn had not been mowed for almost 2 weeks. It was easy with this lawnmower to get the job done. 3 Assemble This lawnmower was very easy to put together. It was much heavier than I expected when it arrived, but once I unpacked it all, and took apart the components, the lawnmower itself was not super heavy. The arms are much sturdier than the previous model and did not need to be Assembled. I completed it myself, but I did need to use a YouTube live video to double check on a couple of instructions that were not totally clear. It seems nowadays that the directions have really gone downhill. But YouTube will help you no matter what you’re trying to do!

The best electric mower out there.

Great mower, battery stopped working.

Mower itself is amazing. I have about a quarter acre and it takes a few batteries charges to get through which is fine because I get to take breaks. I also bought an off-brand battery so that I can mow while the other one charges. My only issue so far is that I bought it in the summer of 2024 and it did great through the sunny parts of 2025 as well. However, now that mowing season of 2026 has begun, the stronger, longer lasting brand-name greenworks battery will not work, while the offbrand is still going strong. Not looking forward to spending $200 on a new battery, even through I love the mower itself. We always take the battery out, store it inside a safe, dry, cool area when not actively using it. It just flashes red showing it is defective. Pros: Quiet Lightweight Boost tears through tall grass Don't have to deal with $5/gal gas. Charger is great. Cons: Can't adjust handle for my kid to help mow. Name-brand $200 greenworks battery died in 2 years of seasonal use.

Easy to use

Works perfectly. Battery takes 2 charges to mow small yard but works about 2 hrs. I love tjay it is gas free and is easyily storable in small storage house. Easy to use and move about. Isnt terribly loud.

Good Mower

I've been using this for a full season now without problems. It picks up pretty well even when the grass is damp. I scoffed at the headlight, but it has actually come in handy to mow in the cool of the evening when it has started getting dark.

Go for it
Size: 21 in Mower (1 x 4.0Ah)
Once I figured the proper way to use it, it's a life changing tool. Size is standard, not heavy and not having to deal with gas/oil and carburator really makes it easy to use and maintain. Runs about 40 min on a full charge (1000 sqft) but don't let the grass grow up to much.
