  • Everybody should have 1 of these
Size: 63QT-T Version
This cooler is perfect, We have made a few trips moving across the country, we keep stuff for sandwiches so we don't have to eat McCrap wile on the road. It works great in hot weather and in colder weather. I did buy the insulated cover for it as it travels in the back of the truck. while travelling it keeps drinks cold and keeps ice cream bars frozen solid. We do unplug it at night when we stop to rest. In the morning the freezer portion is still 12* - 18* and is back down to 0* in about a half hour. We also plan to use it for costco runs for frozen foods as we're about an hour out of a big city. no disappointments on this. Runs 12 volts cig lighter socket or plugs into the wall outlet with the furnished adapter. It cools from room temperature to 35* in the fridge section and 15*ish in the freezer in about an hour, fully cold in about 2 hours. Doesn't seem to draw much on the battery either and has 3 level battery shut off so you won't be stranded if you leave it plugged it. Did I say that I love it? UPDATE: Last month on a cross country trip the freezer compartment quit responding, I contacted Amazon who contacted the seller Alpicool about warranty, Alpicool promptly sent me a new unit which arrived in 3 business days and sent me a return shipping label for the old unit. You can't ask for better service then that. This is a great unit and I opted for a replacement rather then a refund. Even with an issue I highly recommend this cooler. Excellent product and excellent seller. I also recommend getting the insulated cover, handy pockets to store the cords and protects the cooler. ... show more

  • Fantastic Refrigerator/Icebox
Size: 63QT-T Version
We do a fair amount of cross-country driving. Usually have a cooler w/us depending on the trip. This trip was a 4 day drive and we had to bring in food supplies and needed to stay frozen. During the trip up, dry ice was particularly hard to find. Regular Ice just didn't keep the meats frozen like we needed. For the return trip, we purchased the Alpicool T60 Fridge/Freezer. Looking at primarily the freezer operation in this case to haul back the fish, meat and vegetables we were bringing home. The Cooler met and exceeded my expectations. When we got it, read thru the instructions and got it cooling down to -10 degrees w/in about 45 min. on AC pwr. If using only as a freezer, it's very easy to operate. To use as a Fridge/Freezer, you place the patrician back in and it splits the operation of the cooler into a Freezer/Fridge operation. You can set each section individually at the temps you want. In our case we only needed the Freezer operation for this trip. Works really well whether on AC power or DC power. Since it didn't have a battery to keep it running at night when we'd stop, we'd roll the cooler into our room and plug it in. Back in the truck, back on DC power. Operationally was great. By the time we got the Cooler home, it had started to develop frost inside the cooler and everything was frozen solid. Had two complaints about it, but not enough of an issue to me to drop a star off the rating. 1. The instructions were not laid out well. The instruction manual had multiple models listed in the manual. Was confusing at first which page was for our unit. Because there was so much info on the pamphlet, the text was small and in my opinion, needed to be re-written to make the instructions more clear & simple. As a Tech minded guy, I knew what they were trying to say, others may have struggled w/it. My suggestion for them is the just have the one pamphlet for the one product only on the sheet. I know it will cost a few more pennies to have multiple instruction pamphlets, but think it would be worth it. 2. Was not impress w/the handles to move the cooler. Yes it had wheels on it, but when you have one of the larger coolers loaded, depending on what you are hauling, the cooler could be 40 to 65 pounds or more. As they coolers get larger, My suggestion would be to add another set of wheels on the other end of the cooler so you could just pull it along. Trying to roll the cooler w/the extended handle they provide, made for a strenuous lean and bend of the back when you go from parking lots to rooms and back. As well, the handle that you use, should be thicker and rounded, maybe even padded. Would fit the hand better. After moving the cooler into my room the first night, I had very red pinch marks on my hands from hauling the cooler to my room. Took a few days for the pinch/bruising to go away. Was it the end of the world, no, just a bit of an annoyment. Moving forward, I'm going to get one of those little collapsable luggage dollies and will be all good. Like I said, my 2 gripes, were just that gripes. Not show stoppers by any mean. Overall though; Fantastic cooler. very pleased with it. Highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Works GREAT!
Size: 63QT-T Version
I bought this fridge/freezer for my semi - it doesn't have a built-in fridge. It works great, and I mean beyond my expectations. I'm out on the road M-F, so from the time I climb in on Monday morning, to the time I get back to the yard on Friday night, it's on and running all the time. It cools down rapidly on Monday morning when I start it up, and gets all my water and drinks cooled by the time I've put in about 100 miles to do my first tire check. I make sure when I am done for the week, I pull the power cord from the 12V power outlet, and prop the lid to keep it open. This keeps it fresh inside. It will freeze water bottles no problem. One thing that's vitally important to know is - get the app for your phone to control it. There are a LOT of settings that you will need to tweak to make it work properly and accurately. I accidentally froze a couple salads before I figured it all out. Now, after getting all the settings down right, it works so great. It draws very little current once it gets cold, and keeping it running all night with the engine off is no issue whatsoever. It seems like it must have an internal battery that it pretty much runs off of when the input voltage is below ~13V. My truck's batteries are never below 12.5 volts in the morning after 10 hours of the engine off. If anything in this review changes, I'll come back to edit this review. So far, after about 3 weeks of solid use, it's been flawless. It's quiet at night - I always prefer really desolate and quiet places to sleep for the night, and it's whisper quiet once it gets down to operating temps. I would VERY highly recommend this unit to anyone. Well worth the money, and the cost is significantly lower than some of the big name brands. ... show more

  • When it works it works well, but doesn't last, T-60 only lasts 4 months
Size: 63QT-T Version
I am on my third alpicool cooler fridge. I have purchased 2 with the generic alpicool compressor, and 1 with the lg compressor. The t-60 has a dual zone refrigeration system that uses a single compressor and utilizes a valve to select where the refrigerant goes. This is the biggest cooler that you're going to fit between the seats of a freightliner cascadia (2019 generation) daycab, it’s snug between the back wall and the dash... I typically set mine at 38f for cold drinks and 4f for frozen food storage for supper. I love that it has wheels for the occasional times I need to pull it along the ground. This isn't that light empty, and has a Lot of room to make it stupid heavy when you load it up. I love that it has digital controls with a actual temperature setting and reading, and that you can have even more control when you connect to it via the app. It really doesn't draw much power when running, which helps. The drain plug is a nice addition for cleaning. Unfortunately customer support seems to have diminished over time, they were ready to help with my first cooler, but when the second one failed after 4 months I couldn't even get a response. Hopefully the manufacturer will see this review and re-evaluate, given it's durability issues.... *Update, 4 months in and lgt-60 has also FAILED. This is a lot of money for such a short term solution. Further inspection revealed wires corroded out on the cf-55 (my first alpicool) after over 3 years of service. ... show more

  • Dual zone is the key
Size: 63QT-T Version
I bought and it arrived a week later on 5/25/20. Box had busted in area on the side. No foam protected the sides of T60 just on top and bottom. The top corner was dented from what looks like it was dropped on the top of the box. I plugged it in and set freezer on 0 and 35 for fridge side. It took over night to have water bottle frozen. Temp inside was running average 6 degrees warmer then the digital temp on cooler said it was on the freezer side. I checked it on and off . It still froze water bottle, but iis it broken? I dont know. I will unplug it and test it again. It cools fridge side but have not tested inside temp against digital read out yet. Spend 399.00 I would think digital read should match inside temp. I am still please with it, but dont know if it is broken from all the tumbling it took to get to me. I left it alone for over 8 hours before plugging it in . I bought this to help camping, hurricane season, power outages, going to hook up to solar when I figure that all out. The outer size is a beast. I saw a T50 and wanted a bit more room. Plus dual zones. That feature is why I bought the T60. The idea of being able to freeze and fridge stuff was a seller to me. The racks come out which help . I do not like the wheel set up. Lifting up and pull the weight it tough. Another brand has a handle and wheels like a suitcase so you can tilt back and push or pull and you are not having the weight on your handle. I have arthritis so a bit heavy even with the wheels on the T60. It is made well. I'm not sure if you can use it to sit on. I have friends I have to watch because they will . I sent a email but have not heard back yet if I should send back because temp inside freezer side runs 6 degrees warmer then digital read out on cooler or just get used to it and set lower then desired temp. To get the temp. I'll do more tests on it and can get back on here with a update. Update, 6/8. I am still testing. Freezer does the job but will not be exact as digital read all the time. Mostly runs 4-6 degrees warmer inside. So just set it on -4 to get your 0 degrees. I hit 4 stars now instead of 3. Fridge side works. Next I'll get it into a car and test 12 volt. Update will follow. ... show more

  • Great addition for camping

I was a little skeptical at first only one side worked. One we received a new control panel and installed it it works great! Both side can be controlled separately and keep different temperatures.

  • Totally Satisfied

My refrigerator stopped work two times. First it was the compressor and then 4 weeks later it was the evaporator coils. The first time I put ice in a cooler to keep items refrigerated, but not frozen. The second time the scheduled repair service was 8 days after I made the phone request. I didn't want to take a chance losing the frozen food I had so I purchased T60 because of its 75 quart capacity and dual temperate control. It arrived the next day after placing my order. Terrific! I opted not to keep the divider in so that I could set the temperature to below freezing for the entire capacity of the Alpicool. I was confident enough that my cooler, aka ice chest, could keep the items in it cold enough to prevent significant spoilage. I haven't tried to connect the car adapter to supply power to Alpicool, but using house current I could set the temperature anywhere I chose and the Alpicool went to that temperature and stayed there. My refrigerator is now repaired and seemingly working well, but I see this Alpicool as my back to that refrigerator should it stop cooling/freezing again. I have a small home and have no room for a second standard size refrigerator. The alpicool T60 doesn't take up much room in my kitchen. ... show more

  • Excellent Choice... I am very happy with mine.
Size: 63QT-T Version
This item arrived four days sooner than expected. I picked it up from an Amazon Hub the day after it arrived. The hub was storing my car-fridge on its end, though the box was clearly marked otherwise. I loaded it into my van, right-side UP... and did not touch it again for 30 hours. I unpacked it, connected it to my solar-system via the accessory/c-lighter plug, (12v, no inverter)... and set the temperature: left side to 38 degrees, right side to 17 degrees. Numbers I chose for no particular reason. I've had this fridge/freezer for ~30 days. I have had absolutely no problems. The noise level is very low. The freezer side is great. I've been in hot desert and mild forest. I've had ice-cream and frozen-flavored ice every day that I've wanted them. My peppers are frozen, waiting for when I need them. My blueberries are likewise. The fridge side works great. My eggs and bacon stay perfect. My milk stays ice-cold. As does my soda., etc. This fridge/freezer has been a game changer for me. I no longer chase or buy ice. I don't have to go into town nearly as often. I am very happy with my purchase. Would recommend it to everyone who wants to save money over buying ice. And everyone who enjoys the convenience of a refrigerator/ freezer. ... show more
