This ice maker is easy to use and clean. I have used it for 6 months now and it still works great. I do remove the ice and put it in the freezer after it makes the ice because I feel it doesn’t keep it super cold but I like the size and everything of the ice cubes it produces!

I use spring water in the reservoir and I still seem to have a film producing on the walls of reservoir, is there a filter to replace ? Is this normal

    • Ice cubes are not fully frozen

The machine works efficiently, but the ice cubes are simply not fully frozen, particularly during the first few cycles of ice production. We immediately move the cubes into a container in the freezer when they are made, and because they are not fully frozen, they stick together in a big block as they finish freezing. We have learned to keep a small hammer nearby, which we use to break the big ice block into usable chunks. I see no evidence of settings to make the cycle last longer, or to reduce the temperature of the ice as it forms. It still functions more or less, but if I knew this in advance I probably would have selected another ice maker. ... show more

    • Small ice and melts so fast
I've owned other ice machines so my review is based on that comparison. The reason I'm returning this item is because the ice (even if you select the bigger size) is very small. Even I could get past that, the ice melts super fast in my drink (less than 1 minutes). So I end up with a watery drink versus a cold drink within the first minute. I have not had that issue with other ice machines. I wanted to love it due to the great price, but I got tired of the ice melting so fast in the drink. By the way, I'm indoors in a cool room using a steel, insulated cup. If you leave the ice in the machine, it sticks together and you have to break it apart. Again, I have not encountered this issue with other machines. If you can live with these issues, then this is a good price. ... show more

This ice maker is perfect for RV’ing or? We love it! Small enough to store away when not using. Makes plenty of ice in a very short time. We use it once a week and bag all of the ice in baggies. Simple to use and works like a champ!

Ice cube aren’t clear but I don’t really care about that. I didn’t really notice a size difference on smaller and larger cubes Con: -wish the drainage hole was in the corner so I could get all the water out. Says not to tilt it more than 45° but little water stays in because the hole is in the middle -I thought I could just keep the ice in there but they melt after a while. Pro: -decent ice maker for the price -to me doesn’t seem like takes long to fill up the basket ... show more
