    • Develops mold/mildew and rusts/oxidizes
We have loved having ice constantly available the last few months, however a few days ago I noticed mildew developing at the bottom of the tank. I cleaned it out per the instructions, and used a descaler solution to help clean out what I may have missed, then noticed mold in the housing that holds the cubes while they are being made which has been nearly impossible to get to for cleaning. Everything I've read online has said to use a 10:1 ratio of water to vinegar to wipe down any mold, so I tried doing that, and the metal prongs that the ice forms around started rusting forming blue oxidation crystals overnight! This thing is only a few months old so there is absolutely no reason why a small amount of vinegar should have caused that quick of a reaction if the metal prongs we're truly food safe, especially since they were rinsed off with water after. Still desperately trying to clean and salvage it, and have not found any way to contact the sellers to see if I could receive a refund, but at this point I really would not recommend buying this unless you want to risk food safety. ... show more

I bought this for my husband for Christmas 2021. We didn't use it often till September 2022 because our work kept us out of town too much. We started using it regularly in September and it stopped working just after Christmas. I loved it while I used it. I can't find anywhere information about the warranty or how to contact the manufacturer ... show more

    • Stopped making ice
The first one I got in October 2021, it ran until March 2022, the water line was broke. They sent me a replacement that was fine until yesterday and it stopped making ice. The cycle runs but there's no ice and the inside feels hot when you open the lid. I'm guessing it's out of refrigerant. I'll go back to using ice trays.. Product worked well for months, but is now leaking through the interior of the machine somehow, and the ice cubes being made are lumpy and small, almost like nugget ice. The machine is well-maintained, so I’m not sure what happened.
